      It feels very true Peter, explain the total lack of communication to counter said media lies then, total silence on the raft of promises, stiffing the manager in the transfer window? It’s not good enough. Plus it’s not the first time they’ve helped Chelsea, remember all the players the PIF took off their hands the other window, how nice of them, really got them out of an FFP bind, and aside from one pretty paltry deal for maxi they’ve done fuck all to help the club they actually own. They don’t care. If I’m wrong, let them prove it, don’t just give them your blind approval

    As a published author, I think the agency model for football is broken. Agents should be paid by their clients--a percentage of their proceeds. The clubs shouldn't be held ransom to the agents. Agents should be paid by their clients.

      @TDM1165 the owners have been very clear from the start. They said 5 to 10 years and so far we've reached a final, two semis and currently sit 8th close to a second European qualification after just 3. We've got one of the best strikers in the world, the club are planning on a new stadium or huge reconstruction of St James Park! Perhaps people need to look at what's actually happening instead of theorising about what hasn't. Our fans are a pain in the arse quite frankly. All they wanted was a club that tries remember?

I went to my first match in 1976, and in that time have watched no marks like Wigan, Swansea and Portsmouth win silverware. I don’t think it’s too much to ask frankly. Chris watched a video of how the Saudis are building 8-9 new futuristic small cities on the Neom coast in SA. The money its going to cost, is hard to comprehend. Take into account the WC 34 and new stadiums to be built and then the city of Neom itself its very hard to see where nufc lays.

    The PIF are so huge and are looking to make money and promote their brand everywhere. The top peeps might not even have known about it until it broke in the news. I doubt they'll go ahead once they know about it, it wouldn't be a good look for them. I miss AS and MG they were a bridge between the owners and the fans. When Eales leaves the post, maybe they should look to bring Amanda and Merhdad back in an official capacity. Eddie would be happier. Players like Bruno and Botmqn too.

  • @BaronSpamedi
    @BaronSpamedi 25 дней назад +1

    Maybe the PIF are starting to think that there's no point in chucking money at a training complex because it won't vastly increase revenue. The PL have shown they will deliberately stifle attempts to bring money in. Our position is unlikely to improve without investment in the squad, but the PL have shown they will deliberately hinder clubs like NUFC and Villa from being able to invest and compete.
    Maybe the way in which the PL have deliberately stifled Newcastle have left PIF wondering if its all worth the effort.

  • @ManuRangar
    @ManuRangar 25 дней назад +1

    Fair questions to ask, NUFC fans’ biggest fear is that PIF withdraw. I have to say though training ground, stadium etc all takes years so I wouldn’t get too worried about that. What happened to PIF’s interest in Newcastle Airport?

  • @andrewturnbull8955

    Hiya Chris.
    There's reasons behind a few of our concerns and woes - but the announcement that we're all waiting for will be (anticipated to be post certain festival dates, rather than after - as there are a couple of fine details to complete) by Mid-April. These things take time to do right and our patience will be worth it.
    Project 1-89-2 will all encompass this with 'Newcastle's Biggest Transfer!'
    It's a real shame that the announcement could not come before Christmas but what is envisaged is phenomenal - there is nothing like this, so many moving parts which is why it has taken so long with certain infrastructure projects already taking place. Once the announcement is made it'll be like a massive penny dropping!

      @@JNRF5385'The Yellow Wall of Dortmund' will not be added to the Gallowgate. Technically possible but the costs are not feasible as that work had been done nearly 20 years ago.
      You have to take in how long this will take - plus Newcastle don't have a 'close' stadium to share for that time whilst Mods would take place.
      All of the reasons why 'you can't' with X and Y were/needed to be formulated first - which from there the 'what cans/hows' could be then done.
      It's just going to take time - but f*ck me, it's going to be well worth it.
      Let's just say that 'whatever' is tabled makes Wembley look like a Wendy House!

      Ok cool, well I hope you are serious and not a wynd up lol.
      But I think folk need to chill out more regardless everyone crying over Chelsea potential sponsorship by the PIF when it's just a rumour, moaning about stadiums when it's not just a slap up job and takes time.
      We are taking frustrations put onto us by the PL out on our owners thinking that we deserve this and that from them.
      From what I see we are in a way better position than we were and doing great with a brilliant future (outside of the rumours) we need to just wait and see what comes instead of moaning and being entitled and forgetting the good they have done or else maybe they will leave us and then what? Lol

    • @andrewturnbull8955
      @andrewturnbull8955 24 дня назад

      @JNRF5385 I've been involved in some of the biggest and most complicated projects in the UK (Heathrow, King's Cross, Thames Tideway Tunnel and a fleet of Power Stations along with others) so I know how long amd frustrating these not only are to 'The Investors' but to those waiting to see it come to fruition - and being in the dark and believing nothing is happening (Sponsors, Stadium, Training Grounds...) is of course part of that.
      For example, it took Tottenham TEN years to get to the point of breaking ground for their new stadium - but we have a big advantage in that we already have the ability to release the level of funds for such a project, and that's only part of it.
      Those key figures and companies/departments/local governments have been in the loop and where necessary have been placed in the loop - hence some of the infrastructure projects around the area (once the announcement is made then some of the things which have been seen, the public will then realise what and why certain things have been done and put into place).
      It's about getting a few details into place over this short next period to enable a clear plan and series of events to take place.

    I think this your best piece of reporting yet Chris and the most concerning. I can’t really add to what you’ve said because I couldn’t put it better but did you see howes comments about next months window? Talk about pouring petrol on the fire. Essentially saying the word, or what he’s been informed, is improving the players we already have is paramount as it’s not a given we’ll make signings. The smoke and mirrors of PRS/FFP is starting to look less and less convincing, I just think they’re entirely disinterested, the owners. As you said, radio silence. The premier league have driven a stake through the heart of the project and these people are now just bored. We’ve a ground in desperate need of repair and renewal, I remember going to see us v derby, 1st home match of the 00/01 season, nearly 25 years ago, and that was the first time I saw the extension that took SJP from 35,000 to 50,000, and it looked amazing. But that was as I say near 25 years ago. If we had a 90,000 stadium there’d still be people who couldn’t get in. Though of course that’s if we’re a side constantly at least challenging for top 4 football, and we were led to believe that was the plan. Between staveley and eales at least there was communication, now aside from Howe no one says fuck all. The last we heard from Mitchell was the summer. Howe seems to be me like a guy who’ll happily turn up and do his job like the professional he is, but actually wouldn’t be devastated to be offered his redundancy money. I think he half expected it in the summer when he was very free with his words, bluntly stating that we’d weakened our team rather than strengthening. In the immortal words of Johnny rotten, ever get the feeling you’ve been cheated?…

    i have said for ages that it is a granny this PIF thing. study after study on a stadium, if it is anything other than a new stadium they have no interest in making us the best. no new training ground. academy run by the same people. the whole thing is one big granny man. PSR is navigated by other clubs but the PIF, who will have many business brains on their books, cannot navigate it. sports washing, no more or less

    • @BaronSpamedi
      @BaronSpamedi 25 дней назад

      PSR isn't 'navigated' by other clubs. They have exactly the same problems as us, except of course for the big 6, whose revenues are already sufficiently large to make it much less of a problem for them. The PSR rules make it an absolute slog for clubs like us and Villa to actually make inroads into closing the gap.

    • @andrewgarrett5799

      @ forest Bournemouth and Brighton seem to have done ok though, no?

    • @BaronSpamedi
      @BaronSpamedi 24 дня назад

      @andrewgarrett5799 what? The same Forest that had to do shady deals with us by swapping Anderson and Vlachidimos to avoid breaching PSR rules themselves?
      Brighton have a very good system that has been developed for several years of finding players and selling them on for profits.
      They are nowhere near becoming regular top 5 challengers and will probably finish below us this season. Whilst their model is very good for their long term stability they are nowhere near challenging the cartel clubs.
      Newcastle would probably love to sell players on to keep the money coming in to fund more new players. The problem is they took over a club with very few valuable players to sell and an academy that barely produced any real talent. The only really saleable assets, which can guarantee money for future transfers, that we have are the players that were bought post takeover.

    • @andrewgarrett5799
      @andrewgarrett5799 24 дня назад

      @ so that can be navigated by producing better players from the academy, which can, and should be, heavily invested in. Why isn’t it? We spent badly, £38 million for barnes who is basically a sub. A lad who, incidentally, went through on goal 1 on 1 and tried to pass it. Not like him at all, so being a sub is not suiting him and is knocking his confidence. Everything can be navigated but we need a manager that knows when to sell players, when their stock is at the highest not when they’ve devalued. Brighton up until recently bought cheap and sold expensive. We spend nearly 40 million on a sub and wanted to spend 70 on a run of the mill centre back. We need a strategy for player trading, a better academy with people who know what they are doing running it. Newcastle have always been mismanaged in my lifetime and nothing seems to have changed. Hopefully Mitchell shows them how a club is supposed to be run and we navigate what you deem unnavigable

      @@andrewgarrett5799 and despite all their years of careful trading and academy management we are still better than Brighton, and they are still miles off being able to regularly challenge the top 5.
      Yes, Newcastle should obviously strive for a better academy. Yes, they will have to improve their trading, even though saying 'we need to sell' is easy and just stating the obvious - we still need other teams to actually offer to buy players like Wilson and Almiron, and for those players to accept the wage offers.
      Barnes may be considered a misstep, although the plan may have been to simply play Barnes on the left and Gordon on the right. However it seems churlish and selective to suggest our inward transfers have been anything other than very good.
      No sensible complaint can beade about Trippier, Burn, Hall, Livramento, Botman, Gordon, Guimaraes, or Isak.
      Osula appears to have potential.
      It's a shame Minteh had to be sold but he went for a substantial profit.
      Nobody complained about Targett when we bought him after his decent contribution to keeping us in the PL. It's unfortunate that injuries blighted his career since.

    Fact is, the club is not ours anymore, it belongs to the Saudis, quite simply put it’s nothing more than a business, and business especially don’t have to tell what they are up to,,,,,
