Or in Vermont. It seemed like every spring, we'd hear about some elderly farm couple discovered dead in an isolated farmhouse after a home invasion months before. Those usually didn't get solved.
I had a good dear friend go missing 5 years ago. Her boyfriend went on tv side by side with her parents to plead for her safe return. A short while later (2-3 weeks I think it was) they found her body. He was charged with her murder and killed himself the day before the trial started. The evidence had been overwhelming. Really sorry for your loss, I can't even begin to imagine how harrowing all of that would've been. I'm glad she was found, and even if proper justice wasn't served, I'm sure she's resting in peace.
I always found being missing way scarier and sadder than being killed or something cause people and your loved ones would never know what happened to you or is happening to you, you're probably getting tortured in the middle of nowhere but everyone would think you might be dead.
Same. If somebody is murdered and somebody else found them, you can at least find out what happened. But missing persons cases are so much scarier. With some missing people, they may have a reason to run, but with others, they just GO. Some are never found like these cases.
I went to Texas Woman's University and nobody ever talks about the Carpenter case, even though it's one of the oldest, if not THE oldest cold case in Texas. The only primary documents you can get on it there is through the TWU library archives. It always made me upset walking by the Student Union (the building that replaced her dorm) that she's been basically forgotten. I don't even think there's a plaque or anything. I'm pretty doubtful though that the Texarkana Phantom Killer was involved. I'm not ruling it out entirely, stranger things have happened, but it's over 3 hours from Denton to Texarkana. That's a long way to go, 2 years after the initial killings, just to murder one woman and not even leave her body to be found like he did with the other victims. Overall, I think it was the cab driver. Last person to see her with no other witnesses, has a history of SA, and, let's face it, there's a reason polygraphs aren't admitted as evidence. Add on the wife's testimony, and some other info she told reporters later about him buying newspapers on the anniversary, and it makes him look pretty suspicious.
If it's true he actually only arrived home at 2-3 am that meant there's up to 6 hours missing from his timeline, more than enough to drive her to the middle of nowhere, kill her, hid her body, and finally drive back. He's definitely a more likely suspect than any of her lovers

The Texarkana Moonlight Murders, mentioned in the second story, are some of the most unsettling unsolved murders in US history. The killer was never caught and many people believed he never left the area. In 1976, Texarkana native Charles B. Pierce made the horror film "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" which was based on the real life crimes and it screened in Texarkana drive-ins annually for years. Highly recommend checking that out if you're into unsolved murder cases.
Can't even imagine not knowing what happened to your loved one. Loving someone to death is heart wrenching in itself but you have a closure. When a person goes missing you keep wondering where that person is.
Please present more of these stories, Mr. Nightmare! This was great. In fact, it would be even better if you went into more detail about the victims & their loved ones/friends, & their backgrounds. It could add so much more to the story. 😊

The fact of disappearing or going missing without your loved ones knowing where you are is disturbing enough. I pray this never happens to me my family or any of you guys. Not a lot scares me but thinking about going missing gives me chills and might actually be my worst fear.
I wonder why Kathy was kidnapped and held, to begin with. Was one of them obsessed with her and he or another one killed her? Were they trafficking her? It’s crazy, how little is known about many of the old cases. Today, we can (or think we can) expect blogs and messages to pop up and explain the whole thing. This reminds me why we used to have a genre called, “Mystery.” Poor girl!
I hope Cacy's mother is living happily dispite her daughter being gone... It's terrible that Alvin's brother is still waiting for his body to be found...
You can still try to live happy and have good moments after losing someone you loved, but the scar is still there and no one ever truly recovers from that.
Sadly these families will probably never get closure. I cant imagine being a parent go through that. One day your kids just never return home. So heartbreaking.

Crazy that a girl disappears, everyone sees her acting strange and being led and nobody reports it. A whole family refuses to cooperate and no charges are pressed and property is not searched. Tax dollars hard at work.
It's scary how these victims disappeared! People should be careful out there. The deceased suspects may have something to do with Mary's disappearance. I feel bad for all these victims!🙁 And the skeleton found may be Kathy! I hope all these cases will be solved soon.
I love how the comments are always “you know it’s a good day when Mr. Nightmare uploads” BECAUSE THATS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL, literally the one RUclips notification I actually rush to click. Love the content, have for years ❤
I think these types of videos about disappearances are ever darker than usual, likely because they don’t have happy endings. In any case, I’m glad that you’re here to tell their stories. I also like to think that at least one person avoided being taken advantage of by keeping one of your videos in the back of their mind…
If you do another one, an interesting disappearance is Kayla Berg from Antigo, WI. There is a documentary and lots of information about it online. This is from my hometown and Is very tragic. I believe she was reported missing in 2008 or 2009. Last seen in Wausau (pronounced wa- saw).

Love all your content! Cant get enough! Do you ever do longer videos? like 45-60 min? I love listening to them while I am driving and would love to have a few longer videos!
In that third story, it seems strange that he owned 2 cars and when his mother went out to the cabin, BOTH vehicles were gone. This seems like it would have been a definite sign that something was up.
Yeah, I am surprised that both vehicles being gone was not touched on. It is a pretty big detail because if he sold both of them or just one it could indicate that he might have moved. I think a small group of people probably killed him and took the cars.
I definitely look forward to hearing these stories. The scenarios are enlightening as to the possibilities of what others go through and what wicked people are out there.
Makes you glad technology has advanced quite a lot since the mid 1900s. I could only imagine how bad it feels to randomly lose a family member/friend without a trace
None of these stories hold a candle to the disappearance of Brandon Swanson of Marshall Minnesota. He got his car stuck on a minimum maintenance road northwest of Taunton, Minnesota, one night in 2008. He walked about a mile and a half from the car while talking on the phone with his dad and said "oh shit!" and the line just went silent. He was never seen or heard from again. That area is wide open farmland and relatively sparsely populated, it's like he just dematerialized.

I am in Denton Texas and have never heard the story about the disappearance of Mary Carpenter. "Although he did pass two polygraphs in her case" Gary Ridgeway, the Green River Killer, was passed over as a suspect in the Green River Killer case after passing a polygraph like 3/4ths the way through his 48 victims.
Andrew Prine who played the main cop in that movie died yesterday. 11/3/22
I‘d be willing to bet the killer watched it too.
There are two movies
bless this channel for the content it uploads.
this channel never disappoints.

whenever mr nightmare posts is a good day
I swear, I see this comment in every video from mr nightmare 🙄
Yes indeed🙂
I know right. But it is true. Lol
Can't even imagine not knowing what happened to your loved one. Loving someone to death is heart wrenching in itself but you have a closure. When a person goes missing you keep wondering where that person is.
Been watching since 2016, love when u post!
Getting back into these videos is great. Christmas vibes from every video I watch in December from Mr. Nightmare.
Yay!!! Mr. Nightmare. Just made my Thursday night. Always waiting for your videos. Fan for life. Best storyteller ever.
"She was last seen in a blue Cadillac"
*shows a pic of a GTO*
Regardless, good job retelling the stories. You always make them so engaging.
Please present more of these stories, Mr. Nightmare! This was great. In fact, it would be even better if you went into more detail about the victims & their loved ones/friends, & their backgrounds. It could add so much more to the story. 😊
THEY CALL ME OLE SASSY! IM A MOVER! IM A GROOVER! I LIKE TO GET DOWN, I LIKE TO GET FUNKY!...SO MY QUESTION TO YOU IS: HOW U ROCKIN WITH IT GROOVY LADY? HOW U MOVIN? HOW U GROOVIN? HOW U GETTIN DOWN AND FUNKY WITH IT?... JUST REMEMBER, SOMETIMES WHEN THE CHIPS ARE DOWN U JUST GOTTA HIT EM WITH A LIL DOSE OF THAT CLASSIC SOUTHERN SASS! THEY WON'T KNOW WHAT HIT EM! WORKS EVERY TIME!
Just because Kenny told her mother she went missing doesn't necessarily mean that he's not involved in Mary's disapearance he could simply have been using that as a ploy to throw suspicion off himself
They said he passed the polygraph
Guilty people pass the polygraph test all the time.
@@TJ-jw1wm it is very easy to pass these kind of test. You just gotta keep your heartbeat down. If you do that you could say you’re the president without it going off. If Kenny had no remorse he could easily pretend to act calm

Thank you for the great content!
Mr. Nightmare is absolutely the best story teller on RUclips.
These were great but sad stories. It seems like not many people who go missing are ever found. Tyfs Mr Nightmare. God bless you
I love you Mr nightmare!!! Im always gonna watch your videos! It’s so soothing your voice!
Almost 4 years since I first saw one of your videos, still top quality.
…
You can still try to live happy and have good moments after losing someone you loved, but the scar is still there and no one ever truly recovers from that.
Been so busy with college, this winter break I’m going to catch up with all your videos hehe
Yay my favourite youtuber back again!
Sadly these families will probably never get closure. I cant imagine being a parent go through that. One day your kids just never return home. So heartbreaking.
Yes 🙌🏼 thank u tremendously for uploading a new video! Definitely always get happy when the notifications go off n it’s ur channel. Keep up the pure awesomeness 💙💙
Crazy that a girl disappears, everyone sees her acting strange and being led and nobody reports it. A whole family refuses to cooperate and no charges are pressed and property is not searched. Tax dollars hard at work.
Thank you, Mr. Nightmare. I was worried after October there would be less updates
Mr. Nightmare always make his stories bone chilling 😳
Was just watching one of your Ring Doorbell videos and I get a notification for a new upload! Thank you for the video, we love you! ❤
I like the new logo. I was here well before a million, you should do a Q and A it’s been years.
Yes that one fr is so sad. It doesn’t make any sense.
@@bradybrouchoud979 yeah I agree. We still have banners up for her.
I look forward to your videos. Your voice is so soothing and relaxing. It's like an ASMR video too 😂 When I see a notification, I stettle down at night after a stressful day at work and curl up to watch your videos. Thanks for the consistently great content.
Thank you for being the best horror story channel out there! We really appreciate your uploads and love the content! ❤❤❤
been watching every video of urs now for 7 years haha love the content
I know some of these cases are very old but I always hope these videos can bring awareness and maybe be solved.
@@jahimuddin2306 Yep.👍
I definitely look forward to hearing these stories. The scenarios are enlightening as to the possibilities of what others go through and what wicked people are out there.
Stuff like this is why I have such irrational fears of the world its wild to think people can easily slip thru the cracks of a subtle reality
Dude you have been doing this for 7 years and it’s still the best thing ever
Makes you glad technology has advanced quite a lot since the mid 1900s. I could only imagine how bad it feels to randomly lose a family member/friend without a trace
Loving the consistency lately king!!
Nothing makes my night then to see a MR NIGHTMARE notification 🥰🥰🥰
I’ve had the worst day ever and I am just so excited to curl up and listen to a good Mr. Nightmare 😊
Hope your day gets better
@@Alpha_Zap2004 thank you!! ❣️
Hope you’re ok now and your days are happy and sunny 🌞
@@voxlibertatis1591 guess what!! The next day I applied to a different job. I wasn’t expecting it to work out because it’s kind of a unicorn job. I’ve been there since before thanksgiving and I am FLOURISHING. thank you so much for your nice comment 💕💕.
Thanks ! Your true stories are the BEST !
It's crazy. I have been listening to Mr nightmare since he had like 100k subs. He's gone so far! It's awesome
I listen to RUclips stories daily. You have the best voice.
I am in Denton Texas and have never heard the story about the disappearance of Mary Carpenter. I'm going to have to look into that one...the earliest disappearance I had heard of was either in the late 60's or very early 70's when a 6 year old girl literally vanished while playing outside her Parents restaurant's screened in patio. I plan on digging into that story and doing a video.
Crazy!!! Amazing video as usual Mr. Nightmare!!!!
I haven’t heard of any of these, you did a good job
I have now watched every single mr nightmare videos start to finish
Thank you mr nightmare for posting so often
It’s terrifying that people have houses, and no blinds.
"Although he did pass two polygraphs in her case" Gary Ridgeway, the Green River Killer, was passed over as a suspect in the Green River Killer case after passing a polygraph like 3/4ths the way through his 48 victims. "They passed/failed a polygraph" is about as conclusive as "they promised they didn't do it"
Yeah polygraphs are extremely unreliable.
Great video as always Mr. N! The new channel logo is SLICK too! Love it!
Awesome video! I appreciate the time you spend making quality content!
I love your videos man. Ik that you probably get tons of messages like that but I'm an OG watcher from when you only had 1k subs. I've been watching your videos ever since. Keep up the awesome work
I know all these cases especially cathy moulton. I've been very familiar with that case for years .
Lester was her older boyfriend , not friend.
I appreciate you covering her case as I havent seen anyone make a video on her case before 🙂
I also made a video about virginia carpenter on another channel I have about 2 years ago
She never went by the name Mary.. she preferred to be called Virginia or ginny
Best RUclipsr on here. Been listening for years. Keep it up
Love you Mr. Nightmare, thank you for all the great content.
Ideas for scary story settings: skiing, amusement parks, beach or ocean, boating, lake house, restrooms/rest stops, elevator, malls.
Mr nightmare never disappoints
Mr. Nightmare never disappoints. The fact he did so much research to find 3 stories is very impressive. Keep up the great work.
Happy halloween mr nightmare hope you enjoyed it 🎃
Your voice is soothing and comforting to me even telling a scary story! Thanks
You should do a video on Unsolved Australian Homicides. I suggest The Bowraville Murders as a starting point as it’s not covered nearly enough but it’s a truly ugly case of injustice and law maker corruption.
Why don't u do it?
Man, I really enjoyed it . Mr. nightmare keep up the good work man
