I can't help but notice that Ratchet's voice acting throughout many series remains pretty consistently in character. Jeffrey Combs will always be on top of the list, but other Ratchet voice actors deserved to be credited too.

I don't know what you mean; some Ratchet's (particularly G1) have a nasalness of sorts that other versions don't have, namely Jeffrey Combs.
So basically:
Tfa-Cranky old man that is tired
Tfp-Cranky old man that is tired
Wfc-Cranky man that is tired
Corey Burtons peformance is actually feels more in character than Jeffery Combs performance. Because he feels more cranky and done with everything. Meanwhile Jeffery Combs performance sounds more younger version of him.
This and Prime and animated version of Rachet really shows how this character seen stuff. No wonder he always argue towards Optimus actions
No, ratchet thinks he's a failure in the clip and Optimus respects him for that. Ratchet doesn't want to help but he has no choice and optimus can't force him.
I like the subtle idea of the deceptions considered lower than the autobots before the war. It really fleshes out the reason behind the war in the first place. The decepticons were tired of being ruled over yet they try to do the exact same to the autobots.
I like did idea as well especially when both Megatron and Optimus were both working together for the same goal before Megatron beliefs became twisted thus the tell of the hero who lived long enough to see himself become the villain .

@@casualknight8962 That is basically the lore. Cybertrons society before the war had turned into basically a cast system. You were born into a role and had to stay in it, you were basically only allowed to "be" what your body was designed for. Obviously this resulted in a strict cast system with certain cybertronions having far more power the others.
Megatron started his revlution basically on the idea of freedom from this system and to create a new cybertron without casts. When his peaceful attempts to change failed and Optimus was made Prime intstead of him he turned to open warfare. The Autobots are generally speaking eather former members of the higher cast of society (therefore "elitists") or more peaceful natured bots. The Decepticons are generally made up of the lower cast members and a few opportunistic Elites (Starscream) or people from the fringe of society (Shockwave, a banished mad scientist).
It also explains why over time the Decepticons most of the time eather win the war and the autobots flee or they get an advantage in the ongoing war. Do to the class system there are obviously more low class bots then elitist bots so the Decepticon cause has usually more followers (and Starscream/the Seekers joining them entirely gave them a huge advantage because they were basically Cybertrons entire pre war airforce). The Autobots on the other hand have the stronger bots in general (obviously speaking overall, the Decepticons have the stronger individuals by far with shockwave, Soundwave and Megatron compared to basically only Optimus)
At least that is the Aligned continuity and is generally speaking then "normal" route to my knowledge.
I loooooveee the physicality of their robot modes. The clanking and gear noises with all their movements, plus the grazed metal that shimmers at some angles just makes them really feel like big metal robots, probably more than even the bay movies imo.
Ratchet sounds really good and he makes me sad because he has to help Everyone on Cybertron without volunteering in the war.
i hope Ratchet makes it to earthrise

It was Ratchets condition that a bot or a con he helps must help someone else. I think this system will continue without him.
Red Alert is still on cybertron and hes another Autobot medic, I imagine he could take over.

Its sad to see a show when Ratchet and Optimus arent best pals, I like this idea with Ratchet in this show, one of the best part of this season.
Ratchet was and is the best tool and repair bot on cybertron.

I like it when Ratchets plays an important role to the story. Its very intersting to watch.
I appreciate the darker theme they're going for, but I feel like the voice director bummed everyone out too hard before recording. Just because things are grim doesn't mean your emotions can't spark a little brighter.
Their voice director was pretty strick .Pushed everyone to their breaking points and one actor Lindsay Rosseau or Elita One said she came out of studio several times crying .

Gad dang ratch, I think my fav line was when he said “is it, that cybertron is gone, because of you” now I love decepticons but this just made me love them more
Ratchet is the best character, his voice is amazing but in my opinion Jeffery Combs will always be superior.
I'm glad they gave Mirage some screen time in the series. He's one of my faves

They make a big deal about Soundblaster being a clone but everyone looks like someone else lmao
The original toys had plenty of reskins. This show is trying to emulate the original show using the toys as direct models and direct inspiration for the character designs, so the reskins are practically canon
Not sure why Rachet somehow is always one of the best (if not THE best) characters in EVERY series, but I'm not complaining. He's my favorite autobot!
It sucks that this series was only 6 episodes because I want more it was so good.

In realistic war movies? Yes. Transformers, you can make it serious, but I’d appreciate if they lightened up the mood a little.

I like how this series really touch on all the effects and pre war stuff.

This show a Ratchet that wasn't a Autobot but,like Bumblebee,was a neutral that wants Help others but in The end Both he and Bumblebee Join Optimus and the other Autobots on The Ark,escaping from Cybetron.

Okay I know for a fact that ratchet was never the type of person always giving up so quickly repairing instead of harming during the movies he was always Autobots attack always repairing Autobot even repairing prime and now he wants to give up it's only a matter of time before the decepticons find him

jesus christ how obnoxios Prime is every time he spokes like a pre recorded action figure
Ratchet blaming Optimus is pathetic, he directed his anger towards the one person that wouldn’t fight him on it like a coward.
This one is different from prime,animated, and even the G1 tv shows it’s all different it’s all what Michael bay couldn’t of done in his movies
Ratchet was my favorite character in this show the only thing I did not like about him was how he randomly decided to go on the ark at the end your telling me he just warmed up to the autobots that fast and forgot all about his patients
For those who would like to argue on Ratchet's favor I once had to study the basics of medical ethic and in this scenario it would be fair for ratchet to not want to participate in activities for any party BUT being the first one to pull out a gun when questioned without provocation is hypocritical of him... I know they are not robots and they have personalities plus no one is perfect but since he is actually willing to be neutral in a war when clearly one of the sides (decepticons) was the first one to start the violence and is promoting and praising the total extinction of the opposite side (autobots) regardless of their position (being neutral, offensive or complaying) it is unlikely that being neutral could be considered more ethical at all than supporting the autobots team which that while using violence as well (wether if it's forcefully or voluntary) is looking forward to stop the war and reduce the killing spree through their actions. Also given that ratchet is willing to cure patients that could become potential killers is also questionable (this reminds me of that one doctor house episode) I guess it all comes to the dilema of inmediate consequences and eventual consequences of our actions, it depends on how you measure the start, the development and the outcome of things
Why does everyone blame Prime for the war? What was he supposed to do? Just roll over and let Megatron take over?
If you play the clip at 1.25x speed it almost sounds like everyone is speaking at a normal rate

I could nic pic all the little things I don't like about this show. Overall..... It is the Best Transformers since G-1 in the 80's. I was sure I was going to be disappointed. But they kind of nailed it! Am expecting it to get better! They even brought back my favorite villains in the Transformers Universe. The Evil Quintessons!

I could watch this cause it looks so g1 with modern cgi type animation.Ive barely seen much of the shows that came out since 1987 because they felt so childish except maybe beast wars but I never got into that either,maybe watched 2 shows.I love the dark gloomy adult oriented feel to it there should definetaly be more than 6 episodes its the best transformers in over 33 years.
Animated and Prime were good too, much better than this.

Ratchet says he wants to be mother teresa and not take part in anything that can kill more people in both sides even though he knows megatron won't stop and the others have the right not only to defend themselves but to actively try to stop megatron and whoever allies with him, they didn't have a choice in this they just have to do it or die, but these autobots who come in peace and ask help to defend themselves and stop the real threat are somehow deserving of ratchet pulling out a gun on them? Was he gonna shoot them? Or scare them with violence? No better than optimus and megatron, the writting is bad because they didn't even know how to create a neutral character they just scrambled a bunch of nonsense and bigotry like everything in w0ke netflix and I'm supposed to believe ratchet is right in something? No he's not, his arguments looks like written by a 12 year old who just read lord of the flies and his attitide is hypocritical and selfish (not to mention self-indulgent and intolerant towards other) his actions are ultimately useless. Nothing about what happened in this series makes me care, they failed at that that's why is so bad.
@@LuxCirilo you're not wrong, neither ratchet(scriptwriter). At the end, war is war. He's done with Optimus' naive mind and Megatron's interests. He's working on his own interests, his own way. Saves lives and stop the madness by stop taking side and work together. If Autobots are good at reasoning, then reason with their enemy! not with a guy who two steps further to peace than them.

I like the tone of the whole show, but the voice acting and script just sound...off at times. Also, this is more of a nitpick than anything, but they look too much like toys imo and they sound like tin cans, which bothers me a little bit but not that much. But overall, it seems like a fairly good show, that also respects the source material. I might check it out eventually
Why is there no Peter Colleen?
I think they wanted him to sound younger in this show so they went with another guy (I’d still prefer Peter Cullen anyway tho)

Meh.... I get the edginess they're going for and the tension 'tween him and Prime. But this is not *my* Ratchet. He was awesome in the original G1 comics.

I have this series as meh, it's alright in some cases but it really does kinda have to improve some aspects, really wish the voice acting was better, and the flow of scenes improve as well especially with the plot

I don't like this series btw, not that I hate it or think is careless it's just blatantly done for me considering how transformers have gotten better series before this ones... so the bar of expectations has been settled I say
Other people are calling the atmosphere here dark and realistic but to me it just feels edgy and forced. The voice acting is mediocre and the lack of lightheartedness in general throughout the serious just bums me out.
I would say you’re wrong, but you’re actually right. Back in the old WFC games, the bots would sometimes banter with each other and it was nice to see between them.
@@aqworldszero109 Talking to the Autobots around the base was one of my favorite parts of FOC. The Decepticon bases also had funny lines. Like the dude who had to ride on top of the tow cable instead of riding inside normally
