I just love all your tutorials - you go above and beyond explaining several techniques which I absolutely appreciate - I took your Pythagorean Pouch to a retreat where I had colour blocked the bottom to allow for a small strip of fabric I had for the top - It was so popular that nearly all the participants made that version using fabric they had available on the day. Looking forward to part 2!
I have so e left over vinyl and it’s been in my stash for years….I always refused to throw it out. Now I am looking forward to making a bag with it! Thank you so much!
THANK YOU FOR BLOWING UP MY BRAIN TO BRING IN THE CREATIVE CRAFTIES IN! I LOVE THIS!! I MUST DO THIS! I GOT LOTS OF VINYL AND FABRIC SCRAPS JUST WAITING TO BE REBORN! CAN YOU SAY "NEW CROSSBODY BAGS?" NEW "WRISTLET POUCHES?' OHMYGAWD! THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS! LOVE THIS!!!!!
Nicole, thank you for this video. Your explantion of splitting the pattern pieces was very clear and, for me, it will now be standard practice. The whole tutorial is extremely helpful. I can't wait now to see what fabric scraps I can use up. Many thanks 🙂
Such a lovely tutorial! Really gets my creative juices flowing. I am also so impressed with your cutting skills!!! I still struggle with cutting using a ruler at times...guess I need to practice, practice, practice. Thanks again for the ideas and the how-tos. Love your channel!
Love your tutorials, very helpful and enjoyable and informative to watch. This one was great, I had a go myself with some scraps after watching it and it came out not too bad for a first go. Your Pythagorean Pouch tutorial is excellent too, you explain things well which I like. Anyway, thanks for your great tutorials and patterns, look forward to the next one. Thanks for being an inspiration.
Thank you for this 😊 I have bee fat quarters for months and not know what to do with it then watched this video and fell in love with your bee bag. So with this video, the pattern and the straight zipper tutorial I've made my first pouch that didn't have a wonky zipper and has a straight and flat bottom. Thank you ❤
Thank you for sharing this with me! My goal is to help everyone achieve their best possible results, exactly how you did by taking what you need from the different lessons. 💕
Your videos are wonderful! I love your style…..No silly nonsense, and very thorough instructions. I’m fairly new here…..found you just a few weeks ago…..but plan to check out all that you offer. Thank you!
This was immensely helpful! Thank you so much Nicole for sharing this. I'm new to sewing and I really want to use every single piece of fabric. Thank you! ♥

Amazing! I have yet to sew my first bag so a complete newbie. Do you repeat it for the back or you use one unblocked fabric for the back of one of the fabrics used for the front? I am a new subscriber!
I’m excited for you to start this new sewing adventure! You can do it either way - color blocking both sides or just one side. The trickiest part of color blocking both sides is mirroring and then lining up the joins at the side and bottom seams. For your first bag I would suggest doing the not color blocked option, or just color blocking one side, but I was never one to shy away from challenge when starting out so I wouldn’t blame you for going all in. I’m glad you found the channel!
I wish I could remember!! I am usually pretty good at remembering sources but it has been a few years and I’m really not sure about that one. It may have been Twisted Needle Textiles but I am not finding anything in my emails to confirm. If it comes to me I will let you know!

Hi Cindy! There are google drive links to the patterns in the video descriptions of the videos; if you expand the description of this video I have noted where to find both the Betty Pouch pattern and the Pythagorean Pouch pattern with links.
Hi! The stand up pouches are the Pythagorean Pouch, the first one is at the regular size (measures 7” wide, 4.5” tall, 2.75” deep) and the bee one is at 120% (8.75” wide, 5.5”tall, 3.25” deep). The flat pouches are the Betty pouch which is 4.5x7.5.

Great video! Very nicely done. 😊
Thank you for the different color blocking techniques. I really liked the pin cushion fabric.
Thank you Betty! And how perfect that it was a Betty pouch! The fabric is from Geek Garden Fabric, it is one of my all time favourites!

Thank you so much! 🥰
I love how they all turned out. I’m a beginner but I would like to try this out. Seems difficult though. Thank you so much ❤
I would start with joining two materials and then cutting out your pattern piece, that will build your confidence! It’s easier than it seems.

I sleuthed it out!! It was TNT, it’s still available under the new business name: www.kafabricsafterdark.com/product-page/43-2?
@@OKSew474 thanks so much!
What kind of vinyl do you use? And where do you buy it?
I use promo and marine vinyl from My PunkBroidery in this tutorial, mypunkbroidery.com/. My absolute favourite vinyl is Mora from Emmaline Bags.
