Android is amazing on X86 and I am surprised that Google themselves haven't cottoned on to this and produced an official version with the Play Store that could be used instead of Windows.
Then Google would just overload it with Data Sucking Bloatware.. and the necessity for a Gmail account to use the thing... Sorry.. don't see or even WANT to see that happening...
I was thinking about trying Orange Pi 800 Android 12 OS. I like the VGA out beside the HDMI. I wonder how Retro Arch runs on it??? I own My Boy! and My Old Boy! so there is that. I do love me some Gameboy Family of Systems. I love keyboard computers too. The best of both worlds.
Will this OS allow DRM ? I am wondering if this allows streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime. Thanks for showing the applicability of slimmed down OSs on older hardware 👍
I have a netbook here we found after a move, its an old Acer Aspire one with an into Atom N455 . the crazy thing is that it still holds hours of charge on its battery (I had it running quake for about 4 hours). but I am wondering if there is any Android builds you might recommend for such an old netbook
I would try Bliss OS on it. I have Prime OS on it now, but the os interface isn’t as fast. Definitely looks better and has the Play store, just not snappy
interesting, I got a dell inspiron 3147 celeron 2-in-1 and run windows 10 on it. But this looks exceptionally snappy. I just upgraded my lil machine to actually use in 2023 w 8gbs ram and a 1 tb ssd. despite this, the processor still hangs quite a bit sometimes. The only thing keeping me from trying this is hardware support. Drivers for touchscreen, bluetooth, wlan, etc. are non-existant for many of the linux distros ive tried. I'm curious to try this out though.
Bliss OS seems to be a great way to make this poor celeron run like a champ. I'd kinda like to see how this bad boy handle Windows XP for some oldschool windows gaming. 👍

I tried other startup modes, like PC-mode (Intel) FFMPEG, but no change. Don't see much change in those 7 startup modes. Not sure what the difference is in those 7 startup modes?
I would like , if you have time, to make a video , how to install the perfect os on m.2 opi 5 plus in order to watch and stream 4k 60fps smooth with no drop frames. i have bought everything for that sbc and i cant find the right os to use it. Very cheap android tv boxes can play perfect. I dont have emmc but microsd and samsung m.2 mvme. Thank you.
@@leepspvideo they advertise a sbc that it can play 8k 60fps and i havent seen 4k 60fps smoothly yet. We pay a lot of money for hardware ssd case and more and we cant watch something that android tv boxes can do it with 50 euros...

Could this Distro of Android be installed on a Chromebook?
Chromebooks aren’t that simple to install a different os. Look for a tutorial on your specific model.

I use a 4K Apple TV. The Orange Pi or other sbc’s don’t get full access to all the legitimate streaming services in 4K.
