This video is sooo strong and was cared for so well. Demi was cared for in such amazing ways her therapist, life coach, and other support systems were all there with demi. They were asked if the environment was safe and she had support the entire time they filmed this video. I wanna applaud not only demi but her team for creating an environment for Demi to be able to artistically express herself about that night in a safe wY.

Like you said that took a huge amount of strength to re-enact what happened that night from the O.D. to the sexual assault. She took a taboo subject which is addiction and dragged it kicking and screaming into the light. Unfortunately our society labels and shuns people that have dependency problems. Once you are an addict, you will always have a big letter A stamped on your chest. Our society needs to learn that this problem doesn't just go away with a magic pill. It's an uphill battle that you will fight for life. My drug of choice were painkillers to start with which eventually lead to alcohol, and on occasion, Fentanyl. I have been clean and sober now since 2008 after on O.D. of my landed me in the hospital and then eventually rehab. When the E.M.T.'s got to me, I was found outside facedown in the snow. My core temp was 78 degrees. I was given a 30% chance of survival. I still have problems with vision and memory loss to this day. I hope that people see this on your channel in the hope that they will realize, what addiction really is-""Dancing with the Devil" is simply put, hell.
This song is her story and she is a true survivor ❤ I love demi and the fact tht she went through this was terrible and the fact tht she re did everything to the t had to heartbreaking for her and sad but this is her saying im awake and I've been saved I love this message and this story it shows how u shouldn't give in to those things tht are not worth ur life ........
