I was quite blown away by the quality of the Eris 3.5 for such a small speaker and price. Now I wish I had bought the Edifer.....anyhow, no weeping because soon I will go into much higher prices. Thanks for your clear report!

The Eris 3.5 are a piece of shit. Me and two of my friends buyed them the same week. 3 years later, my speakers and my friends ones died nearly at the same time.

Well done demo. I prefer the Edifier, they would be a good choice to use connected as an output monitor for the Fractal FX3 guitar processor while recording or simply practicing.
may i know how do you connect your mr4 to your guitar processor? is it direct via fx3 output to mr4? thanks!

i Got the Edifier mr4, i had the chance to testem back to back and i prefer MR4. it ddoesnt comparee to Yamaha hs8 that i use, but they are verry good for 30% of 1 HS8. nice video

Edifiers MR4 sound so much better it's not even a competition IMO
as someone who listens to all kinds of music (also classical), which one would you recommend me?
If you want to choose between these 2 speakers, the MR4 is better sound wise. If you want the best sound and still a relatively affordable price, go with the Edifier R1700BTs. It is amazing. Here's a video about it here: ruclips.net/video/EM08vN1sCM4/видео.html

The eris 3.5 has bt. But I absolutely can't recommend it. It's sbc codec only
I have the Eris 3.5 and caps bloated on 3rd year and now is not turning on. Come to find that this is common for the Eris, they fail and some pretty early on. ill be buying the Mr4 or the 1280DB from now on.

Hello, if you want to produce music and you don't need BT and a remote, pick the MR4. Otherwise, go with the R1700BTS, they sound much better

How does the Presonus Eris compare to Edifier 1280T ? iam try to decide between the two but noone has a direct comp
I had the R1280T so I know how it sounds. For music listening, you're better off with the R1280T, for music production, the Eris E3.5. That being said, if you can put $10 more, get the R1280TS. It is much better then both the Eris and the R1280T

Mr4 are lacking in mids while the Presonus tweeter gives a bit of clarity in mids but lacks on bass, which only subwoofer can solve the problem on presonus. In the end of the day, Mr4 are also great in terms in sound and aesthetics. We all have personal preference and use your ears. Whatever you choose between these two, still a win. Specially if you’re upgrading on a normal/generic speakers.
Lol you need to clean your ears, the mids are definitely better on the MR4 or you have no idea how to properly assess the sound. The presonus is more inclined towards the treble.
Are you serious? The Presonus is muddy in the mids at best, they aren't even comparable! This isn't even about personal preference it's about actual clarity!
Bro U do mix ur own music right any producer would tell that the mr4 has the better bass and mid range frequency while the PreSonus sounds like it has less bass and to much treble or high eq

Frequency response of both please. As I know the Eris has a flatter frequency response.
