A lot of 2019 trends are really unclassy. I’m thinking about : - walking around in cycling shorts and athleisure in general - triple s Balenciaga shoes - banana bags - instagram fashion : you know these clothes from Fashion Nova, Pretty Little thing. It’s just too much cleavage, skin, bright neon colors, very tight cuts.
Even though I like Kim and her whole clan, I don’t think she’s classy at all. They flash their wealth not to mention their nude selfies, and in my mind it’s the epitome of un classyness
But at the same time, not every one has or wants to have a classy style 🤷🏼♀️ everyone has a different taste and you’re free to wear what you want. Anna is all about teaching elegant and classy style and not bashing other styles.
Personally, I prefer to look like a woman that’s been living in the woods since 1775 but yet I still love your videos. Though it’s not my style at all it’s still great to learn about!

Pascale Pascale Agreed. If you can hose off a shoe, don’t wear it in the real world. Here on the west coast, people even wear flip flops to work. Flip flops are for the gym shower, an hour after pedicures, and the beach. That’s it.

I'm 21. I tried every single one of these shoes because they are "trendy" "sexy" or just what's expected of a typical college girl. It wasn't until I wore what's considered "the boring classy look" that I felt like myself. So much more confidence came from it and I feel so good in my outfits now. I felt like a girl before and now I feel like a woman. Idk probably sounds so stupid but I'm happy with myself now even if it's over something as silly as shoes.

I guess what I’m saying is it seems like she has a lot of exemptions where she says one thing but does another. She says she don’t seem believe that jeans are appropriate but then certain jeans are OK in certain arenas. I think platforms are the same way and depending on what the platform she looks like what it’s paired with makes a huge difference if it’s a long ball gown I don’t see a problem with it but if you put it with a pair of shorts that looks horrible.

Agreed, I will never regret getting slides. Having said that I wear them at home and to the shops and very occasionally in the summer to town but no they're not cost "elegant" but were they designed to be? Probably not! Are they comfy and appropriate for when you're slounging around then yes. There's different shoes for different occasions! I don't know what I wore before I got slides-one of my favourite pairs of shoes! But again am I going to wear them to a classy event then obviously not... However, what is trending doesn't mean that it suits your image/ body type. If you can pull the things off and still look classy, good on you. She is allowed to have her opinion so are you. I follow most of your rules with some exceptions to fit it to my personal style and lifestyle. My favorite “rule” is as a lady to get dressed in the morning and ready to go even if you’re not going anywhere. It really makes me ready for anything thrown my way.
Yes, the ultimate! My coworker wears slides, uggs, AND crocs to the office. She gets on me for wearing heels under stripper height yet wears those daily (outside of the random heel she wears that don't last past lunch).

I wear my knock off Birkenstock sandals every day when it’s warm. 😅 I have more of a bohemian/hippie kind of style but I find these videos interesting.
Birkenstock sandals are my favorite when its warm in summer. They are comfortable, I can walk like to the moon and back with them.....and I feel much more elegant than in sandals, my feet squeeze out because the sole is like non-existant.... 😂
You should do a high society "fragrance type smell"? Like what they wear to smell good without killing everyone in the room. A perfume that leaves 20ft of trail to me is not elegant; but, I have known some wealthy people to wear some. Tresor, for example, is too strong especially if not applied with a light hand. Can you also talk about hygiene in general, like making sure our hair is maintained based on texture, so it doesn't get dingy. I know we have dry shampoo; but, it does not cover everything after like 4 weeks.

A I shop everywhere. High and low end. Nordstrom and Nordstrom rack have blessed me with some of my most comfy shoes, especially heels. I also shop online. I wear 4” and lower as I’m 5ft 11”. Some of my fav brands are Ivanka Trump, Badgley Mischka , Nine West and Payless for my sneakers.
I say...save these sexy shoes & boots for the bedroom!!:))) I like to keep it classy in public and do not like to stand out at all with something that is too trendy or too sexy. I don’t care what anyone else wears;) BTW you are so pretty! Thanks for the information about footwear:)
I always wear platform shoes, but not extremely high ones, because they are super comfy to walk on. I can't walk on heels without platform, they hurt so badly

I agree with everything except the “very high heel “ mainly because it’s the simplest of silhouette it’s sleek it elongated the leg and can be multi styled. The other styles are trendy ... it is all about styling though . You can take a more flamboyant piece and style it with something simple and classic and it still be elegant and refined .
I hate when OLD LADIES complain about the chunky sneaker trend like the triple s. If I seen my mother in them I would be mortified, but they are meant for the younger demographic that is more edgy.
honestly the type of shoe you wear has nothing to do with anyone taking you seriously or not. if you have an attitude, you will be taken seriously, whether youre wearing a "classy, ladylike" shoe or triple s's. i prefer triple s right now, im 19 and my style is quite edgy and street wear - like. maybe in 10 years i will be completely opposite and decide to wear lady like heels and dress that way too. still has nothing to do with how people will treat me. the only difference might be the type of men/women i will attract.

If you walk around the street that’s streetwear which is a different thing. They are fashion shoes not for important interactions. I just subscribed. Born and raised in Texas plus being in the military. No one in my area dresses classy. Even going out is gravitated more into the trashy look. Honesty at it's best... I am glad you made this video . I was so repulsed by all these so- called TRENDY shoes, I kept thinking I'm very old- fashioned ( read "boring"). Glad to know that I have an elegant style sense ..
I agree with everything except the platform shoes. Some do come across as trashy, but I like a simple suede platform heel or an open toed platform sandal, as I tend to love wearing wider cuffed slacks, a-la Katherine Hepburn style. The platform heel typically has a roomier toe area, and along with the opened toed sandals, both are much kinder to my left foot's outer 2 toes, which I've managed to break twice in my lifetime (once while cross country running, and the second time with an unfortunate encounter in the dark with a leg of my bed). My toes have never been the same and can't handle the tighter toed, less stable heels as they cramp up horribly in less than 2 hours. Also, I like the "heftier" look with those pants, as I feel everything else (except maybe boots) gets swallowed up or overwhelmed by the style of the pants. My mother taught me early on to stick with timeless, simple styled clothing, as classics never go out of style. She also taught me that if I wanted to do trends, do it with one "trendy" accessory per outfit. And, most of all, invest in quality items that are comfortable. She taught me well. 💕 Your videos follow along the same ideas. Thank you for the reminders.
I agree with the heels part but starting from the slides till the balanciaga shoes, it may not be classy and elegant BUT its what we call “Street Style”. More towards casual comfort and street style. Cos hell im not gonna wear heels or any type of heels whether short ones or high ones for the whole day with them giving me blisters all over. I prefer casual and comfort. And it works for every outfit like jeans, dresses, shorts, skirts, etc. Very versatile.

Okay I'm gonna say, this was in my recommended, I had no idea why and the title got me kind of mad because I felt like it was a judgemental, so I clicked and the first couple seconds I was still bothered but I kept watching to see what it's about. It's not at all a way to divide women, all she is doing is giving advice on what shoes not to wear for those women who do want to look classy. She's not telling you what to wear. Wear whatever you want, in the end what she's saying is right, all these shoe trends aren't classy and for those that are bothered you know it too and are probably secretley upset that you aren't. FINALLY SOMEONE SAID THE TRUTH!!!! I'm entering the stores and there's everywhere the same pair of shoes, there's no uniqueness anymore! The thing is that they promote the trendy 'shoes' or else... monstrous creations and everyone is trapped in buying those things. I thought I was getting paranoid when I was thinking that 'damn, those square shoes remind me of penguins' or that 'okay can we just stop with the tractor effect... like yesterday'. Nowadays, the stores lack from good fashion sense, and it's sad, because if we go decades back, there were quite the incredible and unique pieces in each clothing shop. Aka: instead of getting better with time, the fashion industry lost sense and is following the vision of I need to design something bizarre, unusual, super attention seeking (that should actually enter an art museum), instead of providing people with quality, elegant and flattering clothing. The direction is lost. They should re-purpose their clothing scheme. I miss the days in which shops used to have different pieces, and you didn't know what to expect..

I agree with her in terms of “not classy shoes”. However, the way she’s expressing herself is not the best and it makes her look (slightly) rude. But she’s right about every shoe, they’re not classy. If you’re trying to look professional you should opt for different shoes, if you’re on holidays wear whatever you want (even if it means wearing FILA’s sneakers)

I think platforms are the same way and depending on what the platform she looks like what it’s paired with makes a huge difference if it’s a long ball gown I don’t see a problem with it but if you put it with a pair of shorts that looks horrible.

Agreed, I will never regret getting slides. Having said that I wear them at home and to the shops and very occasionally in the summer to town but no they're not cost "elegant" but were they designed to be? Probably not! Are they comfy and appropriate for when you're slounging around then yes. There's different shoes for different occasions! I don't know what I wore before I got slides-one of my favourite pairs of shoes! But again am I going to wear them to a classy event then obviously not... People don't understand the point of this video at all. You can be sexy and elegant at the same time. YES you dress however you want to. However, what is trending doesn't mean that it suits your image/ body type. If you can pull the things off and still look classy, good on you.

Speaking of Balenciaga, I was just cut off in the parking lot of the pet store a few days ago, and the lady that got out of said vehicle (a super flashy detailed Lexus SUV..yawn) was wearing some Balenciaga chunky sneakers with tight, logo-covered clothing...tacky behaviour and tacky outfit to match (okay, maybe it's a tad judgemental..but really though..)

You should do a high society "fragrance type smell"? Like what they wear to smell good without killing everyone in the room. A perfume that leaves 20ft of trail to me is not elegant; but, I have known some wealthy people to wear some. Tresor, for example, is too strong especially if not applied with a light hand. Can you also talk about hygiene in general, like making sure our hair is maintained based on texture, so it doesn't get dingy. I know we have dry shampoo; but, it does not cover everything after like 4 weeks.

A I shop everywhere. High and low end. Nordstrom and Nordstrom rack have blessed me with some of my most comfy shoes, especially heels. I also shop online. I wear 4” and lower as I’m 5ft 11”. Some of my fav brands are Ivanka Trump, Badgley Mischka , Nine West and Payless for my sneakers.

I agree with everything except the “very high heel “ mainly because it’s the simplest of silhouette it’s sleek it elongated the leg and can be multi styled. The other styles are trendy ... it is all about styling though . You can take a more flamboyant piece and style it with something simple and classic and it still be elegant and refined .

honestly the type of shoe you wear has nothing to do with anyone taking you seriously or not. if you have an attitude, you will be taken seriously, whether youre wearing a "classy, ladylike" shoe or triple s's. i prefer triple s right now, im 19 and my style is quite edgy and street wear - like. maybe in 10 years i will be completely opposite and decide to wear lady like heels and dress that way too. still has nothing to do with how people will treat me. the only difference might be the type of men/women i will attract.

I've always had problems picking out shoes 🤦🏽♀️ I just threw out ALL of my cheap and dated shoes now I'm looking for quality comfort and classy.
I agree with everything except the platform shoes. Some do come across as trashy, but I like a simple suede platform heel or an open toed platform sandal, as I tend to love wearing wider cuffed slacks, a-la Katherine Hepburn style. The platform heel typically has a roomier toe area, and along with the opened toed sandals, both are much kinder to my left foot's outer 2 toes, which I've managed to break twice in my lifetime (once while cross country running, and the second time with an unfortunate encounter in the dark with a leg of my bed). My toes have never been the same and can't handle the tighter toed, less stable heels as they cramp up horribly in less than 2 hours. Also, I like the "heftier" look with those pants, as I feel everything else (except maybe boots) gets swallowed up or overwhelmed by the style of the pants.
My mother taught me early on to stick with timeless, simple styled clothing, as classics never go out of style. She also taught me that if I wanted to do trends, do it with one "trendy" accessory per outfit. And, most of all, invest in quality items that are comfortable. She taught me well. 💕 Your videos follow along the same ideas. Thank you for the reminders.
I agree with the heels part but starting from the slides till the balanciaga shoes, it may not be classy and elegant BUT its what we call “Street Style”. More towards casual comfort and street style. Cos hell im not gonna wear heels or any type of heels whether short ones or high ones for the whole day with them giving me blisters all over. I prefer casual and comfort. And it works for every outfit like jeans, dresses, shorts, skirts, etc. Very versatile.

Okay I'm gonna say, this was in my recommended, I had no idea why and the title got me kind of mad because I felt like it was a judgemental, so I clicked and the first couple seconds I was still bothered but I kept watching to see what it's about. It's not at all a way to divide women, all she is doing is giving advice on what shoes not to wear for those women who do want to look classy. She's not telling you what to wear. Wear whatever you want, in the end what she's saying is right, all these shoe trends aren't classy and for those that are bothered you know it too and are probably secretley upset that you aren't. There's no other reason to be bothered because she's not telling calling those who do wear this ugly. If anything she just might say she doesn't like these tends and she's allowed to have her own taste and say that. If you wanna get offended by it, it sounds like a personal problem. FINALLY SOMEONE SAID THE TRUTH!!!! I'm entering the stores and there's everywhere the same pair of shoes, there's no uniqueness anymore! The thing is that they promote the trendy 'shoes' or else... monstrous creations and everyone is trapped in buying those things. I thought I was getting paranoid when I was thinking that 'damn, those square shoes remind me of penguins' or that 'okay can we just stop with the tractor effect... like yesterday'. Nowadays, the stores lack from good fashion sense, and it's sad, because if we go decades back, there were quite the incredible and unique pieces in each clothing shop.
Aka: instead of getting better with time, the fashion industry lost sense and is following the vision of I need to design something bizarre, unusual, super attention seeking (that should actually enter an art museum), instead of providing people with quality, elegant and flattering clothing. The direction is lost. They should re-purpose their clothing scheme. I miss the days in which shops used to have different pieces, and you didn't know what to expect..

I agree with her in terms of “not classy shoes”. However, the way she’s expressing herself is not the best and it makes her look (slightly) rude.
But she’s right about every shoe, they’re not classy. If you’re trying to look professional you should opt for different shoes, if you’re on holidays wear whatever you want (even if it means wearing FILA’s sneakers)
