She almost died from overdose in 2018 she was saved on time. She wrote this song 4 days before it happened.

*I struggle with Depression & Anxiety (anxiety is soooo bad I don’t leave the house. Except for hospital/Dr’s appointments for my knees that dislocate up to 40x a day at it’s worse. Doing a bit better though/my ankle post op/migraines & depression & anxiety issues) and I cry EVERY TIME I listen to this. Because I feel like this on my bad days!! Her voice is STUNNING too. To see/hear her cry is sad.*

A P I have my family. I am under an anxiety specialist. Was under a great guy who came to me and I found a LOT of benefits & started getting out a little more. Or even doing more for myself (sometimes with depression you get stuck in a rut and bed bound pretty much sadly!) but only allowed 10 sessions with him. Under a woman now but meant to go to her.... But I can’t get out the house unless it’s a really good day... I’ve been once! It’s so hard. I know I need to go. But anxiety makes you (or at least me & some people I know) terrified to leave the house. So not that easy to jump up & go there. I wish I had more mates to talk to. They all went their own directions when my knees got bad (had 36 operations. 33 on my dislocating knees. They used to dislocate all day everyday, up to 40x a day some days!) so it’s hard. Sometimes you don’t want to tell your family everything. Especially when suicidal. I’m out of that rut atm luckily. But I go in & out of dark patches. Thank you soooo much for reaching out & listening. I truly appreciate it!!
Jade Welch I’m so glad you have support, it is so so hard battling against the fears and darkness. The people I know who have to deal with mental illness are always the kindest, most empathetic creative people. Big big hearts and big big feelings to manage. Having physical pain on top of that must be so debilitating. Sending you love and strength from the ither side of the world my friend xx

Honestly Disney actors have talent but not like Demi or Miley. Yes many sing great like Sabrina carpenter and Dover Cameron but vocally Miley and Demi have such unique voices like Ariana from Nickelodeon. Also many artists can have such powerful vocals but not all have that ability to show emotion in their voices. Demi knows how to make songs powerful yet emotional, it's always strong, even when it cracks she has the voice type to make it work. She went through what she did but ppl just joked about it instead but when it was other celebs u see them cry over them. They criticize Demi but u know how many artists did the EXACT same things as her but they got praised instead. Everyone deserves to heard.

She’s an incredible vocalist. The fact that she is crying and maintaining these monster vocals is phenomenal. She’s also singing this in front of the same people who did nothing when she relapsed.

You guys should seriously check out the interview she did before going on the Grammys. She explains a lot about this song and how she wrote and recorded it within days before her overdose. Fortunately someone got to her in time and of course Grammy night was filled with its own nostalgia and emotions over KOBE BRYANT and the rest lost with him on early Sunday morning hours before the Grammys. Rip. Thanks guys. Nice Reaction. Glad Demi made it out okay, many don't. 💝

Pretty sure heroin and alcohol were her drugs of choice. From what I’ve read. This song is beautiful and being in recovery myself, really strikes a chord. I wish Demi all the best in her recovery!

Hey, I hope and pray you’re not comparing her to Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus. Demi has had so many issues in her life. Listen, don’t even know why I’m listening to this. I’m a child of Led Zeppelin to all the rockers of the world. Demi had problems since she was a young girl. This song is special to me in so many different ways. Ways that you guys have no clue about, and I hope will never know. Miley Cyrus doesn’t have a clue what this girl has gone thru, so her music doesn’t compare. Oh, what has she had? Millions, yes, starring on her own TV show? Yes, but Demi has gone thru so much more. That’s why her performance was insanely raw and beautiful. I don’t think any singer, sports star, or actor/actress deserve anything more than the guys/girls who work 3 jobs just to put food on their tables so they and their children can eat and have a roof over their heads. The song was so much more, but what she’ll get out of it will be 20 years of food and shelter over the common man’s/woman’s head. I’m sorry she had to go thru that. In my family, it’s happened, and I’m very sure it’s happened in millions of other families I wish her peace and happiness, God knows she deserves it, just like all the regular people who occupy 99% of all the other people in this world.
