    In the 1980s I worked in a Seattle guitar shop with my childhood buddy Greg. Every day teenagers came in the store to play our guitars; while dreaming of becoming heavy metal rock stars. We spent a lot of time sitting around bored and one day we came up with this idea of an instructional training course teaching teens "how to be a rock n roll star". Of course it had little to do with learning how to play; focusing more on how to look the part. NOTES: My favorite line is "reading limited" a gem from my friend Greg. Notice the price tags hanging from our guitars! We borrowed them from the store to make this video. Thankfully the owners never found out! Also note the awesome Keith Richards poster right behind us! It's one of my favorite posters.

    I love it!! That was great! I love the accent Jon! I can remember ads for crazy stuff like that.
    At first I thought it was a parody of The Crazy World of Arthur Brown. Do you remember him?
    Worth the wait as always! ❤

      Thanks Patti! I'm working on two new projects and I thought I'd post this blast from my past in the meantime! Yes, I remember the The Crazy World of Arthur Brown! My band used to play "Fire". Was it the maniacal laugh that made you think of "Fire"?

      @@pattiburton9976 I've posted some videos of my band The Britt'ns (perhaps you've already seen them). We were the first band who performed a tribute to classic rock (before that term existed). There are 5 songs in this playlist. ruclips.net/p/PLS9UftrU6PqJ-MSCfEPi8dyvDOjyA_oIP&si=Olsmi8yU18A7RCzZ

    Love your accent , you can definitely imitate any voice singing or talking ... Sounded a lot like Jagger...hows the India accent..that would be a gas John or Aussie one ...

      I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I’ve been listening to British singers and actors and comedians for so long. I can do a pretty good imitation. I’ve actually done quite a bit of voiceover work. You might enjoy this. ruclips.net/video/qI5PKF9RTCU/видео.htmlsi=hoeXcARkLjLkA1bk

      Australian accent is really difficult because I confuse it with British accent. I’m still working on it!

    Is this a commentary on a recent performance?

    • @JonBlackstone
      @JonBlackstone  2 месяца назад

      It's a parody on 80s Heavy Metal guitarists and the teenage kids who dreamed of becoming one of them. I'm intrigued by your comment. Who did you have in mind?
