I use to work at the Stardust in the 70's, and I tell you Rosenthal was intimidating for sure. Always saw him in the lounge watching what was going on. Wasn't a pleasant fellow. I grew up around Willow Springs, IL, and my dad was buddies with a few of the Chicago Outfit that he grew up with. They actually wanted to drop a stolen trailer at my dads rural little farm he had. He said no. Didn't want to get involved in that crap. Luckily he said no, cause eventually the outfit got busted and his friend went to the slammer. Funerals were another thing. My mom said she was so scared at a mob funeral, because of all the mob men in suits watching people, noting who came. The stories she tells me are downright amazing. The mob would give you their left nut and help you out, but don't cross them. Some good books out there on the corruption of cops in the southside of chicago, dumping bodies in the canal. Yeah, we knew them. A lot of good guys, but.....
The fun fact is that after Lefty died it was found out that he was an FBI informant along with Geri and the two never knew both were informants. The smart thing that Lefty did was get the hell out of dodge after that car bomb. That metal plate took a bunch of the blast because of GM's balancing issue. Either way, Lefty made the casinos a bunch of money and he one of the great book makers.
Just like in the movie, Frank was making too much attention with his TV show and gaming licensing fight which brought more attention to the Chicago Outfit. Tony at that point became a liability and he had 3 criminal trials he was facing. So the Outfit took Tony and his brother Michael out. Geri took the money and ran and like in the movie hung around the bad crowd that used her up in a few months. She died broke from a hot dose of heroin. At least Lefty's kids didn't turn out like their dad.
I live about about 35 mile north of where Tony S. & his brother were shot and buried. Fun fact they didn't die from the gunshots but from being buried alive....Now that's some hardcore gangster shit there!
@@mrt445 Depends who's telling the story.....I think they were suppose to have been killed in Bensenville I believe but Albert Tacco said/told it differently if I'm not mistaken. I also kind of remember the coroner stating they died from asphyxiation so idk.....it makes a good story either way.

It’s nice to see some footage of Geri McGee, there’s not much out there of her mostly just photos
i agree, she was very pretty,
Geri died from a catfight. She was beaten up by another lady at a grocery store for the last pair of latex gloves. 🧤
Wow, look how young George was in this! Does anyone know what year this aired in?
Great video. Man Geri was stacked, Frank had good taste.

Is it worth combing over the last bit of hair on your head, if you can still see your head through it? That's all I'm going to say.
UFO reporting is MIA here
When george was legit and not chasing skinwalkers and aliens.
Geri was a beautiful woman& i never knew her death was classified as homicide& i've watched as much documentaries as i can. too bad. RIP

I thought they were tortured to death in someone's basement then buried the following day.
