- Today we look at the Career of Fernando Alonso, A driver that made his debut in Formula 1 over 22 years ago now and would race for Minardi before very quickly making the climb to race in a top team, Which happened in 2003 as the young Spaniard at the time would sign for Renault and went on to win two world championships with them in 05 & 06. Since his last world championship, Fernando's career has had many ups and many downs and a lot of questionable team moves as well which you will see in this video as we look at Fernando's carer evolution in F1 from 2001 all the way to today in 2023. I like how he made the F14T both understeer and oversteer like crazy in the recording footage, just like the real thing.
I greatly admire Fernando's longevity. F1 was completely different in 2001 compared to 2023. Even Murray Walker was still commentating! In the mid-2000's, he looked to be the next big thing in F1 after his back-to-back titles with Renault, but it didn't last long, yet he kept on winning races up until 2013. Even after a disillusioning time at McLaren, he still had the balls to come back and even started getting podiums again by the age of 41! Fernando Alonso is the god of Formula 1 driver longevity.
To my knowledge, he's also one of only three drivers to have raced against BOTH Verstappens; the others being Jenson Button and Kimi Räikkönen.
People Talk about 2012 but how the hell did he manage to get 5th Position in a Race with the 2015 McLaren???
Goofy ahh race where worst red bull since 2006 earned a double podium and verstappen finished 4th

There are much better mods for the 2007-2009 cars, 2007 mclaren by vrc, and the 2009 cars by simdream (updated).
