One of my favourite songs of all time. I became a huge fan of Sublime listening to them at the shitty job I had at the time in late 2000 on WBCN when I first moved to the States. They were on the radio all the time I had no idea Bradley Nowell had died no one had told me. I remember telling my girlfriend at the time that I wanted to go to one of the local festivals to see them live. When she told me that he'd died years ago I can't even put into words how devastated I was. Sublimes music meant so much to me. At the time it was all new, to find out it had no future really broke my heart. I really hope that someday we can get back to this level of artistic talent again instead of all the faked reality show crap that occupies the public nowadays

This is one of my favourite songs, it takes me to that peaceful space of carefree sublime styles in long beach. I read some tabs, and watched your video, and every couple days I come back and watch this again and play until my fingers hurt. I had a band when I was younger and music has always been a huge part of my life, but getting to learn how to play What I Got this week has been incredible. I LOVE being able to play the solo parts, and I think I am getting better. I am going to keep practicing, thanks a lot Marty your video really helped.

Marty is amazing! One of the most relatable guitar teachers I've ever come across. He relates the songs in a logical manner that makes sense to anyone. I have played for almost 20 years and I'm hardly a master. All self tought. Marty makes every lesson easy to understand and I learn from his videos a constant clip for free. Please help this man out!! He has earned it!!!

I just want to say that out of all the people showing how to play guitar songs you are by far the best one. You know exactly what needs to be said, and deliver the right information to help learn whatever song your teaching as fast as possible. You dont go off on dumb shit that doesnt need to be said and you dont include any special extra's that people throw in because theyve known the damn rift and playcomfortably and can add some pull off or whatever and then explain what they r doing geez (when they dont even need to be doing all that!)what a waste of time. U r amazing brotha keep doing what u do man! Please do one of poolshark! Please and MORE COLLIE BUDDZ HELP SPREAD THAY GOOD VIBES MUSIC THANKS AGAIN BROTHA MUCH APRECIATE EVERYTHING YOU DO!

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE YOUR VIDS AMD YOU’RE REALLY GREAT AT TEACHING, AS WELL AS EXTREMELY HELPFUL TO ME AND LOTS OF OTHER PEOPLE. I’m just curious why the “official” tablature is different. I’m obviously not a guitar expert. So maybe there’s reasons for the differences, but I don’t know them. THANK YOU MARTY, YOUR MY ONLY GUITAR TEACHER and you’re great!

When he says "sign up for my newsletter and get some free HD courses" he seriously is not lying. It's not just a few free lessons that aren't available on YT - it's entire COURSES made available for free. I hate to sound like a bit of a used car salesman here, but seriously it's the shit I highly recommend signing up for that newsletter. It's almost like he made one of those MasterClass things, and then just said fuck it and made it free.
