Approve a Document in Microsoft Forms

Watch this video to learn how to approve a document that has been submitted in Microsoft Forms. First, we will show you how to create a form in Microsoft Forms for a user to upload a file. Next, we will show you where that file is stored in OneDrive. Following that, we will show how to use Microsoft Power Automate to create a flow to send an email to a specific email address to approve or reject the document. Once the document is approved or rejected, we will then show how to automatically move the file to an approved or rejected folder in OneDrive. This video is great for anyone wanting to understand how to take a file that has been uploaded in a form in Microsoft Forms and approve that document.

Very helpful. How about when the forms have more than one question? For example, if I want approval for a new response (with more than one questions and uploaded file). I'll try to use Response ID

Hi. Thanks for the comment. I think that would be a part of your internal process. Maybe don't let people approve a document unless they check the document first? I am not sure there is a way to see if a document has been checked unless you have certain things on the document that you specifically want to check. If you do have specifics, then you could create more steps in the flow to check for that first. We have consulting services if you would like further help. Great question! In the edit flow mode, click the three dots besides recurrence at the top. You should be able to edit the schedule there.

Hi, I am working on a project where I have to create a form to gather employee's IT device information. Than, the form answers should navigate to the program Manager for approval and the approvals should be save into an excel sheet which will be operated by IT manager. Please guide me.

Yes, there should be. Just check the options in the approval step. Or you can add another step. Maybe an upload to One Drive if you can't attach it in the approval step?

Hi. Thanks for the question! it depends on how you set up the flow. If you are having trouble you could try to create a Microsoft Business account instead of a home one. Hope that helps!

I am working with forms and I want to get one person to approve when the user has filled a form.
Typically thing is, once this has been submitted by a user then get a person to approve their request.

I am trying something similar (and cannot succeed): We are conducting “ccb configuration change board” meetings where board members should reply or give their decisions to a some change in a product. I want to automate this by mail. I want to send a file (where I describe the change) to specific mail list and want to collect their approval and any requests or references they have. I want to collect these replies in one place or document.
