- By the brilliant composer, Vangelis, is the unforgettable Love Theme from Blade Runner. I could listen to this song everyday and never get tired of it, and relating this to the nights in NYC (and elsewhere) seems just right!
They played this song in Sydney airport last year just before I took off back home people fell silent and listened to it, it was truly unbelievable

Such a beautiful song, isn’t it? I wanna just go back in time 22 years ago and let this song play in the background while I gaze at the WTC towers glistening beautifully in the crispy-cool night in the New York City skyline.
To make a great film you need to have some great music ! This is a master piece.
Is a beautiful theme of love, where the Compositor express all their sensibility and feelings that surges between the encounter of a couple. The melody is sweet and give us an idea respect to the thiongs that surges during this encounter, Magnific piece of a musical compound.
This song is classic.
Even though it sounds depressing, it's still poignant and leaves me with a happy feeling inside.
It gives me hope that there will be greater days to come, while also telling me there have been many memories I hold near and dear.
First time I hear someone connecting this lovely piece with depression!? It always reminded me of love and wonderful memories from childhood.

I love this theme da most sensual song I've ever heard
I was barely 13 when Blade Runner came out and it was one of those films that really mesmerized me as a kid and I actually had the soundtrack. I guess you would say I was either a big nerd back then or just a kid with a very old soul.

I cannot explain it but I just think the same as you. Everyday when my wife and me finished our daily job in the night before leaving I used to play this music. So he notices it was the time to stop working. But above all.. what a inusual coincidence... everytime I listen this song (I never get tired to listen it) I imagine EXACTLY THE SAME PICTURES OF CITIES IN THE NIGHT!!!! I love cityscape scenes like this, especially the night time scenes! It's fun just imagining all the adventure there is to find out among all those city lights. And the music by Vangelis goes perfectly with these thoughts!

Just watched it last night for the third time. Couldn't believe I forgot about this track. This is such a beautiful, haunting melody. It reminds me of the past, even though the film takes place in the near future.

When our country mates the Greeks, still knew how to create wonders! I once had the privilege of sitting right behind him, listening to him composing, while at a festivity held in Athens at the Panathenian stadium (where the first modern Olympic games took place back in 1896) in late '90s. Greece wanted to use that spectacle for advertising purposes, and get the 2004 Olympic games for her self (...which of course she did at the end!) Even over there, the guy was simply a magician of music! Vangeli (in Greek language when you call someone in first person you never put the "S" as an ending)....YOU ARE THE GREATEST! Everlasting love from your eternal motherland...Greece!

The many versions of heard of this song on RUclips are all good, but this is the best one, but also the one you hear in the original movie, most on youtube are a bit sharp compared to this one.

I saw blade runner when it first became out in Cambridge with a couple of my friends. I still to this day watch the film periodically as for me the best film of all time. Really dark and provocative in thought and mind. Perfect acting throughout based on Philip K Dicks novel I dream of electric sheep of which I have read. The musical score to the film is evocative and sublime. Crazy as it is I have all variations of the film on dvd and as said earlier for me cannot be surpassed

What amazing about this song is the melody never ever being old even past 30 years ago. If you listen to it, your image can be matched to current situation, when you are yougstar, got married, had a first baby, being grand parents.
