After 2 years of interest in wheels, here is FINALLY a wheel that really makes me want to get started as a beginner!!! THANK YOU BEGODE THANK YOU!!!
I wouldn't recommend you to buy a 'beginner' wheel. Just after a few weeks you'll reach it's potentiall and ask for something bigger. I'd recommend a wheel which fulfills all your wishes when it comes to range, topspeed, size and weight.
I know a guy who started with a Inmotion V13. Absolutely not a beginner friendly wheel, but you'll grow into it for sure.
@@floatypiet You must not read that well, I've been interested in wheels for 2 years. So I know very well what I expect from a wheel and the Falcon is exactly what I need, I don't need something more powerful or bigger. And regarding V13 you have to be very stupid to start with this giant and absurd thing. I confirm the Falcon will be perfect for me! I have a busy life. I'm not one of the rednecks who get together on Sunday morning to go wheeling with their redneck friends while their fat wives stay at home in front of the TV looking after the children. I just need a sturdy and fun little wheel to go to my job not far away and have fun on small dirt roads with the comfort of a small suspension and the compactness of the wheel which will also allow me to ride easy to take in the trunk.

Getting mine this week! I'm pumped to see what it can do 😊
Hope you enjoy it!
Whoa I am digging your workshop. Especially the ceiling lights.
Thanks !
It’s a work in progress
finally, a worthy replacement for my old S18.
Hell yeah
It's available?
Oh yes, you are absolutely right! It's better to have a small, sturdy and comfortable wheel, even if it means recharging it a little more often, rather than an old plastic wheel with a slightly longer battery life and a squeaky suspension ^^
nice small Begode wheel, impress by the quality, thanks!
Glad you like it!
Welcome back missed you two! Waiting on my falcon to arrive! Thanks!
Thanks! Long time no see
I just took this thing up some technical trails that were a little too tricky on my Lynx. This thing just rips right up it and you can jerk it around and manipulate it so much easier it has totally exceeded my expectations. It is a lot of fun!
Nice to see a well designed and built wheel 👍 Great teardown and sharing of insights. Thank you !🙏
Glad you enjoyed it!
You have been missed! Nice teardown, I really enjoyed the camera work in this one.
Thanks ! Christine does all the camera work
To be honest, the only “smart bms” wheel I owned was the only one that ever gave me problems, so I’m perfectly fine with this setup.
:) we all know which wheel you’re talking about haha
Not me ? What wheel 😊
Kingsong s22 or s19 ?
@@marcpit2806 Kingsong is shit stop talking to us about King song and Inmotion thanks in advance
Looks like the falcon is easy to work on. A 50 pound suspension wheel is pretty cool. It will be my next purchase. Great teardown. Looking forward to your tire change.
I love this wheel. Perfect micro mobility
Glad you're both back.
Thanks !
Glad to see you are back, you have been missed! 😀
The Falcon looks pretty decent. Only minus that I can see is the thin axle, since people will most likely do jumps on it. What kinda amps can you charge it with?
With the suspension that will dampen out the peak force over time, it’ll have less issues than A2 and Mten4
My guess is 5-10amps max. Ships with 5a charger
I watched the Begode Falcon live teardown from the Begode crew, and they mentioned 8 amps was the max charge rate. Looking forward to trying this little beast out!
Nice! Great to see a video from you guys and I couldn't have dreamed up a better topic. I put a preorder in for a Falcon quite awhile ago and am impatiently waiting on its arrival;). This was an excellent teardown video and it was really helpful to see everything so up close and clear. Thanks and I'll look forward to hearing your guys' thoughts after riding it for a bit.
That's awesome to hear. We might do a more casual thoughts and impressions, but won't go into full blown review territory.
Great videos. Have you created a Falcon tire change video?
Consider this your first request to create one. Thank you!
I've gotten a couple requests, but currently too busy with other duties atm.
OMG, 6:15 and the batteries are still connected! He's lucky he didn't get hurt. Next time, as soon as the top's off disconnect the batteries and power-on-to-drain before further teardown. PS: Thanks for the vid. :D
Great point!
Great teardown review👍.
No BMS, bummer.
Cheers
Thanks. Yeah, SmartBMS is quite useful sometimes.
Oh by the way, great video and glad you made it back happy and healthy.
Thanks!
Thanks for the excellent teardown! I agree it's cute... if it had smart BMS, hollow bore motor and was 50 lbs or less, it would be irresistible.
yeah, sure it'd be great to have all these, but there are engineering tradeoffs that need to be made.
50lbs Falcon is achievable with aftermarket parts
@@aaron6091 You know it, it looks like you can make it, we're waiting for you
Hopefully they will ship it to Europe with some lighter pads so that it is per technical documentation officially below the regulatory 25 kg.
Interesting, for PEV's in Europe, it has to be under 25kg?
I wonder if the buzzer/beeper under the wheel facing down would be much quieter if it was insider the top cover facing up towards the rider. Protected and waterproofed. It would be nice if they could put the headlight inside like the rear light but I guess it would be putting out a bit of heat you might not want near the control board. Great teardown. Still it is bit pricey where I live (~A$3000/US$2000) so may wait to see the reviews and hope for a price drop.
Yes it would be. Headlight inside the cover wouldn’t work so well
Thank you for the teardown. I love that scale BTW
It’s just a cheap Amazon one
Looks like a mini T4, just a bit reconfigured. I like it.
Yeah, 20lbs lighter than T4 and way more compact package
@@2cells1pack1/2 the battery, it would be cool to see a range test on this wheel at like 20 mph flat ground versus a T4 on same course.
@@mikeintampa250 I think around 25 miles for a person around 70Kg
Suspension adjusting should be already inckused in the bms the same way the tilt angle is incorporated. That way u just control.everhthing from the app. Or menu screen . No need to take the control board off
Electronically controlled suspension…. We are years away from this
@@2cells1pack nope.... just too damn lazy & wanting to keep recycling old tech to get every penny. They need to innovate always if not GTFO
no smart bms is crazy in 2024
It's a waste of money, who needs it when you can just balance the cells
For smaller battery wheels, I’m okay with it
A Smart BMS is absolutely not necessary for a small wheel so many people don't care royally if you're not happy you can continue on your way and buy tanks from leaperkim or plastic from KS and Inmotion
@@user-lk2kk8ve6y what’s bad about being built like a tank but lighter? 😆
@kyriakosgalanos8020 if leaperkim made this wheel, it'd be 35kg lol
Since the boards are conformally coated, you wonder where the heat goes. Yeah, there's the huge heat sink on the bottom of the controller, but the whole device is also sealed for waterproofing. So no convection cooling.
I don’t think convection cooling is needed. Conduction cooling is more than adequate
Awesome teardown,
I like it how suspension travel is in metric mm and weight is in pounds.
Cool to see how this wheel is made.
Haha good point
Currently having a KS-14D, A2 and V11. I feel this Falcon is a slight improved A2 but overall, I would not pay this price for a small wheel, small battery. 14D is for short trips (grocery store), going easily in the car’s trunk. V11 is for longer/faster trips/commutes (but as much as enjoy it, I feel I will need a wheel with a bigger battery just to reach 75-80km of range). A2 weight (20kg) is annoying to move around and range is limited (27-30km). The extra 150Wh on the Falcon will add more or less 5-8km but the weight is still high. The A2 is stuck between these 2 purposes (battery is too small for trips, wheel is too heavy to move around) so Falcon will be in the same dilemma. That’s why I would not recommend this wheel unless the person has specific needs (but I can confirm that, once you have tasted bigger wheels, you won’t sadly consider smaller wheels) or if the price is really low ($1400CA or less).
I disagree. 14D is way less comfortable than Falcon.
Having a 50lb wheel is quite portable and small, plus has way more safety and power than any older small wheel
@@2cells1pack for sure, Falcon should be more comfortable than 14D/A2 (thanks to the suspension) but... what would you do different with the Falcon VS 14D/A2? It's for the same kind of usage (last mile/short commute) so lighter is better.
Yeah, but I'm getting older so I prioritize comfort.
@@2cells1pack I understand that (that's why I ditched the A2 for a V11). My knees were so suffering with the A2 😖!
Your V11 is an old, outdated plastic wheel that doesn't go more than 50km/h either, so stop trying to sell it to us ;-) we don't want your plastic trash cans. Thanks anyway.
Looks better than I imagined it would but those forks looked toy like compared to the commander mini. BTW did you ever weigh those? Glad to see Begode putting the rear light inside. Remember the commander rear light? A hole for the wire (and water ingress) and flimsy vulnerable mount.
the forks look super good quality IRL. they weight 2.5lbs for both.
The design of this wheel is really nicely put together.
Great video! Love the studio ❤
Thanks so much!
I hope the Bluetooth chips are get little better. They seem to take a min and the distance isn’t very far. Usually just important when charging at a charge stop n you want to check on your wheel.
I wonder how fast you will be able to fast charge these?
They seem to be better. Comes with a 5A charger in the box. Max is 8A I believe
Heya! So i decided to do some suspension checking today and noticed the cable on my front right battery is so tight that its tugging itself out. Do you know if the packs are interchangeable? I know the cable exit point is different on each pack, but the front right and back left both look identical, and it just so happens that my back left battery has a longer cable leading out, and it would be perfect to swap those two. Any idea if that'll ok ?
Wouldn't you unplug the batteries and attempt a powerup before you start removing electrical components?
Vous êtes super tous les deux. Bravo !
Thanks !
Thank you for the video. I would like to know what kind of inclines it can tackle with you're respective weights. I live in a hilly area (30-35 degree hills) and weight 65kg with gear, thanks for reading.
It’s pretty torquey. There’s another channel on RUclips that has tested it on different inclines and trails. @FunTech4Real
wow cool nice one been waiting for this one
looks amzing well built cant wait to get one
green one is what we all want lol
and a pink for the girls lol
Hahaha green and pink?
@@2cells1pack haha yer man now we talking haha 😂 yer let’s all ask for a green rim and handle and a pink version like your wife says she don’t like the colour and think it’s time for a euc to go wild on custom colours even with a extra price point if it’s going to be a pain I’d love it to be same green as the t4 pro but that the price point might as well get a t4 pro lol
Nice video! Quite suriprised to see the eWheels branding on the video... Wonder what happened with evees?
They're sponsoring our videos so that we can spend more time making videos.
whoa 2 cells tier down of this baby ....its like christmas
Haha thanks !
I would buy it if it had smart bms. To bad begode cheaped out on a dealbreaker for many of us potential buyers. Hoping leaperkim picks up the ball and makes an falcon type of wheel.
It still has a passive BMS, that has 90% of the safety and alarms built in. Just doesn’t have cell by cell reporting to a mobile app. Passive BMS still has cell by cell monitoring to know if there are issues
@@2cells1pack It's 2024, let me monitor my cells in my phone for extra peace of mind. It's not that more expensive and I would gladly pay extra for it.
Leaperkim's falcon wheel will be 35kg and 1.5x the price
@@aaron6091 I have no problem paying more for a superior product. It for sure wont be 35kg if the battery capacity is the same as Falcon. But I'm hoping they do about half the capacity of the lynx, around 1200-1500wh 50s would be perfect.
Hell yeah that would be awesome
Water bucket test please!
Ahaha, maybe….
Hello! Maybe someone knows which company produces the shock absorbers that are on the Falcon. Maybe there are analogues? I need to know if the shock absorber breaks, where I can buy it and how much it will cost.
It's designed in house and manufactured by a 3rd party AFAIK
❤
This simple design looks interesting to me. Not good that there is no smart BMS. I would like to have option to have smart BMS.
The battery pack is only 24s2p, 12s1p per pack, so if there was one cell that was off it wouldn’t be hard to find out.
Also, normal BMS still has all the safety features - just no visibility on per cell voltages. The BMS does monitor each cell for over and under voltage still
@@2cells1pack I still would prefer to have smart bms, to see per cell voltage. I would pay for it additionally.
same here. Its better than a damn smart phone that dumbs you down...@@user-hc9dw9gb5w

Haha, backfired on us LOL

Much appreciated!
I’m curious how the last parts come off and if the wheel has n axel or is it hollow core? It kinda looks like a huge axel in there?
Solid axle.
the wheel used for like 2 year will be done i hope they sell replcement wheel for it if the old wheel not good anymore
Huh?
YOOOO I really want to get one and check out how it rips around a pit bike track
If it will perform as good as a 16X, I will consider getting two, one for track one for city 😂
Haha track? I do want to see some falcon races. I think it would be super cool
@@2cells1packHere in CZ we have annual xErace events held, and this year we will have two races in indoor pit bike tracks, which are quite small
I think a Falcon will be very good on those small circuits
ip67 means it should withstand water for 30 minutes submerged 1 meter under water. So please don't submerge it for an hour. And don't high pressure wash it. If you want to test it, test if it does what they say it does, not more than they say it can handle.
Haha yeah, don’t worry we are far from the goal
Whats the weight limit for the Falcon?
Do u have to remove the pedals to to get to the adjustments for suspension ?
Nope, just the top control board cover.
thank you Albert and Christine, good honest infos and goo thought..... you quit eevees?
Yes
Hi, I would like to have your opinion on the absence of BMS and a hollow motor on this new wheel. Is this problematic in the long term?
The Battery still has Passive BMS. Over and under voltage as well as temperature monitoring. Just doesn’t have visible voltage per cell
@@2cells1pack Agreed and regarding the absence of a hollow motor??
It adds width for packing factor
@@2cells1pack Sorry maybe I'm not good enough in English but I don't understand what you mean? What is "packing factor"?
This wheel is everything I want as a first wheel but the lack of a smart bms is a such a killer!
Lack of smart BMS on a small wheel isn’t a huge deal. Each pack is 12s1p and the passive BMS keeps track of each cell in series. Has alarms for over voltage and under voltage and has balancing. Smart BMS is really good only for seeing individual cells voltage in the app and for larger batteries
Im sorry if i missed it but what watt is the motor? Not peak, Nominal? Thank you so much
I believe the motor is 1500w Nominal, 5000w Peak
Thank you kindly
This wheel is already making people jealous, you can read it in the comments ^^ The number of frustrated people trying to convince themselves that it's not good makes me laugh so much. This wheel is great, nothing to say!
Haha yeah…
🔥
You got my “like,” but please don’t put it in the lake. I’m a bit nervous. I ordered one of the first batch Wheels would you say it’s generally true if the Begode has been upping their game and it is not as big of a risk order or first batch of the falcon? With your expertise, your opinion is of course important to me, but I know we can’t project the future!
It’s hard to say, but generally there will be small improvements between earlier batches as deficiencies are realized.
Whether these deficiencies are large or small in nature is really the question.
BEGODE is great but it is known that you should never buy the first batch or even sometimes the 2nd, batch 3 is always good and batch 4 is perfect but unfortunately often quickly outdated. Personally I'm going to wait for batch 2 or 3, I'm still hesitant. ^^
Is this a hollow motor or with an axle like the A2? If like A2, then is there a perpendicular through hole in the axle for the wire, which is not at all necessary, but only weakens the axle?
Yes, the axle looks identical to the A2. It does weaken the axle, but the A2 hasn't had many broken axles? It's not like people are taking the A2 off 2 ft drops :P
@@2cells1pack I would say that very few 260lb riders ride the A2 very carefully for fear of breaking an axle.
Do you guys already tested therange of it? I'm really looking for a smaller wheel for my gf for 50kg/110pounds weight. Any experience on how far it can go on a regular usage? 👀
We haven’t tested the range. We have a lot of rain recently
please make a lynx and etmax teardown
I can maybe do a Lynx teardown.. but it seems that wheel is already in people's hands and robustly tested already?

can you change the tire with a lighter one?
Yes, you can potentially go down from 3.5 inch to 3 inch or even 2.75 inch tire.
@@aaron6091 I'm trying to get the falcon to be as light as possible since I live on the 3rd story. Hopefully there will be some aftermarket replacement parts that are lighter. Ideally 45lbs would be great. Maybe some carbon fiber pedals and handle. And some lighter pads.
If you remove the pads and trolley, you’ll save 5lbs. Add some lightweight plastic pedals and save another lb or two.
