Unfortunately that’s pretty textbook sleep paralysis. Some people get it and just can’t move (I’m one of those people), but some people get freaky hallucinations just about every time.
The first story is a channel classic, I feel like everyone from this channel has heard it multiple times. After hearing the first sentence I *immediately* knew what story it was.
Got legit chills from this. Have you ever heard someone call your name but nobody is in the house? Happened to me once. Thought I was crazy. Never happened again. Husband has had it happen but it was MY voice he heard. I wasn't home.
@Toast i remember i would naively go to my mothers voice when i heard her calling my name and id say did you call me ma? nope and i never thought anything of it recently. it is weird. i dont get it. but its not a hearing illusion i think theres an explanation but science is uncompetent and lacking where it cannot explain. its metaphysical honestly.
happened to me but my mother was home and every time it happened to me my whole family would be in the house so i wasnt scared. it hasnt happened to me in years though so im safe not being scared anymore as an adult im scared but kids nope were innocent but naive is bad.
A few months ago when I was home alone I could’ve sworn I saw someone looking at me out of the corner of my eye. When I looked out my doorframe, I was sure I saw something quickly duck down behind the stairway railing. When I walked over to the top of the stairs my dog started barking over and over facing the mud room. No one was there but it was a creepy experience.
Does anyone else remember that story where a guy went to the movies and he was the only one in the theater and then he saw someone poking their head up from a row of seats looking at him. And it kept getting closer and he decided to leave because he was freaked out and when he walked by the row it was someone holding up a severed human head. That story is the one that has stayed with me and freaked me out the most to this day 😅
Both stories mentioned in this thread are some of his classics. Not to mention the one out of the thousands that I've listened to from him which was a story about a groups of kids, I believe cousins or siblings that got to playing hide and seek and the storyteller ended up in an abandoned farm house I believe. The story went on to talk about how the child fell asleep in the closet after nobody came to look for him and woke up to it being nighttime. He hears the sound of someone walking around in the dark hallway and dragging something about, then the supposed person approached the closet. Before it opens up, an unknown person that was not originally in the closet with him breathes on or touches him and so he fled all the way out of the house without being grabbed or clearly seeing his potential attackers. This dream haunted 12-13 year old me for ages.
As a former pizza delivery driver, I can honestly say I have had a few really scary things/situations happen to me...which is why I not only believe story 1, it freaks me out. People don't realize how dangerous that job can actually be...
There's a Pizza Hut in town near me, and it has a sign for the delivery drivers which instructs them to never put themselves at risk; and to turn around and come back if the delivery location looks suspicious.
I just realized how close Mr. Nightmare is to 6 million subs and i couldn’t be more proud. I’ve been here since Mr. Nightmare only had around 800,000. Edit: HE DID IT!!!!
I swear the first story in this video is the one that made me remember this channel for years and periodically revisit it. The audio effects Mr. Nightmare put in only amplified everything. That was such a terrifying listen my first time too so naturally I feel warm knowing it affected him the same way lol
As a delivery driver, this hits home in more ways than one. Luckily, I can refuse to complete deliveries if I go to an location and it looks abandoned.
I acknowledge ghosts and evil spirits exist but I don't believe in them as in I don't think they're the reason some incidents happen to us, like people blaming ghosts for knocking over a cup. Just remember this earth and universe is bigger than we can imagine, there is almost a logical explanation for everything besides creepy retarded people. Never be scared of anyone and anything, because they've won over you at that moment.
Yeah he had to do it with the intention of causing his viewers to shit their pants cause it's 1 am and I flinched while holding my phone sideways until that face was gone
The picture of the demon thing in the last story was genuinely terrifying. I almost jumped upon seeing the face and felt goosebumps on my arm. Think my heart dropped too.
Story 5 has always been the creepiest one I’ve heard on this channel. Sleep paralysis stories was the scariest in general. Especially that image at 16:30 holy crap.
The first one is actually from the first narrated horror story video I ever watched on RUclips. I was hooked right away. You had me at hello, Mr. Nightmare 👹🖤
I wish you didn’t delete your older videos like your story The Trailer, the Creepypasta stories, and videos like the Bigfoot sightings, they were so nostalgic for me. But, I’m so happy for the success you’ve achieved Mr Nightmare. I wish the best for you and can’t wait for more uploads. ❤
I like this idea, hopefully you do a part 2 with more stories that creeped you out. Makes it easy for me since I love to listen to your videos over and over, sometimes even fall asleep to them.
@@kierancooke6670 bro I had a Mr nightmare video on one time and was trying to sleep and my mom opened the door to my room and I slightly heard it and my whole body shook up and I almost started throwing punches into the air. Safe to say, I won't be sleeping to these stories again
@@ibored404 No joke sometimes the stories influence my dreams and they turn into nightmares. Had one where I was being chased by a murderer, and in horror movie fashion I thought I was safe and well hidden and then he found me. I woke up terrified yet fell right back asleep listening to his videos on autoplay lol.
I watched you as a kid when you made that chuck e cheese creepy pasta video, and instantly started to love you're content and have always watched you then, I still watch and love you're content. Thank you for the nostalgia and entertainment throughout the years
Yess literally same! I remember the chuck e cheese one too. And that also reminds me of the other ones like the fnaf one and the splash mountain one. Those were good times.
I think I have an explanation for the one about the crawlspace. Someone was stalking his house and recorded his mom saying his name, explaining why it always sounded the same. They then used that recording to try to lure him into the crawlspace. Simple.
16:27 This is exactly what I saw, the first time I experienced sleep paralysis as an adolescent. It’s incredible how many people apparently have had that same experience. Felt like pure evil and it was so real to me that I genuinely thought something was in my room, and woke up my parents to check the house.
I had the same experience, but it wasn’t a floating head, but that white Bigfoot from my singing monsters game creeping by the hallway next to my door, it just kept saying “humm” over and over again how it acts in game as well.
1st sleep paralysis episode I had was a tall shadowy figure with chunks of flesh hanging off its body, long blackened claws, eyes that looked like the starry night sky and sharp ass teeth and its mouth twice as long as an ordinary humans.. it was fucked. The noises it made sounded like whispers and wheezing kind of like what story 5 was like.. whenever it tried breathing it sounded like it smoked for its whole life.. when it got close it yelled like a lunatic and that last yell echoed and I woke up sweating like crazy. So yeah story 4 and 5 really bothered me. Dreamed about a backrooms entity before the backrooms were even a thing.
I watched this last year (shortly after it was uploaded) while I was trying to sleep and woke up to one of the creepiest faces I’ve ever seen before in my life… needless to say I was up All Night after that and had trouble sleeping for almost a week following it. This is the best horror video/content I’ve seen to date (I’m 23 years old, so not that much time but still)
Story 4 will always be the most terrifying to me. Even if it isn't true, it's still a fear inducing tale. It's short, simple, but effective in the way that it features a fear of manipulation, deception from someone pretending to be a close family member. I think anyone would be shitting their pants at the thought of someone pretending to be your own mother, especially in your own home.
@@Lol-tn9lr my take was it was some sort of home intruder that somehow got a recording of the main character’s mom’s voice, broke into his house, and played the sound to lure him into the crawlspace and kill him.
Mr. Nightmare brother. I have been watching your videos since 2014 and can safely say you are one of the RUclips-horror-genre elites. Your content has gotten me through so many different phases of my life, and honestly there are many memories of mine that I actually associate with specific videos / stories now since I’ve watched them all just shy of a trillion times. Fr though, thanks for being one of the most legendary narrators ever and PLEASE never leave us
Your videos helped me get through high school and nursing school. Whenever I had a tough day/week and I saw the notification that there was a new video, it helped take my mind off of what was bothering me. Now, in my senior year of nursing school, these videos help me realize that there are things more scary than select all that apply questions and care plans.
The first story always reminds me of a story I had as a pizza delivery driver. I showed up to this seemingly abandoned house, I was told to go to the back. I was scared but had pepperspray. Nobody ever showed up luckily so it was probably a prank, but it felt as if I was being watched.
Thank you Mr.Nightmare for the uploads. I've listing to you for quite a long time (don't remember exactly when, but must be 5-6 years). I always likes your narration.
1. I love Mr. Nightmare's storytelling. He never fails to give me chills, especially on a cold day or night when it's raining out 2. The fourth story gave me chills. I've had nightmares of this happening, but with my dad. Someone pretending to be my dad standing at the end of a street, telling me to follow him only for it to be a disfigured version of him. It always ended right when the weird version of my dad would turn around, and I'd always wake up shaking. It's always terrified me thinking of something that imitates someone close to you in order to lure you towards it.
Anyone remember that story where a guy was walking down a street and saw a lanky man dancing forth with a huge smile, looking at the sky? That's the one that freaked me out most.
I started getting sleep paralysis in my teens, I’m almost 30 now and I get it every once in a while. I’ve gotten it so much throughout the years that I’m at the point where I give myself a routine to calm myself down and I’m able to wake myself up in seconds. I have seen shadow people and figures, and even hear whispering, but luckily these hallucinations where they approach me has only happened a few times.
6 million today! Let’s go. Been here since the start, most of the videos that brought me back time and time again are gone sadly, but still happy with the growth! Congrats
Nummmmber fourteeeen. This channellll. I starttted watching this AT NiiiiGhT when all of a SUDDEN I felllt paranoiiid. Mr. Nightmarrre REALLY kNows how to Delivrrrr. Yiiikes!
Your voice just makes the stories sound 30x more creepier that’s a good thing because you can hear and feel the mood of each story thank you mr.nightmare ❤😊
Mr. Nightmare, you have the best horror stories of any channel. So much care is put into each story; the sounds, the music, the ambience, his voice building the story up to the climax is all just on a different level to any other story teller. He is the embodiment of quality over quantity, and that is why you are not just my favorite story teller but my favorite horror channel.
The one where his mom has dementia is the one that freaked me out the most. For her to just go over and be in his house alone and knowing how dementia plays with the mind... whoever broke in/ came in could have hurt her or killed her. I'm glad his dad doesn't let her go on her own anymore but I can understand how it's sad for him and a sense of relief at the same time.
For the last story, it's pretty common to have scary images during sleep paralysis. Most of the time it's shadow people but it can vary. I have hypnopompic hallucinations (illusions that occur from sleep to wakefulness) which are very vivid and tend to be spooky but only last in short bursts. Of course what he experienced is scarier than anything I've seen.
Its so good aswell to see you re read the stories and tell the difference from how you sounded when you last told the story years ago to now. The old voice gives so much nostalgia but is so cool to see your modern take on the stories with your newer voice!
All these stories are truly disturbing but the 2nd one gets me every time I hear it. I can’t imagine the horror that person felt when the old lady told them that the owner was murdered 2 years prior. Shivers = timbered 😂
Worst part is, it probably was the killer in that home. It's known that up in cabins like that the killers like to stick around the cabin and commandeer it because they're typically vagrants.
What I don‘t understand is why he felt the need to say „disgustingly pale skin“. That author was exposed for his racism in the original video. He never did reply. Unsurprisingly.
@@SorrowAvenue Disgustingly dark wouldn't even be visible in that light. Disgustingly pale with the fact that the person was watching the other sleep didn't paint the picture of someone from a particular race but rather the image of someone who has not been in society or someone who is not fit in society. You are here taking three words on your chest disregarding the fact that the person with pale skin because that's only how we can describe them living in some abandoned cabin who could very well be the murderer of the owner. You are defending a creep like come on and chill out.
Mr. Nightmare chooses the best stories to tell! Normally I don't get too freaked out when reading or hearing spooky stories but I'll have to admit, stories 4 and 5 really gave me a fright! Mr. Nightmare has such a wonderful voice too! 10/10!! Loved this video!! :D
@@cremantck that was creepy that happened only once to in my house, a voice said my name and told me to get the phone??? and I just ran lol I thought bro was messing with me nope he was just haning with mom cooking in kitchen 😂
The story of that kid hearing their mom call their name reminds me of a time, many years ago- So everybody was home and I was in the kitchen and I suddenly heard my mom call my name as clear as day. I went to the room she was staying in and said 'Huh?' and she told me she hadn't called me so I went asking my other siblings but they said no one called me. I was confused and just continued on with my day lol. My family isn't the type to suddenly call me without any reason or just for a 'prank' so... yeah *shrug* I remember my mom telling me that if you suddenly hear your name being called to not respond to them because she says it's a spirit trying to take you with them. I don't know how true that is though lol
That last one gave me true fear, like my chest was tight and I wanted to cry cause I felt so terrified. The image was very unnerving too, I had to look away from it or else it would appear in my nightmares. No idea why I felt so terrified. Great video as always!
Reminds me of The Grudge. I remember watching that movie when I was 7 and hearing that croaking sound it made. Gave me nightmares. Seeing that last one brought back some of that fear. I stared at it the whole time while listening to the sound and regretted every moment of it lmao. I don’t know what it is about weird, creepy sounds like that and people who look just slightly different enough (like the mouth and eyes that the image had) to where it freaks the shit out of you. And then imagining something like that inching towards you or crawling on the walls is just a different kind of immense fear. I wonder why that is. Usually get scared from something because it feels dangerous. But I don’t exactly see how that would incite danger other than it looking and sounding creepy lol
Thank you for all the hard work over the years Mr.Nightmare. I have loved your content since 2018. Keep up the good work. And the first story you read is so nostalgic to me. Because the pizza delivery stories were the first videos I got recommended to you.
The last one was the least scarry for me. It's freaky, but chances are it wasn't even a person in the bush. It was probably an injured or rabid animal, likely a raccoon. And like the story says, what happened later that night was definitely sleep paralysis. It's creepy, yes. But it's not very scary.
@@hondaaccord736 Same. I've had almost the same sleep paralysis situation. The girl from "The Ring" or at least what my mind created was crawling up my bed until she was right over my face. She then started making this guttural/gargling sound until I was able to jerk my head away while screaming "No!" Unsettling experience for sure.
Your voice is so calming and gives the story telling even more scary and gives me the chills when you show those demonic pics thanks mr nightmare for all the amazing uploads and making my nights impossible to sleep peacefully 😊❤
That last story scared the crap out of me, especially with the picture he used to describe the monster he saw during the sleep paralysis. I still sleep paralysis, but I've never experienced something like in life.
There was no need for the jumpscare with the face on the last story. My soul just left my body. I love this guys story telling 🤣 it’s an addiction at this point

@@mrtumnus5690 lol. It was freaky as hell though. Sleep paralysis is one of the most terrifying thing a human can experience. My friend, actually had a sleep paralysis demon from his childhood when he was only 5 or 6. He had a bad dream with his demon, where he stood up, and told him to go away. The sleep paralysis demon simply responded with, “No” I can imagine going through that.

I remember getting into Mr. Nightmare when he was still doing creepypastas and got into trouble with Chuck E Cheese for making a creepypasta out of it. Sad that he deleted them but I knew he wanted to just be a true horror story channel so I respected it
You are in a roll lately with the uploads and I couldn’t be happier ❤️❤️❤️ One of my favorite stories was the one where the author was walking in the woods by a lake when they saw a shadow/some kind of creature behind them, but no matter how far away they ran, it always remained about 6ft behind them. This was shared mid-Covid pandemic so a lot of people joked that it was just respecting social distancing, but when we remove that joke, the situation is haunting.
This is what we love Mr. Nightmare. Your hard work is never wasted!! Love the videos and I’ll be waiting for any other videos you make. Old or new rewatching your videos is the best!
Bro when that pic of the face at the end of the bed popped up it scared the shit outta me, I couldn't get myself to look at it for too long it freaked me out
Honestly the face at the end was the scariest thing out of this whole video! I literally had to cover the screen with my hand and sometimes glance at it until it went away lol. But this was a great video! Keep it up!
Sleep paralyses can be incredibly credible, especially as you just has woken up. I have seen huge-ass spiders crawling in the ceiling, and as soon as I gain control of my body I flew out of my bed. Of course, nothing is there, but they look so real and convincing.
The one with the guy going to the abandoned cabin is also one of the spooky stories that you narrated that has stuck with me love this video Mr nightmare!
I’ve been watching this man since I’m a literal kid I’ve went through thousands of RUclipsrs some from my own country who I should have a lot of biased and relation to but for some reason this man’s upload schedule and tone and vibe always drew me back you never forget him but also never miss him he shows up when he needs to and for that I thank you for all the years of horror
Thank you for the amazing content lately Mr Nightmare! Your content will always be my favourite for the great quality of your uploads. It's worth it! :)
For the 5th story, the sounds remind me of the Grudge type noises, but seriously tho, the image to resemble a floating head creeped the hell out of me, and the fact that it felt so damn real from their perspective
itll be crazy to hear some of my favorites from over the years THE FIRST STORY SCARED ME SO BAD AS A KID LIKE 4 YEARS AGO AND STARTED ME ON SCARY STORY CONTENT
Some nights, when I'm trying to fall asleep I remember the last story and feel shivers down my spine every time. It was nice to see that this story freaked out Mr. Nightmare as well 😂
I love listeting to these in the night or day time and when I go to bed I'm always anxious lol that's how addicted I am to these scary stories I listen to them from the full day.
13:22 it is absolutely insane that people think about something supernatural/unexplainable before thinking that CLEARLY someone recorded her voice calling them and just kept on playing to lure the person to the crawl space. The tone, volume everything the same, this is a voice recording. Unbelievable! This isn't the first time on one of these stories I hear that it happens and people brush it off as being supernatural or imagination. I cannot understand either people do not believing while the door for the crawl space is open. One thing is to hear once your parents calling you from a distance, there are tons os explanations for that, if you are hearing constant and consistenly someone calling you to a specific - isolated - room of your house like this, there is definetly a human being there.
As someone who has experienced sleep paralysis on multiple occasions and fell victim to some incredibly unnerving, unexplainable and nightmarish scenarios, the last story gave me chills. I pray i never have to see anything like that when i inevitably experience sleep paralysis again.

Story 4 will always be the most terrifying to me. Even if it isn't true, it's still a fear inducing tale. I think anyone would be shitting their pants at the thought of someone pretending to be your own mother, especially in your own home.

Mr. Nightmare, I am proud to be a subscriber of your channel, you're truly a legend. Wish you all the best.
I got actual CHILLS from these. I almost had a heart attack when the last story image popped up lol.... now I have to go to bed
Exactly
yes!!
Mr. Nightmare never disappoints, I love compilation videos. All the best stories put together❤
I didnt realize how long I've been listening to mr nightmare until I realized I've heard all these stories before. We love you Mr. Nightmare!
itll be crazy to hear some of my favorites from over the years THE FIRST STORY SCARED ME SO BAD AS A KID LIKE 4 YEARS AGO AND STARTED ME ON SCARY STORY CONTENT
Some nights, when I'm trying to fall asleep I remember the last story and feel shivers down my spine every time. It was nice to see that this story freaked out Mr. Nightmare as well 😂
When I first saw that sleep paralysis one I thought it was Michael Jackson’s ghost 👻
Yay!!! I’ve been missing the longer compilations😍😍😍😍 but I will always be a fan!
I love listeting to these in the night or day time and when I go to bed I'm always anxious lol that's how addicted I am to these scary stories I listen to them from the full day.
thank you so much for your creativity and schedule lately, october is gonna be amazing!!
Such a pleasant surprise to come home from work to a new upload. These creeped me out extra hard! Great work as usual.
As someone who has experienced sleep paralysis on multiple occasions and fell victim to some incredibly unnerving, unexplainable and nightmarish scenarios, the last story gave me chills. I pray i never have to see anything like that when i inevitably experience sleep paralysis again.
