Everything Scorcese has made is gold, but the Irishman is his magnum opus in my opinion. The only single thing it lacks is it’s parallel to real events as most of the film was fiction.

Only little flaw is too much Drama with Ginger, i mean Sharon Stone was truly amazing as Ginger, but some Scene's maby needed to cut out. How ever, it will always be in my Top 5 Movies of all Time.

I wasn't born in Vegas, but I moved there in 1977. I remember all of it also. I sat in the racebook, in the Stardust, two or three times when Lefty Rosenthal did his live shown on Saturday night at 11 pm { in the football season}. He would make his picks for the Sunday Pro Football games. They had a comedian on the show dressed up in a referee"s uniform with a whistle. He was funny as hell. To me that was the heyday of Vegas!! By the mid-eighties, the influence of the mafia was starting to wind down. It has never been the same since, and never will be.
