      Jump rope and you'll see improvements. Agility ladders help as well. You can also use cones. Do the box drill as well.

      move smoothly, dont put explosiveness into your movement, like your gliding, or your a balloons bouncing on the ground. You will be a tad bit slower but you will be able too keep it up the whole round wich is more important then being a little faster.

    Consistency is the key, if you don’t use it, you lose it. Footwork is very difficult to work on and master is something even the pros never do but if I could recommend anything to anyone new to the sport, repetition is key with punches but footwork and fundamentals is the difference in boxing.

  • @ReformedCriminalD
    @ReformedCriminalD Год назад +4

    beautiful
    these are the drills I used to do for rhythm and distance
    I recommend studying Evander Holyfield , he is the master
    this drill also helps build the internal clock
    only thing I'm not seeing is stance switching

    • @keysessoms
      @keysessoms  Год назад +2

      I have one of my fighters doing a two week film study of Evander Holyfield.

    • @ReformedCriminalD
      @ReformedCriminalD Год назад

      @@keysessoms Good , I also recommend studying Bernard Hopkins because he is amazing at strategy
      He can puppet his opponent and draw in the punch he wants him to throw and counters really well
      my 3 favorite boxers are Holyfield , Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr
      Tyson is overrated and Holyfield is a better

      You use your less dominant hand to throw jabs and your dominant hand for heavier if that makes sense. Ur non dominant hand should set up your dominant hands attack. If that makes sense

    • @600micsofacid

      get light on your feet by drilling footwork, jumping rope, jogging and building up flexibility and elasticity in your ankles and bounce in your step (it takes time and ALOT of repetition).
