First of all this is the best song on the entire album and the fact that it’s describing her relationship with Q perfectly and matches with the documentary perfectly is great but when he said it gives him Frank Sinatra vibes that is very true when she was asked in an interview where did her inspiration for this album come from one of them was Frank Sinatra and another was Paris in the 1920s

She said most of her inspiration for this album was from Julie London!! She’s describing her relationship with her ex and the lyrics fits perfectly. If you haven’t watched her documentary, they show her relationship with him and how he treated her throughout it. I’m going to her show in Sept and I said the same thing, if she takes Ocean Eyes off the set list I’m going to be upset but I’m pretty sure she won’t just bc it’s her first song and she’s always sang it. Yes you guys should go and vlog it or tell us how it was !!
She did direct it too, she directs all her music videos. She likes having the control, which considering how mad crazy her life must be, I totally understand.

I had barricades/front row views of the stage and saw Billie perform this song live at Austin City Limits music festival which was her closing song and holy shittt!! I’ve seen Green Day perform Jesus of suburbia 3 times live in person during their American idiot, 21st century breakdown and hella mega tour shows and even that doesn’t quite compare to the emotion and power this song delivers when performed live! I highly recommend anyone out there if you can get the chance to see Billie live next year in 2022, please do! You will not regret it at all. I waited at ACL for 12 hours in the sun (mainly since she was the headliner) and I don’t regret a single second of it at all haha
Oh yeah she also did play ocean eyes 😂 don’t worry she will always have that on the setlist especially since that’s the song that started it all and made her famous
