Any suggestions for monitors that sound good for ambient/drone synth playing on analog synths? This is generally a lush, multi-textured sound. Thanks for the vid/recommendations!
Any of the monitors on our list would do well with synth drones and textures, but many love the Pioneer DJ DM-40's for electronic music and full range of sound. Keep in mind that there is a learning curve for every set of monitors while you discover how they translate audio. Hope that helps, thanks for your question!
Been using the same pair of Spirits for over 20 years now and whilst i am still as happy with them as the day i bought them, i feel with all the developments over the years, im missing out on fidelity somewhere within the audio spectrum haha! I was thinking of going with Adam T5V for the upgrade but some of these are tempting too
Thanks for sharing! A good pair of studio monitors can last for a long time, but you could definitely be missing out on some fidelity and features at this point. Adam T5V's are also a good choice in the price range. Enjoy!

Both monitors are great choices with very similar specs. Overall sound quality may be a bit in the DM-40's favor, but that doesn't necessarily mean the sound accuracy is better. It may come down to which price point you'd prefer. The Pioneers can be found on eBay for a good deal, especially open box models, but the Edifiers are a little more affordable in general and can be found new at a great value through the product links here. Will the eris sound good with hyperpop/weirdcore/ dreamcore / phonk type of music ? Or is the bass very muted ? Also can they be used for casual use like listening to music. ( same type of music as listed above ) . Id go with normal speakers but i kinda also want them for production since my headphones died Which one would you recomend
Hi there and thanks for your question! As far as your favorite types of music, the Eris wont be shaking the walls with bass, but they will give you a full range of sound for a good price. With your other question, yes, you can definitely listen to music on your studio monitors! This will help you to really develop a sense of what they should sound like. Especially music that you know very well.

The Edifier MR4s are a great set of monitors for the price. The step up to a 4" driver should give you a nice idea of the lower frequencies as well. Enjoy!@@moonfox4990
Depends on what you call budget? I've got a superb four way system and it cost me only £1300! Kali IN-5's with a WS-6.2 subwoofer and it sounds incredible! 😎

Monitors are NOT just visual devices. Ever heard of baby monitors? Those are microphone/speakers. In junior high school we had hall monitors. Those were people. In the simplest terms, a monitor is a person or device that keeps track of and relays information about something. Computer screens are video monitors, speakers are audio monitors.
