Mac crashed with all of my pro tools sessions on there and couldnt get past the boot screen. Was able to save all the files onto a hard drive from the recovery screen and they all saved as dmg files. couldnt figure it out worth shit until i found this video bro thanks you saved me lmao😭😭

Forgetting password is a big problem. Few years back, I tried many application to open a zip file I had forgotten the password for but it was no help

Hi, I want to install one of the Apple software programs (that is, the.dmg file) on my Windows machine. I have tried what you have told us, but I couldn't see any.exe files in the extracted folder that needs to install on windows machine. Could you please explain how to install the.dmg file on a Windows machine?
You need to install Mac OS with VMware on Windows first then you can install any Mac software on your Virtual MAC

Will this work on huge DMG files? I have salvaged files from a damaged disk and was saved to .dmg with a 117GB size.

is it possible to extract a dmg file with a password? i know the password but it keeps telling me 'Cannot open the file as [Dmg] archive'
I am not sure why you can't open it but it must open it in Windows.

Respected Sir! I have little query to ask i'll be grateful if you reply back. Sir I want to recover data from my old hard drive but when I placed in external case it showed nothing. Than I use "disk drill image" to recover data, now in E drive it shows more than 300GB data with ".dmg" extension file but when I open that file it again recommend me to open disk drill. I have windows 11 so this method will work??? there is other app "cool file viewer" will this work?? or "winRAR" works which is by default in laptop??? Will this work without any viruses and corrupted files and will data be recover in order?..... Please kindly answer. As i am web designer my all projects are present there. please guide. Why your recovered Windows data is in .dmg format. It might its disk drill own file extension maybe. Try opening it with 7zip or Winrar

Is 7 zip safe? Like i never listen about it and not sure if it contain any malicious virus in it, can any viewer confirm who used it?

Photoshop Symbols. You can extract any .dmg file like this. Sometimes it doesn't work but most of the times it does

If you are using Windows, then why recovery data is in .dmg format
I think 7zip can open it. Try to open it with 7zip and see if you can find your data there. Its always better to have at least one back up WD drive. I regularly run backups from past 10 years as I cannot afford losing my data
