Every two months for the last year I have had large amounts of blood in my urine. The first urologist I saw did a CT scan with and without contrast. No kidney stones, didn’t show any bladder tumors but did show thickening in the bladder wall. He opted not to do a cystoscopy because I didn’t have blood in my urine that day. But then he decided to refer me to a gyno urologist. I see her next week. I hope she takes this seriously.

@@djarias28hi! Yes, I had a cystoscopy and the doctor found the source of the blood in my urine. When she inserted to device to do the cystoscopy it was extremely painful and I ended up having a kidney stone partially blocking the urethra. So it was causing the pain and bleeding. I hope you are well.

I've been checked every 3 to 4 months, when it was first discovered I had surgery to remove it. After that I checked out cancer free. 6 months later it was back and doc burned it out , I guess it was with a laser. Had more chemo, another 6 weeks worth. Three months ago I checked out cancer free again. I now get another check up March 1st.

Fantastic informative video. My doctor noticed microscopic amounts of blood in my urine during my PCV ( Bus licence) medical and referred me for a Cystoscopy. This showed up 2 small areas of concern and I went into hospital for a TURBT. After what seemed a really long wait I got the all clear, no cancer. Keep up the great work on these videos. Thanks.

I love my Urologist...she is very smart...she was the only doctor that figure out I was having a reaction to the vessel chemo Tx. Hello Dr Malik love your videos. Was diagnosed with high invasive bladder cancer as well as prostate cancer. Originally did not appear I had any tumors in the muscle so we started with BCG treatment completed 2 rounds of treatment then a tumor was found with a CT scan. A cystoscopy verified it was in the muscle. From your video it sounds like my Doctors treatment was lame is on point. Doing 4-6 rounds of chemo followed by removal of both the bladder and prostate. Tolerating chemo well so far…had it today and still went to the gym but did an easy work out. To complicate matters I was also diagnosed with multiple autoimmune issues about 8 years ago. I have IGG4, autoimmune pancreatitis and kidney disease as well as diabetes but believe that was steroid induced as despite all that I’m in fairly decent shape. I get rituxin infusions for the autoimmune diseases but they all seem to be in remission. I did smoke off and on for 30 years but quit 10 years ago but was also exposed to radiation and took cyclophosphamide for awhile. Would appreciate any advice and if you think my doctor is on point.

Hey, my father also diagnosed with high grade muscle invasive bladder cancer, doctor told us to remove entire bladder and lymph node.
Father is not ready to remove bladder. Because after removing bladder there will be still complications.
So we have taken another doctor suggestion he suggested radiation and chemotherapy.
Is it right path or not.
Removing bladder is good or radiation? Please reply

    • @eagle440
      @eagle440 7 месяцев назад

Hey, I'm sorry to hear about your father. Bladder removal is certainly a major change to lifestyle. After 1 year, my father has become accustomed to the change and is able to live independently now. He also completed chemo/radiation. Ultimately, the best treatment is based upon the staging of cancer. If the doctor is suggesting removal of bladder and lymph nodes, they may be concerned about cancer spreading to other organs/tissues. I can not offer medical advice, but I certainly would listen to your doctors!

I was just diagnosed with a tumor in my bladder, so I am totally new to this world. I am 64, ,male. I had a gross hematuria about 8 months ago. My old urologist said he did not see anything, and totally discounted the CT scan that showed a tiny polyp on the lower left bladder. He said it was probably just a fold and no need to be concerned. So, 8 month later, I had a severe gross hematuria. Dark red with clots. My doctor sent me to a new urologist. He said that the previous CT, and the second bout of bleeding warranted another check. He quickly found a large polyp in the lower left bladder. I am not set up for the Scraping and biopsy in a couple weeks. I must say, this totally scares the crap out of me. I hope my tumor is the good kind. Your video was very informative and helpful. Your presentation was awesome. Thanks for the information. I wish you were my doctor.

It's important to treat EARLY and to catch bladder cancer soon. I blood in the urine Thanksgiving and couldn't get in to see a Urologist for too long, so went to Emergency as directed by my primary doctor. He even called ahead so they would be prepared to serve me; then, that same night I had an operation and was recovering in the morning. Since it was non-invasive, I have not experienced any reoccurrence, but I still get looked at every three months. As long as there is no muscle invasiveness you will be fine.

Strange, I would have thought drinking would make bladder cancer more likely other than smoking. But she's right...if you see blood in excess from anything, get help! (That's peeing, pooping, or vomiting blood) Also unexplained chronic pain.
Oh, I just thought of why drinking is less likely...by the time it gets to the bladder, the liver and kidneys have eliminated the ethanol.

So if you have a CT that shows thickening of the bladder wall, and you're in a higher risk because of smoking and a career in industrial coatings that exposes you to the majority of the chemicals you mentioned like ameines, hydrocarbons, solvents ect... Wouldn't the next step be the camera procedure you spoke about in the video to look for any small tumors, or inflamed areas of concern. I ask this because I've been dealing with a lot of the issues you mentioned with urgency, ect... along with random kidney issues, anemia of chronic disease, and an enlarged prostate. All of which an answer can not be found of why I'm having these problems, I saw a urologist and felt a bit blown off by here she checked my prostate and then just prescribed Flomax to help supposedly with prostate issue which she believed is what is causing the urinary issues. I've been poked and prodded over the past year and a half and have seen a lot of different specialists with no answers or direction, just treatment of symptoms, which none of the treatments have given much relief at all.

I just recently noticed a tiny bit of Red blood after going to the bathroom, i went right to the doctor, he performed two ultrasound imaging, urine test and thankfully there was a urologist in the same office who performed a Cystoscopy , he saw something, but said its very tiny and couldn’t see it clearly. he sent me to have a CT scan and referred me to a Specialist at NYU. i went and the Dr. confirmed it was bladder cancer. small but there. i ask him at what stage is it. and he said zero. to under one ! I’m scheduled for an operation in the hospital the end of august. he’s going to scrape it out and put a fluid inside for a hour or so i guess. I’m 64. i smoke. i have to quit. and I’m terrified , i read , and watch videos on youtube , and it’s all so complicated. I’m hoping for the best. I’m hoping it didn’t spread anywhere , the CT scan was clear everywhere else. but in my mind all thoughts run rampant 24/7. It’s supposed to be same day then i go home. follow is about a week and half later. in September! Thank you for your video ! ❤

Guess I should update my posts. Easy to forget where you made them though. I had a cystoscopy revealing a small mushroom shaped tumor. (Benign). I had surgery. Peeing went from a trickle to that of a 12 year old! Followed up with a cystoscopy again. All gone. I am going to have a final cysto and then im walking away from this adventure. Good luck with your ultrasound.@@strawberrypizza6798

It doesn't hurt at all when the doctor snakes the video camera up your pee hole either. It has warm water spurting out, so it's imperceptible. And afterwards, you'll piss like a firehose for about a week. The camera opens up the plumbing inside. But you can't do it too many times or it will damage the muscles, and then you'll have to wear diapers for the rest of your life, which, because you wear diapers, won't be very long. 🤣

I was diagnosed with muscle invasive bladder cancer at age 41. Two tumors two types of cancer. Have had chronic UTIs my whole life and that was my only symptom. I had 5 rounds of MVAC chemo and a neo bladder created Jan 7th, 2019. If you see this please tell me what my chances of reoccurrence are?? Thank you.. oh I’m also STILL having chronic UTIs in my neo bladder and none of my doctors know why.. any advice there? It’s scary because the chemo ruined my kidneys so I now also have CKD stage 3b so I’m limited in treatment options.

I had a urinary incontinence procedure done back in approx 2003 done using Durasphere injected. I was around 29 years old. I've had a lot of UTI's over the years and urinary pain. Im in my early 50s now. Im receiving results over and over that i have small amounts of blood in my urine but no infection. Lab results that were sent out of office for testing urine showed no infection or explanation. My dr didn't seem too concerned about it. My endocrinologist, who i see for a thyroid problem, told me blood in the urine always warrants investion if theirs no kidney stones, infection, etc . any thoughts??

You’ll probably never see this, but I had pink urine three times in one day. I’m a 52-year-old male. I went to the doctor within two days and on the urinalysis they didn’t find anything concerning no infection there was UA blood intact negative, but there was less than three red blood cell or whatever, so based on that, my physician said I could get further testing but he didn’t necessarily feel like I needed it. Now I’m stuck between worrying that maybe I should get checked further but hesitant asked it as in spending money when there might not be an issue so I guess my question would be is it possible to have gross hematuria then have nothing Significant show up on urinalysis

Not that I'm pro-tobacco, but have their been any objective studies finding a causal relationship between smoking and bladder cancer? Or is the correlation simply that, with no causal data?

I was on the wc every 30 minutes both day and night.. I went to the urology clinic and they put a pipe in my bladder and looked.. it hurt..... They saw some polyps.. it was malign cancer.. I went to surgery like 1 week later and then 2 more surgery to take a way thetumors and som of the bladder.. they put cystostatica directly in the bladder..
I had 30% to live and 70% to die... After some years like 5 years I was cancerfree..
But I was 33 and for the next 20 year I was afraid to get any kind of cancer back.. that fear was so hard to live with..
If I haven't gone to the urology when I did it would have killed me.... So go to the urology as soon as your bladder behaves different...
I HAD NO BLOOD and the doctor said that ifI had waited 2-3 months they wouldn't have saved me..
I had problem over one year before I went to the doctor

Lets talk about women losing interest in sex when they've reached the menopausal years, which can't be helped.Leaving us guys to live the best years of our lives, living a sexless and bitter life.I have never seen a doctor bring this conversation up on any forum.
