Burn DMG file in Windows to bootable macOS DVD disc

This video explains how you can extract, and burn InstallESD.DMG, the Mac OS X installer file for OX 10.7 Lion, OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, to a bootable DVD in Windows 7, 8 or Windows 10. However, the method is just the same if you have a custom High Sierra DMG file with you.
Why you may want to Burn DMG in WIndows.
1. To create an offline, bootable backup of Mac OS X installer, downloaded from the Apple app store, just by using Windows tools.
2. If you have a MacBook Pro, Air or iMac with only bootcamp working, and want to Install Mac OS X by burning InstallESD.DMG to a DVD.
3. To run Mac OS X in Windows using VitualBox or other tools.
Note: You would need a Dual layer DVD to write InstallESD.DMG as the expanded size of the DMG file is greater than what it can be handled by a normal 4.7GB disc.

I was not able to open/extract the dmg using 7zip but UltraISO worked for me. Thanks WinyTips for the vid!!! Finally something that works! =)

i did the step using dmg file but for some reason, holding down ALT doesn't bring the bootable drive

I downloaded OS X Lion ISO and dmg, did transmac on dbl layer DVD and USB. MacBook Pro still goes to white screen after spinning ball.

please help me dear! i can´t boot to install mac os 10.4 in my mac g4, just the HD is avaliable when i boot the machine and turn "c" key, the pen driver is also not avaliable, is there some trick to configure in OS system before? I know this video its kind of old, however, I have downloaded the files from Apple, the official ones, and when I open the files with 7Zip utility, am unable to find the INSTALLESD.DMG file, its just like hidden, is there an option to show that file?

will this make a dmg file bootable?I have 10.5.8 leopard dmg for my IbookG4 mid 2005 version that needs to be restored or reformatted whatever apple calls it. anyway all i have is a windows to burn the disc on. the mac was zeroed out on the "free space" by mistake and so it has to boot up in the DVD...anyway i hope my question makes sense. im trying to make a bootable disk using a windows that will run on Mac.

after burning the dmg to dvd transmac says operation successful or something like that but ican't open the dsik not with transmac not from my pc bootloader not from windows explorer what should i do PLS HEEEEEEEELP oh and btw every time i access the dvd from transmac it says 'no mac volume found'
