- Today we look at the Career of Kimi Raikkonen, A driver that made is F1 debut in 2001 racing for sauber. He would then make a quick step up to a top team in McLaren which would give him 9 victories in his time of being with the team from 2003-2006 and also being runner up twice in the championship in 2003 and 2005. He would move to Ferrari in 2007 and go onto to win his first and only world championship making him the last Ferrari world champion to this day. He would take a break from F1 after 2009 and would eventually return in 2012 with Lotus winning twice with team before moving back to Ferrari in 2014. He would stay with Ferrari until 2018 where he would take his final grand prix victory at Cota before moving back to Sauber/Alfa Romeo in 2019 to then finish his career in 2021 at the team he started at. Fun little fact about that Abu Dhabi win:
Raikkonen’s win marks the only time an Abu Dhabi winner was NOT won from the front row in the entire history of the circuit.
And another thing: if we’re counting Brawn GP as Mercedes, Raikkonen remains one of two non Red Bull or Mercedes constructors to have won in Abu Dhabi, the other being Hamilton in McLaren.
He really knew what he was doing.
He is even if you don't count Brawn as Mercedes since Vettel in the Red Bull won it that year

Prime Kimi of the 2000s was an absolute monster of a driver, whether he was hounding Schumi's tail and behind 2 points in 2003, his legendary run from P17 to P1 in Japan 2005, or his championship victory in 2007.
Interestingly, his final victory at COTA 2018 would make him the only driver to win in a car powered by V10, V8, and V6. Alonso still has a chance of becoming the 2nd only driver to do so, and hopefully the 2026 season will bring him that historic milestone.

And his 2nd win was in the 19B because the mp4 19 was also a shitbox for 04
