10:48 on what basis did the approver approve the file ? there is no link to see the file. If I sed the form responses to 10 people for approval, all of them would like to see what exactly is being approved or rejected. there is no detail of that in the mail
Very helpful. How about when the forms have more than one question? For example, if I want approval for a new response (with more than one questions and uploaded file). I'll try to use Response ID
Thanks for the question! That process would be a little more involved. We do offer consulting services here for custom solutions if you are interested: www.myexcelonline.com/microsoft-excel-consulting-services/

Thanks for the tutorial. it was very insightful. however, what flow can you add that the document is opened and every information is correct before approval is given
Hi. Thanks for the comment. I think that would be a part of your internal process. Maybe don't let people approve a document unless they check the document first? I am not sure there is a way to see if a document has been checked unless you have certain things on the document that you specifically want to check. If you do have specifics, then you could create more steps in the flow to check for that first. We have consulting services if you would like further help. You may be able to use Teams to do approve a template. I don't think submitters see anything unless you'd like to set up a process using a flow in Power Automate that includes a form.
Thanks for the tutorial. Very helpful. I didn't see where the approver email shows the file to be approved. Was there a link in the email or does it just have the approval buttons?
Great question! It'd be too much for me to answer here, but please feel free to contact our consulting services to help! www.myexcelonline.com/microsoft-excel-consulting-services/
Hi, I am working on a project where I have to create a form to gather employee's IT device information. Than, the form answers should navigate to the program Manager for approval and the approvals should be save into an excel sheet which will be operated by IT manager. Please guide me.
Hi. Thanks for the question! it depends on how you set up the flow. If you are having trouble you could try to create a Microsoft Business account instead of a home one. Hope that helps!
I am working with forms and I want to get one person to approve when the user has filled a form. Typically thing is, once this has been submitted by a user then get a person to approve their request.
Yes, there should be. Just check the options in the approval step. Or you can add another step. Maybe an upload to One Drive if you can't attach it in the approval step?
I am trying something similar (and cannot succeed): We are conducting “ccb configuration change board” meetings where board members should reply or give their decisions to a some change in a product. I want to automate this by mail. I want to send a file (where I describe the change) to specific mail list and want to collect their approval and any requests or references they have. I want to collect these replies in one place or document.
A combination of Forms and Power Automate may help you. Also, we offer consulting services if you need help with a specific project. Check out www.myexcelonline.com/microsoft-excel-consulting-services/
You made this easy!
Oh, thanks! Glad we could help you out!

It totally depends on what your criteria is for approving. It could be user name, date range. It's very flexible.

Thanks for the tutorial. May i ask how can i automate the flow without clicking the "test"?
Great question! In the edit flow mode, click the three dots besides recurrence at the top. You should be able to edit the schedule there.
Thank you.
You're welcome!
I noticed MS TEAM Approval App run the similar but easier setup
Hi. Thanks for the comment. Yes, there is often more than one way to accomplish an objective. Glad that one works for you!
BTW: this is excellent.
Thank you!
Can you approve the form itself? Also, what will the submitter see when it is approved or not approved? Thanks

Hi That was excellent. I want to add a response to the form in my approval ,how do i do it ?Thanks !
Thanks for watching. It would be another step after the approval step in Power Automate.

Thanks for the question. It just has the approve button.
How can I create a form approval for dynamic approver list?

It might be better if you use a different platform for this given your requirements.
I am not getting the emails for approval. I checked and my name/email address is in the assigned to section of the workflow. What could it be?

Are you saying you would like a double approval? First for filing it out and then a second one?
Yes I would like to know how a second approver can be added to the flow
Maybe try using Power Apps instead.
Is there a way to add the uploaded document to the approval request so that the approver can review?
Yes, there should be. Just check the options in the approval step. Or you can add another step. Maybe an upload to One Drive if you can't attach it in the approval step?
