korea has the most expensive beef in the world

Actually no. Hanwoo is about $20~30 per 100gm. Australian Wagyu is about $15~20. Japanese Wagyu can be $30~50. As I said above, if you'd had it, you'd know where you're spending money.

where's the hanwoo beef process, just label the wagyu beef with a korean name

Why not buy cheap new human and food safe stainless steel chain mail glove for butcher or shop assistant to wear on left hand, to hold the meat steady while chopping the meat with cleaver to result business financial damages in paying worker's injury compensation ($200,000 to million dollars) due to lawsuits? Loss of money for insurance companies to pay disablement claim ($200,000 to million dollars) causing insurance company's bosses who is homie with F&B industry bosses not happy. Business max productivity and profits to hire cheaper, younger, less brave, and less skilled butchers to cut meat.

No, to be precise, texture and concept of wagyu is a copy of hanwoo. Japanese were 'prohibited' to eat meat until 1872, and rarely ate beef until mid 20th century. Wagyu is a hybrid of various foreign cattles which includes hanwoo.

Yakiniku(burnt meat) itself is a direct translation of bulgogi(fire meat), presented by zainichi Koreans during early 20th century. Before that, Japanese didn't have meat culture, only ate buckwheat noodles and fish cakes

i am sure the Beef was imported from south america , they sell it for a expensive price in a shiki micky location as if the cows were raised in Korea. Imagine buying Beef from South america for a KG price of 6 Dollars and served in a Korean Restaurant for 30 Dollars , technically 500 % Profit .

Ah nope, Hanwoo is indigenous Beef prized for its flavour and tenderness. People don't pay higher fee simply because it's served in a fancy restaurant. And it's illegal to pass imported beef as Hanwoo. And if you had it, you'd know the difference.

@@missplainjane3905 depends on a person's taste. Wagyu has higher fat content and more tender, Hanwoo has beefier flavor but need a bit more chew.
