Ok, I'm impressed. 70 from a Grom, who-dah-thunk-it....
Damn that's something my mom and brother would say who da thunk it
That’s a plucky little moto, Dick 👍.
Love it. I’ll have to out and try to get clear water. Can’t have a Grom equalling the Monkey 😂.
Ah! Hanger Lane Giratory System. Brings back a few memories
The Grom wouldn’t never…
great vid Dick . ..
Thanks Jon. Hope you are well. Happy New Year.
all good Dick, happy and healtny to you and your familt as well !
Well that's a variation on the slogan.
"You meet the horniest people on Honda."
Does it feel stable at 70 MPH? 12'' wheels and lousy suspension would make me nervous. Going to the local Chiang Rai village bar later. There is always a Grom just like yours, same colour, parked outside. Nick
It feels really stable. I’m very impressed. The suspension may need some attention, but so far so good. I don’t like running near red line for sustained period, but it is a Honda…
@@DickWhistles I will follow your progress with it with great interest, Dick. These engines are bulletproof. I love the way they cant forward, like the bottom half of a very small Ducati L-twin. Nick
2023 isn't much faster with the 5th gear. Fully stock, if I'm tucked and drafting a large vehicle I can get over 74 mph. Feels sketchy AF and was worried about hurting the engine lol
Thanks for the owner’s perspective. The engine will be fine, it’s a Honda! I just think there are thousands of better bikes for highway journeys. But if you find yourself needing to keep up, it has the beans if necessary. Ride safe.
Me think you rode it during the storm that was just passing through yesterday and had the storm as tailwind.. because my Honda Dax ST 125 with same engine will only go 60 mph on a straight with no tucking and no wind.
Actually this was filmed last week in a very calm day. I too was looking for reasons. I was surprised to see the number on the display. I haven’t checked to see the sprocket situation yet. Thanks for the comment.
@@DickWhistles ah yes if the sprocket is changed the speedometer is more off than usual.. but usually the speedometer on the Honda mini bikes are not far off compared to GPS
