    If by any means you are not a doctor..please consider yourself a Succulent Doctor... Ur explanations of the topic are thorough yet well explained and so methodical that I don't see how better it could have been done..will request you to please put your knowledge and teaching abilities to good use and write a book for us on Succulents..🙏🙏

      Aww your comment made my day 😊
      Thank you so much really appreciate.....I wish could have done more ....but the issue is climate that is the main in hurdle ...unfortunately in India we don’t have zone like how they have it in America....if we had zones in India it would have been much easy to understand and grow succulents....here we randomly buy succulents irrespective of weather the climate suits them or no.
      I initially thought to write a blog ....but when I was going through several blogs it was difficult to understand certain things now for me it’s easy to picture things in mind cause I have an experience in succulents but for newbies it will be very difficult to image what’s being written .....so I thought visual presentation will be much better to understand.

    That was a super helpful video. I'm glad I found you here. I'm in a sub-tropical area and I'm encouraged to see that you have beautiful succulents thriving outside even with your rainy monsoon season. Do you cover them, protecting them from days and days of rain? They looked so beautiful.

    • @LushGardener
      @LushGardener  4 года назад

      Nannette Austin thank you...yes it’s slightly difficult to maintain them during the monsoons but with few precautions they are good ....yes I cover them with plastic sheets also during this season need to be quite vigilant as the fungi ,pests,bugs activity increases so have to watch out for those ...Apart from this another reason is my city is quite elevated above the sea level ( succulents prefer hilly or mountain like environment ) giving us a pleasant climate throughout the year ....so most part of the year its dry at the day time and cool humid at night just what they prefer......so that contributes to their well being

    • @LushGardener
      @LushGardener  3 года назад +1

      yes just type in green net for gardening you will find it ..
      go for a 50 percent net .....but now as monsoon arrives green net won’t be of much help because if your succulents are out you would also need some kinda transparent plastic sheet to protect them from rains

    Can we convert the semidormant period to growing period.. for example by
    Keeping inside the room but then what about sun exposure requirement...??

    • @LushGardener
      @LushGardener  3 года назад +1

      Yes semi dormant can be converted into growing period provided you manipulate with the temperature....keep indoors is good idea but you would require bright indirect sunlight or you can use grow lights to over come the light issue

      @@nikitapatel5244 oh ok it’s going to be a challenge mam ....
      Now this is something you will have to work with .....you need a space that has either direct morning sun or indirect bright light ....apart from that the place where it’s placed should be cooler and dry ......they don’t like to sit in moist soil too long
      Now you wil have to arrange for a place like this...I’m from Bangalore in monsoons and winters they do well but as soon as summers hit especially in the months of April - May even with temperature around 35-36 they just die .....so I stopped keeping them in my collection unless I get as a gift again that doesn’t last long ....they do well in cooler places
