- Finally got around to purchasing a car lift! This is a mayflower 4 post unit, nothing to fancy but budget friendly. This will help me finish up loose ends under the mustang and I'll probably use it as storage after that.

Can you tell me what the width is between the cables as you drive up on the ramps? I'm thinking my mirrors might hit them as I drive in.
Your rods for the hiem are wrong, the long rod connects on the upper portion of the lock lever release and the shorter rod goes on the bottom of the lever.
how much is the expected cost for restoring this car?

Ceiling is 12ft tall.

It's still holding up excellent 👌 I don't use it everyday but it hasn't gave me any issues yet. If I can remember correctly I believe I ordered it from mayflower directly.

that metal in the middle dont like,it,,its in the way to work....
The metal bar in the middle slides forward or backwards or you can just remove it.

Putting the lift all the way up in the storage position it doesn't use the locks, it instead has four large pins that go through the whole assembly.

@@danielmckenzie6858 yeah you can. The runners are the worst part. I would get them orientated in the garage first.
One thing I learned the hard way, if you’re in a cold climate, use the lightest viscosity oil. I initially got hydraulic oil 64 at orielly’s, worked good the first day, then it was like 15 degrees and it wouldn’t move my truck, changed it to the 32 and it works perfect. The instructions don’t tell you which ones to use.

@@Lillypad2727 i forgot to pull the piston out of the monster bottle jack, after that I was cooking with fire, i totally agree about the cheap safety rods, what JUNK, I going to re watch your video again, ai was much happeier when I got it working, but calling for support is a joke, you call them and get the answering machine and wonder when they call back
