Nice to see these areas, Barrett! I feel that Korea is, as a destination for western (but especially American) travelers what Japan was 10 or 15 years ago. What is your take? You mentioned also that things were a bit less expensive in Japan. Why do you think that might be? (I think it is because Korea is trying VERY hard to attract western visitors.)
I think that’s about right. Korea is only a recent destination for a lot of Westerners but it does seem to be increasing. Both Japan and Korea are trying hard to attract Western visitors for sure, and I think both will continue to grow in popularity as a destination.
Prices in Korea seemed to be a little higher than before. It’s possibly due to the weak yen or maybe because it’s difficult to raise prices for Japanese consumers, I’m not sure. I think prices in a lot of countries have risen recently though.
