Glencoe Visitor Centre, Spean Bridge, Commando Memorial. Autumn Scotland Adventures Part One

- This is the 1st video from our amazing Autumn road trip to Scotland.
Join us as we travel from East Yorkshire to the Scottish Highlands, driving along the stunning A82 through Glencoe . We stop off at NTS Glencoe Visitor Centre and see the turf house.
We continue our journey crossing the Ballachulish Bridge towards Fort William spotting Ben Nevis
We arrive at our accommodation for the night and walk up to the beautiful and moving Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge and then have a walk to Highbridge with the Nevis Range in the background.

I've not been up there in years. We stayed in a caravan not far from Spean Bridge. Happy memories, and I'd love to go back. You are right, Glencoe is stunning whatever the weather.

Green welly stop is a well known stop! I remember walking the west highland way and it was a busy place to stock up on food and essentials. Love that drive through glencoe whatever the weather it’s always a nice one. This was a nice trip, brought back a few memories for me as I have tick off a few of those spots before. 😊

Hi guys love your start to the Autumn road trip. Love seeing a 🌈. Some lovely brooding views along the way we love the mountains with low cloud. Atmospheric is spot on we love the turf hut 🛖 fantastic. Would love to spend a day painting on a day like that. Boo did look a bit miffed to miss out on a coffee stop 😄. The detour did give some lovely views. Ben Nevis is wonderful bet it was after 400 miles! The river was lovely . Scotland is such a spectacular place. Your rooms looked good grest to crash out after a full day. We look forward to following your adventures. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️

It really was a great start to our roadtrip, even the rain couldn't spoil it.
We were impressed with the Turf house. I bet it is a perfect spot to sit and paint there.
Yes we did get some lovely views on the detour but it definitely took longer.
Poor Boo she was trying to drag us into the cafe 🤣 but we'd stopped for a coffee around Lockerbie on our way up so we wasn't ready for another.
Our room was fabulous at the hotel, pity it was only for one night as so many walks to do round there.

Driving across Rannoch Moor and through Glencoe always feels like an adventure. We have taken in the view from the Commando Memorial on many times, often on days like you enjoyed. Nice looking room in a very convenient location.
It's amazing driving across Rannoch Moor and through Glencoe it's stunning in any weather 🏴❤️
The Old Pines Hotel is in a perfect location, we had a fabulous stay.

I've stopped at the Green Welly last year for burgers after hiking the Cruachan horseshoe. They didn't have any. The mountain name in the clouds was Stob Dearg on the Buachaille Etive Mor. I will show off and tell you I've been to the top. Awesome views from the top. Love Glencoe and I've hiked the mountains there in the rain but only cos it started part way through my hikes. Cool thatched cottage. You did well at the Commando memorial with no one being there. Nice walk out and a bit of Jacobite history. Never visited Scotland in Autumn but do need to book a trip for this year. Love it in Scotland. Looking forward to part 2 👍Paul

The walk we did to The Highbridge was lovely and if light had allowed we could have walked so much further.

Just been, don’t stop at the Green Welly Shop stop instead at the Good Food Place opposite. Dog friendly can do Gluten Free fish and chips. Food is really good cheers John from County Durham

What a lovely video guys. I've done this trip on many occasions so it was like a trip down memory lane for me. On a personal note, I always make time for the Green Welly Stop. It's a great restbite and facilites break for me before heading up to the great glen! Loved the video 👍👍

This was great guys we love a road trip took us right back to when we did one upto lochness via fort William to climb Ben Nevis! Love boo has a tartan ribbon. Commando memorial is impressive and great info even with your wind 😂 enjoyed this guys have a great week ❤️

We’ve done exactly the same with the commando memorial (will definitely have to stop off nxt time and take a look ) the Ben coved in clouds (normal )🏔️🏴

A great vlog. We done the walk round Spean Bridge it was a great walk glad you went down to the bridge. We've not been to the museum but definitely will now after seeing the little house there. Thanks for sharing 👍

So glad we walked down to the bridge. The whole area is stunning. Glencoe visitor centre is great for a little stop off too although Boo wasn't too happy we didn't go in the cafe 🤣🤣🤣 she could smell it 🙈

Another good vlog guys this is one of my favourite parts of Scotland this and a few isles like.
