- The movie Casino depicts the Chicago Outfit/Mobs takeover of Las Vegas. The Anna Scott character is based on Tamara Rand. In real life, she did loan money to Allen Glick. When this went before a judge, as they say in the movie, the bosses decided to settle it out of court.

Just found this series, what a great info source about the goings on behind the news!
Thanks for these, really very good viewing.
You’re welcome! I’m glad you are enjoying them.
That was the real mobster Frank cullota handing over the phone..
I noticed that too👍
Crazy he really got the ability to act out his true murder scene too 👀
You mean a CIA agent
Looted our casinos lol
@03:24
ouch.. it sounds like the real life hit was a bit more brutal than shown in the film. It’s impressive they got the .22 part right.
The real killer is doing life in prison with no parole.
"Looting our casinos" that's cute
The mob was "squeezing" the casino owners. The money that was "skimmed" went to the Midwest mob chieftains.
In the movie and real life, it seems like killing her only sped up what they tried to prevent.
The court order to open the books was already signed, and they still dug into the finances.
If anything, her being found with a head full of bullets probably brought more scrutiny to everyone trying to stay anonymous.
I've followed you for awhile, and now I watch as you get better and better! Thanks for the upload!
Thanks for the support!
Philip Greene was the character of Allen Glick. Glick was a San Diego real estate developer who got a $60 million loan from the Teamsters Union pension fund to get the Stardust casino & resort and a couple of other resorts in Las Vegas.
Love your channel& the footage is great!👍
Thank you!
I love this movie/real life comparison.
Glad you enjoyed!
@@bettertimeschi keep these videos coming !
I was the 300th like. What do I win? Anyway, what a GREAT job man!!💯👊🏻
Thank you!
Awesome channel I have been watching it for 2 hrs now.
This channel good as hello!
Thanks!
Damn this is a awesome RUclips Channel. That George Knapp fellow actually use to host CoasttoCoastam with George Noory. Also that one dude actually resembles the actor Tom Berenger.
Keep looking and you’ll find a very young George Knapp here on this channel. He did excellent coverage of the Chicago mob in Vegas.
@@bettertimeschi Awesome I well indeed be looking out for it and thanks very much for responding. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
this could have all been avoided, if an equal amount of blueberries were in the muffins....
Spilotro did not take orders from Milwaukee and his nickname was "the ant" not "tough tony"
The Ant was a name given to him by the FBI/the media. Tough Tony or The Little Guy would have been actual street nicknames.
@@bettertimeschi The orders came from the Chicago outfit.
@@bettertimeschi exactly
Frank Balistrieri ordered the murder of Tamara Rand. He was one of Mafia bosses involved in the skimming of Las Vegas casinos. Of course Nicky Santoro shooting Anna Scott was fictional.
George knapp...lol very cool
Damm this was cold she didn't deserve that they so cheap
ANOTHER GOOD ONE MOE
Thank you!
Great content
Keep up the great work
Thanks for the support!
All she wanted too get her money back
This says Lefty aka Genius but it was Glick they called genius and you can see why it’s funny makes me laugh the bosses were bang on with their nicknaming lol they called lefty crazy or craze or the Italian word for crazy
Back then you could get away with anything but now 😂😂😂 good luck
In 1980s Chicago, $10,000 was all it took to make a murder change go away
It's because the CIA was involved that's why the "mob" was what it was
What happened to this channel. Its so good and it just disappeared 😢
If RUclips would monetize my channel you’d see a whole lot more content. What kind of content do you want to see more of?
@@bettertimeschi I love these old news stories. You put these together super well.
@bettertimeschi To be honest, I'm wanna get involved and create a RUclips channel. Specifically. One where I don't have to have my face or voice involved. And this is a great example of what I'm trying to do.
When ur rich 🤑 u can get away with anything as long as u do it right but nowadays good luck it's a lot harder.
Hey guy how’s it going
Good, staying busy. How about yourself?
@@bettertimeschi more than I like to be
Subbed, love the content
Thank you!
Did Tony do the hit or?
The book “The Enforcer” by Bill Roemer has a great story on this. Tony Spilotro invited an FBI agent for a comped trip to Vegas. The agent accepts and claimed he was going to try and make Tony an informant (yea right!)
When the agent gets to Vegas, he meets Tony briefly and then never sees him again the rest of the weekend. This was when Tony slipped away to San Diego for the hit. When questioned about it, his alibi? I was with an FBI agent in Vegas.
@@bettertimeschi what an alibi 👌
@@bettertimeschi that's a great story!
Yeh big deal still no answers load of rubbish
Oscar Goodman is a weasel
He was the lawyer to the mob. Frank "Lefty" Rosenthal, Anthony Spilatro, and were his clients.
Bullcrap theories! Waste of time!
Best movie everrrrrr
Great movie, best ever!??? Not even close.
@@mosu9133 in my opinion
U might see different
But it is the BEST movie about some real shit
@@andrewmaalo4477 you need to expand your movie catalog then.
