Hey everyone! I apologize for forgetting to mention I actually paid 950 for the whole paint job!
I'm in NC too! Good deal. Nice truck man
That's a great deal. I've got a 2001 Ranger with failing paint in Wilmington so I might go to Maaco too
That's insane for how good it looks
Wow, y’all raised a fine young man in will. I know you are proud!
I appreciate that
Literally an angel ❤ I was thinking the same thing the entire video!
I really appreciate the way you carry yourself, William. This was a great presentation. God bless.
Thanks Justin! I’m glad you liked the video!
Dang dude, that's a nice truck, and that paint job is great. It actually looks like it's fresh off the lot.
you speak so well, I swear your parents must be so proud to have a son like you.... Thank you for sharing the knowledge, experience and time in your life in this video.....
I was an automotive painter for years. It looks awesome.
Thanks Danny!
Your truck looks great.
My truck needs the same before it is too late.
It's nice to see how much you appreciate it and care for it.
Thank God for great parents and their appreciative children.
I can appreciate the work you have all done with everything.
Love your truck.
Appreciate the video.
Thanks Jeff. We just put some shocks on the other day. Will said it handles a lot better.
@@Jtwes That sounds great. Keep up the good work guys. God Bless,
Looks great! That’s one sharp Dakota.
Enjoy that moment sir, because once it's gone it can't be replaced. Good looking truck and if you take good care of it, it'll last you a long time.
I'm getting ready to start helping my step-son putting together his late grandfathers truck the same way. I just hope that I can get these old bones out there to do such work. God Bless and take care.
Thanks! I hope fixing up his truck goes well and you two make great memories together doing it!
looks great
It looks like a brand new truck!
Love that you have learned to work on your truck, and that you are proud of it, you should be. I know your father is proud of YOU! What a fine young man you are.
Your Dak looks great! I had a 98 Dak I kept for 24 years as a daily driver. My Dad was a mechanic and I also have fond memories of working on cars boats and dirtbikes together. Enjoy these times.
Thanks! I’ve had mine since I was sixteen and I do plan on keeping it as a daily driver!
Great stuff Will! Never met you or your family, but I love you guys! An inspiration to all! God bless!
Wow 950, I would be interested in that. On camera the truck looks awesome. Thanks for the video.
Real nice truck and you know what you have. You're a smart young man.Truth be known it's a better truck than any new one now.
Thank you, and yes, much less electronics on it to fail
It looks awesome Will!!! Enjoy!
Thanks for sharing the video Will. Truck looks great. That's a great testimony to the kind of man your Dad is. He's a good man and I am glad I've gotten to know him and meet y'all too. Good job with your videos Will.
I had a friend that bought a new 1964 Ford pickup truck with a 352 and that was when most trucks had six cylinders when he got home he put a quilt behind the seat and he wouldn't haul anything without the quilt he drove it about 25 years and it still looked like new, another good show and God bless and may he keep you and your family safe , been a RUclips subcriber since about 2500 members
Thanks Joe
yes I agree nice job and you are a very respectable gentleman !!
Truck looks great! Lots of hard work was invested in! Great job
Thanks so much Cody, it’s definitely been lots of work with greasy hands and late nights!
Nice job, I think it’s a nice looking truck. Congratulations!
Looks amazing! Love you 😘
Sharp looking truck.
Looks fantastic!
Truck looks great. Love the sentimental value it holds for you and the memories with your dad. My dad wasn't a car guy but one of my friend's had a dad who was, and I spent a lot of time in his shop as a teenager and young man working on muscle cars and trucks. I am hoping my son will take an interest in it as I want to get a car or truck for him when he's 15 in a few years and fix it up with him so he will learn how to take care of it and also respect it more than if I just bought him a new vehicle that he could beat the hell out of.
Ephesians 6:4 KJV
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
This is all I ever tried to do with all my sons.
Truck looks great! Keep it up, love the content.
One of the cleanest 98's I've seen
My God, in such a fast paced give me my Amazon box now... I hold the utmost respect for you!... I can only IMAGINE if even if our own country had similar values we would have 0 wars, climate issues.....
Your truck looks good !! An you have a wonderful sprit.
Very nice truck with good memories of working with Dad. Pretty good looking paint job. I hope it holds up. Heck seems that red paint would be have that price charged.
I just got a 98. Bought bedless so was able to prep & rust proof the frame easily. Found a good bed, painted & now just about ready to go.
By the way, I am old enough to be your Dad's dad, LOL!
It looks awesome!!! Great job!
Earl Sheib used to advertise paint any car for 99.95. I had a car painted by them in around 1990. They did a great job. Dropped it off in the afternoon and picked it up the next day.
Hey bobs, boy I wish it was 100 dollars! But none the less it was still cheaper than 2600 dollars. I ended up paying 950 dollars instead.
I remember those commercials! Good times
When I was a kid it was paint any car for 19.95. Really good times!!!!
Great vid! Looks awesome!
Wow looks great
Awesome!
Great video, William! ❤
Meggy J !!!
Looks great. I’ve been thinking about using them to paint my old daily driver.
I’d say go for it, at the very least it’s better than no paint on it
Truck looks great!!
Looks great. I thought customer prep work voided the warranty?
Awesome truck and awesome video and a great Dad
Thanks a lot Melvin!
Your truck looks great! I have a 98 Dakota and it is the same color as yours. Still has the original paint and for the most part still looks really good with the exception of some clear coat peeling off on the hood and on top of the cab.
Hey Steve, that’s how mine started but quickly spread over the truck😬 I recommend maybe refinishing the clear so you can save the paint.
turned out beautiful
I’m glad you think so!😁
Love the truck, I've always loved older dodge trucks, I'm hoping to get mine up and running and get a nice paint job for it
Let me know if you have any questions about your truck Aiden, me and dad know tons about them!
@willjones9314 Will do!! I'm just waiting for my dad to fix the rusted cab cab mounts to get it inspected
Nice looking truck.
Nice
Forgot: I've been working on a 99 Ford F-250 with the good 7.3 diesel in it for 3 or 4 years now. Just about done and it looks and runs perfect.125xxx miles on it and I use it every other month to split miles between it and my 2017 Ram 3500 with the 6.7 Cummins. Put a good camper shell/topper on the Ford along with a bed platform and R.V. mattress which wife and I use for camping trips. Love the old Ford.
Don’t let dad see this comment but I really like the 90s ford especially the f250! If I had one I’d love to build it like a classic highboy ford.
Nice truck! Good job Will.
Thanks so much Bama!
I had a 57 Chevy painted by Maaco they did some minor bodywork and paint 1200 came out great everyone thought it was a high end paint job.
Love to see a review at year one, two, 5 . To see how this lasts.
Looks great, nice you can work on things together! By the way how much did you save by sanding your vehicle yourself?
I ended up paying 950 dollars for the job!
I'd get the rapterliner off eBay...or the Upol equivalent...t rex or whoever makes them. There DIY spray in , comes with the gun to spray it. I like it way better than the herculiner roll in.
Looks great now, lets see how long it lasts if it sits in the elements
Well see
I have a 1999 dodge 1500 4x4 need to get painted
Now you will want to baby it, worry about every scratch will go on it and worry about that bed now, wanting to get a spray in liner for fear of scratching that. It does look good.
Commented before the bed liner comment 😂
How's the paint holding up?
From what I’ve seen great.
Lets goo!
Assume 😊
I don’t get it.
Please don't do the Herculiner Bedliner. I've seen some turn out pretty bad. With the time and effort put into that truck, I'd pay the $450 or so to have a bedliner sprayed in by a pro.
Anyone ever tell you that you look like Cillian Murphy?
Daddy's clone........😄
There is no clear coat now that’s single stage paint
👍
I like your work ethic(and your truck)... TRUMP'24
Do your own work, don't trust mechanics.
Unless there Dave out in Colorado. Lol
I thought this was the Will from @RicerMiata lmfao
Nope just my William
