Thank you very much for covering INDIKA in this video! I was watching your channel for a long time and now it's very pleasant to know that you liked our game ❤
Ngl, this title is slightly bait-ey, since Omori and Balatro are pretty prominent indie games, Balatro and Omori have actually sold more or less 1 million copies, those two in particular are anything BUT underrated 😂😂😂 And Omori has got quite a large presence on social media, as for Balatro, I guess you can say its presence isn't as pronunced as Omori's, but yeah, both of those games are by any means, quite famous. Though, still a solid list, Anger Foot...is something else is what I'll say.
I get that title is clickbait, but Balatro and Omori each sold 1+ million copies, they're very much rated. Surely you don't expect them to be GTA-level popular or something. My fav indie games are usually metroidvania with difficulty, scale and depth. Stuff like La-Mulana, Environmental Station Alpha, Aetherna Noctis, Batbarian, Rabi-Ribi. Games with layers and layers of complex challenging content that really feels like an epic adnventure. Recentely was pretty impressed by Frogmonster. Also Wuppo, more people need to play Wuppo.
Yea i was totally surprised when i read the title and then saw games such as Omori here because those games are pretty much everything BUT underrated lol

Slayers X - Duke Nukem styled story with a meta story of a guy who made the concept when he was 13 and finished it as an adult. Aloof - Versus arcade puzzle game with a cute style. Spark The Electric Jester Trilogy- Sonic inspired games with 2 and 3 being 3D platformers.
I just played through Fallen Aces last week with my husband, and I can't tell you how much I love the aesthetic, and the time period of choice. It feels like there's so many options on how to get to the end, and so many secrets. I think I really just missed the Doom era of gaming because that's very much what Fallen Aces feels like, is a more open-world Doom clone (in all the best ways).

It's also nice that they aren't 100s of hours long so I can actually have the time to beat them.

i think a reason for anger foot being underated could be bc they published the demo way too early so people forgot about it after waiting for yrs, sorta like pepper grind or spider heck as other examples
Alright, I get clickbait sometimes; sure throw a popular game in the thumbnail to drive clicks. But when you take up the majority of the video with games that are actually not underrated. What this feels like is you had a chance to actually spotlight games that need it - a chance to change a developers life. Instead you shine the spotlight on games that, while I am sure the developers are thankful, really didn't need any more coverage. Man, it's just disappointing to see that.
Omori came out in 2020!? It feels like one of those iconic classic RPG Maker games, like OFF, Hylics, Ao Oni, or Mad Father. I can't believe it's nearly 15 years newer than all of those.
Anger Foot is a fun name because it’s a play on the name of a Hardcore/Gabber producer, Angerfist, given how much Hardcore is in the game’s soundtrack it can’t possibly be a coincidence.
Appreciate you covering more indie content, would love to see this series expanded ♡ If you take recommendations, do check Nine Sols, Library of Ruina, Into the Breach, etc
I got a great one for this video series, UnMetal. It's basically classic style Metal Gear game that's notably funnier. But it's a solid stealth action game.
A game i just played that i think belongs here is In Stars and Time and its supplement, Start Again Start Again Start Again: A Prologue. Excellent time loop TBRPGs, the prologue takes 1-3 hours, the full game 20-30 but i personally managed to get about 60 hours of unique events and progression out of it
I've always wanted to play Omori, but the Steam reviews have turned me off to it... They're all memes like "made me depressed - 10/10" or "Wanted to die - masterpiece!" but I'm not sure how accurate that really is. I don't want to feel depressed playing a game... I struggle enough with anxiety enough as it is, not sure I want to add depression on top of it. Can anyone tell me if the game is really that upsetting?
Oh Omori. Amazing game that I'll never want to play again, gameplay was so tedious but the music and the story made me feel feelings I've never felt before
You should do a list of indy Tower Defense games, there are a wide array, sadly far too many bland efforts, but some really interesting entries with their own style and flavor.
Not many of these are underrated or even unknown? Like maybe 2 or 3 these I personally had never heard of, but the rest are either brand new (which hasn't even had the chance of being underrated) or already hits
If there were games like Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, Cookie Cutter, Zet Zillions, Soulstice and Blud in this video, or whatever other solid lesser-known titles there may be, then the video would be more agreeable to be about "underrated games". Or at least, lesser-talked about ones that deserve and can use more attention. There's a bunch of future ones too that haven't gotten much coverage, like Immortal: And the Death that Follows, Decline's Drops, Genokids, My Familiar, Ruffy and the Riverside, Judero, The Dungeon Experience, Near-Mage, Bad Boro, Resistor, Loco Motive, Kraino Rebirth... so many cool ones.
I know that some people are giving criticism that "some of these games are really popular," but for someone that isn't plugged into the Steam store and basically boots it up to specifically check out something, this was super helpful.
I love your videos dude, but I dont think you understand what underrated means. Theres a good few on this list that have both critical and user acclaim, so you know, actually RATED really well, and thats not including the commercial success they also have achieved.

No meme… Anger Foot might be my game of the year. That or Children of the Sun (another great indie game)
boy we gooning
The first game Anger Foot reminds me of FPS Rico.
All this talk about anger foot, everyone is sleeping on post void 😢
My son! Forever showing me why he's my favorite.
Thanks for the exposure to these, been too long since I tried some indie games and these look gorgeous
dear mr. son,
roses are red,
violets are blue.
dark souls videos when?
i hope it's in your to-do.
best regards,
Bahnsen knights reminds me of milk inside a bag of milk inside a bag of milk
Such an underrated gem
Fallen aces is awesome but fuck ultrakill is so much better and genuinely one of the best games ever
Oh Omori. Amazing game that I'll never want to play again, gameplay was so tedious but the music and the story made me feel feelings I've never felt before
Excellent, a new one from my favorite son while I eat my breakfast
Hope you enjoy!
Breakfast crew assemble
Thanks son! Always love your content! 😊
yeah... underrated... sure
Anger foot, balatro, fallen aces and omori are FAR from being underrated bruh
You should do a list of indy Tower Defense games, there are a wide array, sadly far too many bland efforts, but some really interesting entries with their own style and flavor.
‼️ Awesome Video 🙌
Not many of these are underrated or even unknown? Like maybe 2 or 3 these I personally had never heard of, but the rest are either brand new (which hasn't even had the chance of being underrated) or already hits
If there were games like Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, Cookie Cutter, Zet Zillions, Soulstice and Blud in this video, or whatever other solid lesser-known titles there may be, then the video would be more agreeable to be about "underrated games". Or at least, lesser-talked about ones that deserve and can use more attention.
There's a bunch of future ones too that haven't gotten much coverage, like Immortal: And the Death that Follows, Decline's Drops, Genokids, My Familiar, Ruffy and the Riverside, Judero, The Dungeon Experience, Near-Mage, Bad Boro, Resistor, Loco Motive, Kraino Rebirth... so many cool ones.
what’s the sniper game shown at about 0:38? absolutely love that graphic style
fallen aces u silly sausage
Great to see you, Son
Dad - London UK
+ Blood West, please check it guys, i'm a gamer since 90s and this game is one of the best games i ever played
id rather pay 5 bucks and have fun for 1h then $50 bucks and be meh for 20h.
Son, I know she's not your mom but she's in a bad place right now. Thanks for always being there when I need you.
OMORI MENTIONED!
If you make a similar video, could you include a Indie Driving game? Would love if it was compatible with wheels and pedals.
There's a few indie driving games that I've had my eye on
There's the upcoming Resistor which may be interesting where racing games are concerned.
We have very similar tastes. 🤜
You can inf on Balatro BTW it's so hard tho lol
I know that some people are giving criticism that "some of these games are really popular," but for someone that isn't plugged into the Steam store and basically boots it up to specifically check out something, this was super helpful.
I love your videos dude, but I dont think you understand what underrated means. Theres a good few on this list that have both critical and user acclaim, so you know, actually RATED really well, and thats not including the commercial success they also have achieved.
