The smoke and mirrors of PRS/FFP is starting to look less and less convincing, I just think they’re entirely disinterested, the owners. As you said, radio silence. The premier league have driven a stake through the heart of the project and these people are now just bored. We’ve a ground in desperate need of repair and renewal, I remember going to see us v derby, 1st home match of the 00/01 season, nearly 25 years ago, and that was the first time I saw the extension that took SJP from 35,000 to 50,000, and it looked amazing. But that was as I say near 25 years ago. If we had a 90,000 stadium there’d still be people who couldn’t get in. Though of course that’s if we’re a side constantly at least challenging for top 4 football, and we were led to believe that was the plan. Between staveley and eales at least there was communication, now aside from Howe no one says fuck all. The last we heard from Mitchell was the summer. Howe seems to be me like a guy who’ll happily turn up and do his job like the professional he is, but actually wouldn’t be devastated to be offered his redundancy money. I think he half expected it in the summer when he was very free with his words, bluntly stating that we’d weakened our team rather than strengthening. In the immortal words of Johnny rotten, ever get the feeling you’ve been cheated?…
@ I don’t think it’s allowed we will get more sponsors but the still waiting for the three independent judges to make final judgment . Also makes that last premier league vote illegal fyi
You have forgotten how much the Saudis have already spent. When we get news about the stadium which is meant to be early next year then that will be more money the Saudis have pulled out stop jumping the gun and just see what happens first but then again this is what you youtubers do for the views
i have said for ages that it is a granny this PIF thing. study after study on a stadium, if it is anything other than a new stadium they have no interest in making us the best. no new training ground. academy run by the same people. the whole thing is one big granny man. PSR is navigated by other clubs but the PIF, who will have many business brains on their books, cannot navigate it. sports washing, no more or less
PSR isn't 'navigated' by other clubs. They have exactly the same problems as us, except of course for the big 6, whose revenues are already sufficiently large to make it much less of a problem for them. The PSR rules make it an absolute slog for clubs like us and Villa to actually make inroads into closing the gap.
@andrewgarrett5799 what? The same Forest that had to do shady deals with us by swapping Anderson and Vlachidimos to avoid breaching PSR rules themselves? Brighton have a very good system that has been developed for several years of finding players and selling them on for profits. They are nowhere near becoming regular top 5 challengers and will probably finish below us this season. Whilst their model is very good for their long term stability they are nowhere near challenging the cartel clubs. Newcastle would probably love to sell players on to keep the money coming in to fund more new players. The problem is they took over a club with very few valuable players to sell and an academy that barely produced any real talent. The only really saleable assets, which can guarantee money for future transfers, that we have are the players that were bought post takeover.
@ so that can be navigated by producing better players from the academy, which can, and should be, heavily invested in. Why isn’t it? We spent badly, £38 million for barnes who is basically a sub. A lad who, incidentally, went through on goal 1 on 1 and tried to pass it. Not like him at all, so being a sub is not suiting him and is knocking his confidence. Everything can be navigated but we need a manager that knows when to sell players, when their stock is at the highest not when they’ve devalued. Brighton up until recently bought cheap and sold expensive. We spend nearly 40 million on a sub and wanted to spend 70 on a run of the mill centre back. We need a strategy for player trading, a better academy with people who know what they are doing running it. Newcastle have always been mismanaged in my lifetime and nothing seems to have changed. Hopefully Mitchell shows them how a club is supposed to be run and we navigate what you deem unnavigable
@@andrewgarrett5799 and despite all their years of careful trading and academy management we are still better than Brighton, and they are still miles off being able to regularly challenge the top 5. Yes, Newcastle should obviously strive for a better academy. Yes, they will have to improve their trading, even though saying 'we need to sell' is easy and just stating the obvious - we still need other teams to actually offer to buy players like Wilson and Almiron, and for those players to accept the wage offers. Barnes may be considered a misstep, although the plan may have been to simply play Barnes on the left and Gordon on the right. However it seems churlish and selective to suggest our inward transfers have been anything other than very good. No sensible complaint can beade about Trippier, Burn, Hall, Livramento, Botman, Gordon, Guimaraes, or Isak. Osula appears to have potential. It's a shame Minteh had to be sold but he went for a substantial profit. Nobody complained about Targett when we bought him after his decent contribution to keeping us in the PL. It's unfortunate that injuries blighted his career since.
Fact is, the club is not ours anymore, it belongs to the Saudis, quite simply put it’s nothing more than a business, and business especially don’t have to tell what they are up to,,,,,

I think pif sponsor be conflict of interest
Stinks that tho no? They can sponsor Chelsea but bit the club they own 80% in?
@ I don’t think it’s allowed we will get more sponsors but the still waiting for the three independent judges to make final judgment . Also makes that last premier league vote illegal fyi
rack and ruin .......under ashley
@ forest Bournemouth and Brighton seem to have done ok though, no?
Fact is, the club is not ours anymore, it belongs to the Saudis, quite simply put it’s nothing more than a business, and business especially don’t have to tell what they are up to,,,,,
Stupid comment. It's a football club,
@@TonyODOnnell-tt8gh it’s a football club but I think his point is it’s ran more like a business than a football club tbh most if not all clubs are
Pif are not interested in Newcastle united. Never trusted this deal from the satart !- to good to be true , is normally to good to true !
