One thing you forgot to mention about the 2 girls that went missing is that one of the photos from the camera was deleted, and it was deleted using a computer, so the photo couldn't be recovered making it even more suspicious. Someone was trying to cover their tracks. The tour guide could have been the one that did it. They also said that the backpacks were found neatly together standing up as if they were planted by someone. Very sad case indeed.

It's a given that some kids may not be able to keep up!! I'm sorry but they are at fault. There needed to be TWO leaders, one in front, one in back 4 stragglers.. jesus he was just a kid!!!

All of these stories are so sad. I can’t imagine how scared and lonely they must have felt. Story 3 sent chills down my spine for some reason. It seemed like he had everything going for him: great athlete, going to college, beautiful girlfriend, working, etc. It seemed like things fell apart all at once and I just wonder if he had a mental breakdown. Maybe he was contemplating suicide? Maybe someone was after him? Why wasn’t he working at the grocery store anymore? It goes to show us that we truly do not know what someone is going through.

@@thecrimsondragon9744 thats sort of my theory. His parents hid the fact that they were controlling and abusive to him. He then either didnt show up to his job to plan for his own disappearance or he simply quit. He broke up with his girlfriend bc he was running away but she wanted to talk to him so he decided to set his plan of action after he left her house. He might have had an accomplice help him out which is why someone saw him in a passenger seat. Of course thats assuming that actually was him. It might be a mix of abusive parents and mental issues that his parents took advantage of to control him reaching his breaking point.

Story 3 seems like maybe after going to his girlfriend's house to talk about the breakup and then having his parents call about him being fired, it all just clicked for him. He took off into the woods and wandered the train tracks waiting for his end. When it didn't come, he might have taken off through the woods, hitch-hiked to a new town, and found a new life. I like to think all this, because the idea that a secretly troubled 17 year old left it all behind to try again is a lot nicer than him just disappearing or taking his own life.
I truly hope anybody not found yet is at peace, and the souls of the people who were found are resting easy. Sad stuff.

If you go into the woods:
    -Don’t go alone if possible.
-ALWAYS tell someone where you’re going and when they should expect you to return.
-Bring water, food, and clothing appropriate for the weather and length of your excursion, plus a bit more than needed just to be safe.
-Bring a hand radio, flashlight, and fire starter.
    -Bring a weapon if able.

He had encountered bears and wild dogs, had run out of water and was down to his last chunk of beef jerky. He had taken two nasty spills off rocky ledges that left him with a slight concussion and bruised ribs. He had begun hallucinating, hearing his parents’ voices at night and believing that airplanes were delivering him messages in the clouds.

      @rookiequasar5763 Год назад +76

I haven’t finished this video yet but I just got onto the last one- and there’s something I wanted to bring up. I’ve heard their story a good few times and it never, EVER, loses the horror, and certain things haven’t left me about it.
There have been a few people who have reported that the tour guide has been creepy and strange with women who look a certain way: white, blonde women. A few reviews on him by women who fit this description and were traveling alone actually describe him being somewhat predatory with them and to avoid him at all costs if you’re alone or in only a pair, which is deeply concerning. I think I remember hearing that he also had some kind of sway over the locals in that area, likely with money, but that’s a hazier memory. Also, he was allowed to go and “inspect” their room at the house they were staying at- and he was unsupervised while he was in there. We don’t know whether some of the photos on the later side of their ordeal were even taken by them- or by someone who had managed to get one or both of them under their control. The missing photo that was deleted via computer yet never properly followed up on just infuriates me- this whole thing reeks of failure on the Justice systems involved- I KNOW we could find the people involved- there’s no way that these girls just “went into the trees and got lost” because the trail was very, very clear. They were pursued off the trail and into the wilderness, I’m sure of it. The details of how their remains and their belongings were found, as well where, and when, and who found them- all of this is far too suspicious.
If they went and got lost by being reckless and losing track of the trail- which, if I remember the trail and the mountain(s?) it’s on, is actually really easy to get back to where you need to be since you can just go Up to get a bird’s eye view of the trail, so why didn’t they do this?- their actions, photos, belongings, all would have certain consistencies in their placement and condition. Again, timing too. But theirs did not have these consistencies, and the way some of their body parts were found don’t match natural decomposition/predation. And many people know that when you get lost, you stay put when you realize you’ve made a critical error- as long as staying put in that space is safe and secure. So why... did they not do this?
Sorry for the big post, my brain went AAAA about this because I got big feelings for these women- something about them and their story bites me harder than most. Really scary stuff, man. I could see myself in their shoes, being a tiny Guatemalan. Predatory men would consider me easy prey if I were alone.

Around somewhere halfway through the trail it started to get dark and then I came across some stream and couldn’t figure out if I was going the right way or not. I felt stranded and helpless and cried out to someone who was never there. My common sense kicked in and I felt I should head back, which I did. I was back on the path and continued to hike back to my car until the next day in the afternoon where I was found by search and rescue workers near the Lemmon Rock Lookout Tower, which was a mile from my car. The sheriff drove me back to the parking lot since the trail that lead to the lookout tower was wide enough for one car to pass through, authorized vehicles of course. I was reunited with my family at the top in the parking lot.

I watched a video about the 5 missing men and on that video, someone pointed how their "mild" mental difficulties were actually pretty severe for most of them. Some of these men had below average IQ, learning difficulties, and were just unable to actually take care of themselves on their own. And this is something a LOT of people leave out. And it always surprised me when people making the videos brushed off these problems, but I got so used to hearing it that way that I also kinda just brushed it off. The comment also noted that since the majority of these men had learning difficulties, and low IQ-- they wouldn't process the logic of simply pushing their car out. Or opening the cans of food to eat, or starting the fire to keep warm. These were thoughts that didn't even occur because they couldn't understand how that would save them. However, the only sound of mind person was Mathias, he only suffered from schizophrenia and he was in the military, so he knew survival skills. It's odd how he wouldn't had told his friends what to do or do it for them-- like opening cans of food or starting the fire place. Unless they had somehow gotten separated or he experienced an episode. There's a lot more than what one video will tell you. Sometimes you just gotta watch multiple videos to put it all together

    • @rookiequasar5763

I have an odd theory about it- as someone who is neurodivergent but plenty capable, I wondered if maybe the men who made it to the trailer didn’t touch the food or the fuel because it wasn’t “theirs” to use.
Like, taking shelter in the trailer may have been bad enough but understandable in their minds, but using what they didn’t buy or ask to use may have been a deterrent. They also didn’t seem to cover up the open part of the trailer, I think? To keep the cold out? But- they may simply not have thought about it- or known how exactly to fix the problem. they might have done what I do frequently when it comes to food- which is forget to eat or put it off if something else is occupying my mind- but sharp hunger pangs would be enough for most anybody to eat whatever was around and do whatever they could to stay warm... if they had the know how on handling fuel and fires. Maybe they were scared of burning the trailer down, or burning themselves, and avoided lighting one entirely.
Nexpo did a good video on them before which is where i learned about the case first, so seeing this here brought back Memories(TM), but it still makes me sad.
I’d have liked a world where all of them were still here, still kicking and hanging out somewhere. Even if the majority of us never even knew they existed, it would be so much nicer, wouldn’t it? To have another pack of friends living their best life together somewhere?

Yeah I agree. I think people may not realise the scope of these disabilities.
iirc, the one who was driving was never found? so my hypothesis is that an argument occured when the car got stuck and the driver just stormed off in anger. Might be why they didn't notice the man calling out for them. The other men in the group may have not been able to drive in those weather conditions, so they chose to seek help elsewhere. One of them got frostbit and passed out, they went to the trailer and let him there, but presumed him to be dead or in a coma, so they still figured that they needed to find someone for help, so left him behind.
I feel like the guy in the trailer might've been conscious at some point but left unable to stand out of bed because of the frostbite, so he was unable to access the food stored in the trailer... something like that

I remember researching the last one when I was younger, there was definitely foul play involved. There was another photo that was actually physically wiped from the camera before the police got to it. I also believe that in the five men one, there was also foul play involved. 1. I was in the Webalo Scouts when I was younger. We went on a camping trip one weekend. We were told to NEVER separate from the group because of hidden drop offs, gullies, and even cave ins. Even though I like hiking, I hate camping.
It is SO EASY to get turned around, lose your way, get side tracked, or fall to your death.
More than likely the kid probably got turned around and walked in the wrong direction. Once you realize you have been going in the wrong direction, unless you are experienced at finding your way in the wilderness, you will never find your way out.
    2. There are other "mystery" channels on YT that have this particular story. One of them went into depth on this story. If you want more info on this story, look for it on some of these other mystery channels. It's very intriguing.
    3. When you grow up being loved and worshiped as always being "good", popular, or being a "leader", especially in your teen years, it can do some heavy psychological damage when things just go badly for you all at once. It seems your world has crashed, and theres no getting out. He probably initially just needed to get away from town and have time to think, but by the time he had sorted it out in his mind, he was too embarrassed to go back home. So he left town.
Ignoring your kids while they grow up is as deadly as over-possessing your kids. They need a balance, knowing that not every day is going to go their way. They need to be taught how to deal with the pitfalls and downfalls of life, and that its not the end.
    4. Two white girls in a S. American country...........wandering off alone. I don't think they could have gotten any more stupid than that. And with no weapons of any type or tools, or emegency medical supplies........I'm sorry, but that was just top level ignorance.

What if the reason the guy in Story 3 randomly bolted from his car was that he developed schizophrenia, and he experienced his first episode or his first major one. And this caused him to freak out and effect his mindset. It would also explain why when the kids tried to talk to him, he motioned for them to be quiet. He could have had paranoia from his schizophrenic episode. Just a thought

But I believe that it was the tour guide just based on what MN just told us and his suspicions and it is not uncommon for a serial killer to go back to the spot of their killings and also finding the show also is very suspicious as well.
