Thanks so much Brother Avery 😜. Felt awesome to get Big Girl out again. I took an 8s break after tweaking my back again recently. The brace pins did absolutely Epic!!! Can't thank you and Mitch enough for pushing the limits of possibility with these Beasts 😍. So grateful for everything you and your pops are doing. 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Thanks so much Brother 😜!!!! Super impressed with your bumper supports 👍. Great design with the perfect amount of flex and rigidity to absorb to absorb nasty direct hits. 🍻😎💪👊👊
👀 Your 8S rigs are getting better and better every session! 💪 What an awesome resource for the community and the manufacturer too! I am sure M2C comes up with similar shock caps like they do for the 6S rigs. They are awesome, so much less rebound effect. 👍👍 What a crazy ramp setup that was 👀 😘😘😘
Thanks so much dear Kimberly 😍. It's been a joy experimenting with this awesome platform 🤗. Huge thanks to Mitch and Avery for their masterful expertise to push the absolute limits in performance and durability 💪. It's a matter of time before they offer ZRS 8s shock caps. Big thanks to Ian for his ramp engineering skills and wonderful BBQ grill skills too 😱🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Rich have u ever considered the xlx2 1100kv setup? I know they had some issues initially, but I just switched to that setup from a max5/980kv combo after the max5 smoked. I'm absolutely loving it, everything runs cooler from the batts to connectors to ESC, and it's faster. Running 30/39 now vs 32/39. I think the Castle system is just more efficient vs HW. Data logging is super cool to look at too!
Yes indeed Brother 👊. My neighbor is running that setup and it hauls ass 👀. I certainly might try it sometime, only turn off is price. Definitely seems very efficient. Appreciate the detailed feedback 👊. Cool temps, connectors ... etc...are a win win with big power 😎💪👊👊
Awesome Rich love your vids man. YOU and Eric are the reason for a shelf of m2ced arrmas and few others in our garage and daily fun in the yard. I've struggled to get nice air control with the 800kv and hatchett xs or lockups duratrax, stock tires were ok . I've dropped in the leopard 58113 1050kv and man this is an awesome smooth solution with excellent in air control with belted lighter tires. 32/39 , 50 degrees at end of pack, no dogging. Hobbystar is more difficult to come by , leopard was same price. Thanks again for all your inspirations, in my mind you and Eric should have more subscribers than any other rc channelist 👍❣👌😎
Thanks so much Brother 😜. I've heard great feedback about the Leo 1050 and mixed feedback with the HW 800 👍. So many potential combos and gearing setups to choose from. Happy to hear yours is so smooth 👌. My 5898 isn't bad, just feels kind stiff or notchy during subtle corrections. Truly appreciate the kind words Brother. Bash on 🍻😎💪👊👊
I love that Truck, so many things you can do with it, it's a total beast mode RC. Arrma got it right for the builders. Great video, awesome handling of that thing; Just like butter in your bands.
Thanks so much Harry 🤗. ARRMA took on a huge project with the 8s line and did an incredible job 😍. Such an original design with incredible detail in the engineering. Dropping a proper 1/5 system in along with upgrades just takes it to another level. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Thanks so much Brother John 😜. Had such a great time at the lake!!! Big Girl was due for a overhaul no question 🤗. Glad I got the bulkhead and mount sorted out. Got a lot of use out the stocker, but things got squirrelly with that busted hinge pin and stripped D block 😱🤣🤣. No more Sidewinder action. Can't wait to hook up again Bro!!!! 🍻😎💪👊👊
Another amazing session Bro Rich! 8s Beast is bulletproof tank out there man. Can't appreciate M2C enough for their dedication taken the bashing game to extreme level. Another awesome group bash brother as always. Totally agree with you about the leopard motor. It's got the power but can't beat the Hobbystar for overall value. I've replaced mine with the Hobbystar 850kv. Stay well and bash on brother
Thanks so much Brother Chris 😜!!!! You were right about the lack of smoothness with the Leopard 👍. Lots of power, just rough on the starts and throttle/brake inputs. I tried everything adjusting the settings, but still felt notchy and difficult to control. HUGE thanks to Mitch and Avery for transforming such a Killer platform 😍. Can't wait to see your Hobbystar 850 👀. Stuck at work right now 😝. So many great affordable power options with Hobbystar!!! 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Awesome videos!! Trying to build the kraton 1/5 exb the right way from the start. I'm getting the truck next week for my birthday, super pumped!! With the Hobbystar 850kv what is the best esc set up and a solid servo? Appreciate your help!
Thanks so much Chris 😜. Yeah Ian's idea for the ramp was bold, but worked Killer 😱. Makeshift engineering to the max. Those alloy I-beams are strong with proper bracing. Tell your little guy I said hi 🤗 🍻😎💪👊👊
That's awesome Pete 😱. Yeah my 980 got damaged and was on backorder when I opted for the Leo 5898. It still runs, but the endbell is stripped and leads got yanked out of the casing pretty badly. Shouldn't happen again unless I wreck nose first into a 500lb boulder again 😂
@@richduperbash2966 lol you definitely put that motor on the map compared to hobbywing and castle...i love it. And i haven't practiced air control yet so i won't be sending Betsy near boulders anytime soon lol
Wow you guys are all such high level drivers, it's great to see how well you time the jumps and action! It's funny how much fun the huge rigs are, these things are so drivable though and I think the control is what makes them so enjoyable, a big rig that is hard to handle wouldn't be a good thing at all. Thanks Rich for sharing your set-up with us, I appreciate the tips and help understanding your configuration. Take care mate.
Thanks so much Brother 🤗. I always hope some of the set-up info proves helpful to others. So much trial and error experimenting with these rigs. Never imagined I'd love the larger scale trucks 2 years ago 😍. Such a different experience. Shout out to my buddies for another awesome group session!!!! The food was the real highlight 😋😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 I know for a very long time now I've always looked out for your videos that explain your set-ups, it sure is a great resource and gets me very close to the configuration I need. There are some obvious differences due to all the extra parts you run from m2c and the like, but in general they are pretty close. My k8s is very well m2c endowed, but not to the extent of driveshafts and brace ends, but all the underpinnings are upgraded, I'm still running the original shock rod and piston upgrade, before they went to the new size shock rods. I've been waiting for the local shops to get the heavy duty camber links and tie rod ends, but, they are always out of stock. At least in the last 5 runs or so I haven't broken anything major, just a bolt on the steering, which was an easy fix. If I could sort out a few more things it would be near perfect. Have you ever worked out a way of removing the slop in the servo saver, I've got the m2c support, but the mud guard doesn't hold it all very well? Thank you for taking your time to reply, it really means a lot to me, it must be such a huge responsibility for you and we are very grateful for you sharing your time and efforts with us all.
@@jonowillmer thanks so very much my friend 🍻. That's awesome to hear your K8s is dialed in with the underpinnings 👌. That's truly the key to customizing.... finding out what you need for your terrain and bashing style 😍. That's part of the reason I didn't go full beefcake build early on with my EXB. I took the upgrade as I go (as needed) approach. I will say the EXB shocks and camber links (rear especially) were massive upgrades 💪. Lucked out and found a set at my LHS I'm finally putting on my O8s. PS.... you also need the inside EXB pivot balls ARA330747 to make the EXB composite ball cup ends fit ARA330744. You might consider ordering the ARRMA HD EXB 8s servo saver spring. It definitely helps take some slop out of the saver assembly itself. I hear ya on the mudguard area. These heavy ass rigs absolutely need a saver, but there's gotta be a better way to lock that puppy down. There's inherent play in the current design no question. 🍻
I always love seeing you fly the 8s rigs. M2c always pays attention to the fine details that can make all the difference like the pins.love the hr caps might have to get a set myself. I've looked into some different leopard motors but the wait alotta times is crazy coming straight from CZ. I've had several hobbystar motors now and love them. Thanks for another awesome bash video man 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
Thanks so much Nick 😜. Mitch and Avery are more than willing to take our suggestions for different upgrade options 😍. Their new CNC machines have literally opened the floodgates for steel goodies!!! The hardened brace pins + 7075 brace ends are perfect for hardcore bashing 💪. I was busting stock ends and bending pins basically every bash until now. Love the Hobbystar motors too Brother!!! Really appreciate the kind words as always. 🚀🚀🍻😎💪👊👊
The important thing is to fly higher and higher haha, great video my friend 😜😜🤘🤘😁👊That big girl is always a thrill to see her fly over the mountains🚀. Great organized ramp wow, it was perfect, super run and super launch 💪💪 Good job brother Rich 🏆😁👊
Thanks so much Brother David 😜. Had such a great time with awesome friends and delicious food 😱🥰🥰. Ian's ramp set-up is a Blast!!!! Happy to have my 840kv 34/34 set-up borrowed from my RTR 😍. Decided to simplify and focus on my EXB 8s and O8s. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Awesome session Rich!! Liked seeing two different tire and motor set ups in one video 👌 I thought the stock EXB tires were better than the Proline. I couldn't really tell any difference between the motors, they both looked great. Love your buddies ramp set up 🤣 An I beam with some plywood strapped across two trucks!
Thanks so much Brother Aaron 😜. I'll admit I like swapping tires and set-ups 🤗. The Prolines are brutally fast with incredible control. Just not that forgiving on really tattered or gravelly terrain. Still love both options. The EXB 8s tires balloon like Crazy, but that's actually helpful in potted rocky sketch spots. Both motors are very powerful and worthy, just harder to do corrections and subtle, smooth throttle changes with the Leo. Ian is a gifted engineer with his ramp set-ups and even custom CNC parts 👀🍻😎💪👊👊
Sorry so late to the vid bro! Internet has been down due to lightening and brutal storms here!😝 Great overview, setup and upgrades of the 8s Kraton bro! I'm tying the Hobbystar 980kv soon in my Outcast 8s with 33/39. Hopefully the temps will be okay. Been sitting on that motor forever!😆 Killer rips on all the natural terrain and gravel pile sends! I can tell the 840kv gave her that fast correction response compared to the Leo! Love the action with the guys! Always entertaining! Nice Sendit session at the end!😎🤘🚀🚀👊👊
Thanks so much Brother Eric 😜. So sorry about the storms and lightening. That's some seriously scary stuff, especially with it knocking your power out 👀. I literally just ordered a replacement for my damaged 980 😂. Unfortunately my 840 is making a clicking noise and I don't think it's the bearings. Pulling it apart tomorrow to check the rotor and magnets. 33/39 should work out nice with solid connections and good packs 👍. She's got killer mid-range and top end 😍. I really love both motors with the right gearing. Thanks so much for the kind words Brother. So glad the brutal heat has let up here near Sacramento 😍. Hopefully we'll finally get some rain again. It's literally bone dry here 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Thank you so much dear Brother 😍. Highest honor possible coming from you Thomas 🥰🥰🤗. So very appreciated my friend. Hope the weather holds and all is well!!! 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Bro, you’ve gotta have “the most perfect dialed in” suspension set up on the planet to jump an Arrma 8s rig that high and not snap an arm or bend the shock shafts. Even if those are M2C shafts, or RPM arms, it doesn’t matter, those 8s rigs are so flipping heavy. You are a God, I must bow 🙇♂️ to you and learn all your mighty ninja skills. 🥷 🥷
Thanks so much Brother Mike 🤗. I'll be dropping your fans on Big Girl if needed, but she's running great with this setup 👌. Keep up the awesome work my friend!!!! 🍻😎💪👊👊
The BBQ was John's idea and it was a Blast Brother 😱!!!! Definitely gotta hook up again soon Bro. Ian's ramp set-up is fun as heck too 🚀. We're hoping to do another one once it cools off. Let me know when you want to hook up. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Rich you R my favorite R/C RUclipsr by far. Thanks for all your videos and advice👍. -m2c is what helps keep my Mojave speed-basher alive. I do keep breaking diff pins into 3 pieces though even on thin oils?!
Thanks so much Brother 🤗. Truly appreciate the kind words. M2C is a blessing for harder bashing 😍. Not sure if you've tried using Mugen Seiki E0206 planetary shims. I use them in all my RTR/standard diffs. For V4-V5, simply replace the existing ones with them. I think the wider diameter does a better job of supporting the entire gear surface and pin. The gears have less room to rock in the cup under rotational force. I keep the stock external outdrive shims. Some guys use hardened drill blanks or order pins from McMaster Carr. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 -always😁 I will try those shims now. Have not had planetary gear issue but, if these shims save pins I will do it. So awesome having world class bashers like you to talk to😁, Thanks again for the support bro👍😎
Always in awe watching you fly them things around man! You need to make your way to Long Beach on October 24th for the Beach Bash event dude! People usually bring big ramps and get huge air, its freakin awesome. Would love to see you send them rigs there!
Thanks so much Brother 😜!!!! I'd love to make a trip down south 😍. I'm off that weekend, but it's our anniversary and my wife would probably ramp up a honey do list from hell if I went 😂
Rich I just bought the hot racing caps last night so do I fill them to the top screw it on then bleed excess or?? Thanks for all this info I'm building my exb kraton 8s exactly the same as yours. Rock on king of bash!
I use Hobbystar brutal torque 70kg 6912 servos. Just need the larger ARRMA servo support and you have to shorten the servo saver set screw about 3-4mm to fully close the servo saver assembly. See my older Kraton 8s EXB build video 🤗 a.co/d/d06IYud ruclips.net/video/C2fdZqxBRkU/видео.htmlsi=4rYxcxH5Sn--2WbC
Thanks so much John 🤗. The Prolines are fantastic tires 👌. Super fast with incredible control. Just get a bit bouncy compared to stock on rocky and really rough terrain. Ballooning helps smooth out nasty, pitted up landscape. There's no perfect tire for every terrain and taste. I like to keep switching off between 4 different tires. Still love the Duratrax belted and Outcast 8s Backflips 😍. They all have unique handling and qualities. 🍻
Recently new sub here and have been watching some of your past videos. Really enjoy how much your enthusiasm comes across. Genuine fun 🤟. Can you share what your black plastic ramps are? They look like they might be the cheap skate ramps I see on Amazon, or maybe something automotive but I can't tell. They're in most of the videos I've watched so far so they seem like they're pretty stout and a worthy investment. Thanks!
Thanks so much Andy 🤗. I bought those about 3 years ago from Discountramps.com. Unfortunately, I think they've been discontinued. They pop up on Walmarts online store, but I haven't seen them available in almost 2 years now. These have nice curve for only being about a foot tall and are quite durable. Mine are starting to take a beating with the heavy 8s rigs 😂. I haven't found a comparable replacement anywhere online. Here's a link to what I'm using. They were on sale for 100$ for 2 at the time. www.walmart.com/ip/2-Pack-Skateboard-BMX-Freestyle-Ramp-to-Ramp-Launch-Bundle/37532850

Awsome rig. About to put a max 5 and 1100 kv hobbywing set up on my 8s kraton. What pinion and spur gear ratio should I use. Love your content btw. Bash on bro.
Thanks so much Michael 🤗. Think I ran 30/47 gearing with good results when I ran the HW 5687 1100 in mine years back 🤔. Really depends largely on wheel size, desired speed, and driving style. I honestly prefer the 56112 size motors in the heavier Kraton. They have far more torque with better heat efficiency. Lots of great motors out there, but the Hobbystar 840 and 980kv are the best I've ran for price and performance. 🍻
I have a kraton 6s. Just installed some m2c shock towers and chassis braces along with a radical rc bash bar. What weight shock oil should I run for big air?
I usually stick with 80 weight M2C pistons and ZRS bladderless set-up. You can experiment with heavier of course, but I wouldn't go any lighter personally. 🤗
Excellent video! I just put the HR caps on my rears as someone landed badly and bent my M2C 7mm rear shock shafts. Can you tell me your thought on droop vs no droop for jumping? I'm considering switching to the RPM rears but will have to give up the droop screws. Thanks.
Thanks Howard 🤗. Damn that takes a hard hit to bend those shafts 👀. Might send M2C a picture to see if they can help. I still prefer running stock arms with droop screws personally. Got some RPM rears months ago, but really don't like the design very much. Hopefully they do a V2 mold with a droop screw option. Actually busted a front RPM arm my second bash with them, but it was a brutal hit, flail landing onto a 3 foot drainage pipe from probably 30 feet up 😂. These trucks are massive and have to be landed somewhat cleanly. 😎💪👊👊
I spy factory rear arms instead of the RPM ones. I have been having some issues with the RPM ones bending near the sway bar mounting location did you experience the same? Loving my K8S EXB with the Castle 800KV setup I just had to gear down to 34P/39S because I was going thermal so well see how it goes. Full M2C'd out and loving the TANK!
So awesome to hear Steven 😱. Stoked we have so many stout upgrade and power options now. Really hoping RPM will do a redesign with their arms. I'm fine running stockers, but have broken a few fronts from nasty hits. Hope you get your temps sorted. 😎💪👊👊
@@joshherrman3201 I just changed the pinion today. Waiting on some steering rack screws as I have broken one twice now. I’m hoping it will help with heat, trying to find a good fan setup too. I’ll let you know once I get a chance to run her.
@@joshherrman3201 39/39 is really tall gearing for 1100kv. I'd drop atleast 5+ teeth on the pinion. Should still have plenty of top speed with far less strain on the electronics.
Hey Rich, I was looking on M2C’s site today at 8S upgrades and I noticed it said the 7mm shock shafts wouldn’t fit the EXB. Any idea what the deal is with that?
awesome footage. how do you locate the areas you bash in? do you just drive around and find a spot? I tried doing that but i see no trespassing signs or sometimes i dont want any hassle etc.
Thank you Robert 🤗. Yeah no trespassing signs are a bummer. If you see construction crews, doesn't hurt to ask the foreman if it's ok to bash away from the work zones. I've had guys give me their blessing on the spot. Just depends really. Finding open spots can be challenging. I do my share of driving around for potential areas. Google Earth maps is a great way to scout potential areas in your region. 🍻

Holy crap 😱. Long time no talk Brother!!! Been wondering if you were still bashing. The K8s EXB is an awesome rig. Just have to keep her size in mind. She's a Beast with proper power 👀. I'd recommend the Hobbystar 56112 980kv and Max5 with around 32/39 gearing. She's definitely durable. Better with M2C chassis, but can still take a hammering. I know these 8s rigs quite well. Don't hesitate if you need any tips. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving too. 😎💪👊👊
No doubt Brother 😜. This was my buddy John's idea and it was a Blast!!!! My only regret later was not using some sunscreen 😱. Definitely having another burger bash soon. 🍻

@@richduperbash2966 one last question and let me preface it by saying based on your videos and advice, I put a max 8 combo plus a ton of m2c stuff while trugifing it and it is f'n awesome! That being said, What pinion are you running?
@@richduperbash2966 good to hear😎 Nice vid, that’s what I call air control 💪🏻 Q? You use the Hobbystar 800kv right and max5? Why do some use the 1100kv and max6? I don’t get it. Thx..

And awesome hint on the shocks I’ve just rebuilt mine and I hate trying to get those bladders seated perfect. We now have an m2c distributor here in Aussie. Great service and super quick delivery.
Hey Lucas 🤗. My 980 Hobbystar was damaged (stripped endbell and badly stretched wire harness). Figured I'd try the Leo 5898 because the 980 was on backorder at the time. The stock shock bladders become displaced even when sealed properly 😝. Eventually, M2C will likely offer an 8s cap option too. Ed with Eastern RC is such a great guy!!!! @@Captinfun101 I really like the 56112 size motors for raw power 💪. Only issue is clearance from the steering rack. If you have a bracing failure, the rack can hit the motor endbell with front chassis flex. Ideally, a 56-58mm diameter motor with 100-110mm total length max would be perfect. 800-1100kv is still the best range IMO.
@@richduperbash2966 yeh I had to shave my original one down from hitting before I even ran it. But I found the exb aluminium one in my kraton and a gpm one in my outcast , both are more of a straight design and clear with ease. Great vid as per usual & I’ve asked this question 🙋♂️ 4 times brother, how in the hell do you & your fellow bashers managers are to land rubber side down all the time ??? 🤗
Thanks so much Joey 🤗. Rubber side down takes practice with air control and corrections 👍. Subtle changes with throttle and brake are key. Keeping the rigs tuned is critical for solid control. 🍻
I just add a couple black rubber O rings on the shock shaft under the pistons so my pistons aren't slamming the shock cartridge on the inside. Not the classic form of droop setting of course. Some guys use limiting straps or wires. It's a bummer RPM didn't design a spot for actual droop screws in their mold. 😎💪👊👊
How ya like the Leppard compared to the 980 32/39? I know its hard to tell on video , but the truck looks a lot meaner and faster in your video 1st running the Prolines .
I definitely like the Hobbystar 980kv 56112 over the Leopard in the heavier K8s. The Leo is really better suited in the Outcast 8s. The Leo is a strong motor, but it's not very smooth for subtle corrections and the rear endbell isn't as sturdily built with the smaller screws. 😎💪👊👊
I hate to bother ya with questions you get asked im guessing on a daily basis. I appreciate ya taking the time to reply ! I've learned alot from watching your videos , especially on the 5th scale rigs . " trying" to learn what I can without bothering ya too much 😅 thanks again brother ! @@richduperbash2966 well I pulled the trigger man . Videos really do NOT do this thing justice lol I can't get over how massive everything is ! @@maxspl153 you'll probably be ok with 34/39. If necessary, you can run 8s Backflips instead of the heavier Copperhead 2's. I'd just run it and check temps. If you break 160F or notice any cogging, drop down to 32 or run smaller wheels 🍻
It isn't easy to be totally honest. Takes lots of heat. Kevin Talbot did a similar repair some time ago on video. There's a flat plate on the esc under the cup with a small hole the cup mates into. I cut out some of the epoxy prior to soldering and used Gorilla epoxy to fill around the cup once I did the repair. In a nutshell, I tinned the bottom of the cup with solder (with cup upside down on the table). The trick is finding or fabbing a circular solder tip about the same size/diameter as the cup. I grinded down a blunt solder tip that would fill the ESC cup. I basically super heated the cup and pressed downwards until the cup sunk into position and resoldered to the ESC plate. Took me 3 tries before I felt satisfied the cup had good contact and wasn't going to come loose again.
Hey Rich , have you vented belted 8s tires like the sixpacks? I've got water in mine...not sure if it's the best thing to do but pretty inevitable I guess... Thanks again !
I like the 8s Backflips overall. They're not too heavy and handle great. For bigger power, I also like the belted Duratrax Six Pack X's and Lockups X's. They can sometimes snap the stock dogbone pins, but that hasn't been an issue with the M2C overkill shafts. 😎💪👊👊
I might sometime, but these rigs move killer on 8s with the right electronics, tuning, and gearing. I've learned there's only so much power you can get to the ground, and wasted power usually means blown tires and drivetrain problems.
Yes indeed 👍. The HR caps have an O ring instead. This is a bladderless "emulsion" style setup. Eliminates the bounce back effect caused by a bladder for better dampening. 🍻
@@richduperbash2966 ohh that’s why i installed already the HR caps with the original bladders and liquid a little bit! im touching the shocks and is a little wet
I have one more question for you. I’ve been reading the forums and some people of FB and a lot of people say the 1100kv is better than the 800kv. Is that true? Will the 800kv get hotter? I have a max5 800kv. I’m going to be running it in a K8s exb. I don’t wanna run it if it’s not gonna be a good set up.
Either motor is a good option. Just have to get the gearing right for good speeds and acceptable temps. I'd recommend 1/1 gearing with the 800kv. 34/34 has worked great with my Hobbystar 840kv. 1100kv works well with around 30/39 gearing. Tire choice obviously makes a difference with final gearing and performance. Use a temp gun to check temps, but anything below 150-160F is still safe. 🍻
@@freddieparrydrums it's worth considering. I love both platforms, but the 6s is easier to tote around...etc.... and I feel like it's a must have for all around bashing, skateparks, dirt, street, wherever.
The HR caps should spin right on 🤔. The EXB and RTR 8s use the same shock bodies and stock plastic caps. My guess is there's a slight variance in the thread tolerances. HR normally has tight quality control with their upgrades.
The shock shafts get overstressed and bend if you run heavier oils in these heavy rigs. I've long since switched to running full silicone ear plugs in the center diff with great results. I use Rite Aid brand premium ear plugs and carefully pack about 1.25 plugs bit by bit into the diff. Make sure not to over pack the diff. Leave room for the planetary gear when closing the diff. It's absolutely essential the diff closes 100% flush with all gears fully engaged. Otherwise you'll have gear lockup and frustration.
Thanks so much Brother 😜. It's fun as heck!!!! Just have to take your time and build up your control and confidence. Rubber side down is the goal. Lot easier on the wallet too. 😎💪👊👊
I've since switched to all Silicone ear plugs. It works great Brad. Just be certain to leave enough space for the planetary gear when closing up the diff. If it's not fully seated, the gears won't be properly meshed. I use Rite Aid brand premium soft. Probably closer to 1.5 plugs. 🍻
Metallica playing in your hone town Bro 😎 Fuck I’m jealous. Send em over here. I need my youngest to experience that chaos. The last tour they planned here was canceled 😞 Sorry every time I hear of Sacramento I think of the Dupper 😊
We've had some killer lineups here in SacTown 😱. I've seen Metallica live atleast 6 times back in the day. Caught them with Guns and Roses once 🍻. Grew up in the San Jose area and got spoiled with Lollapalooza and stacked cards decades ago before the kids 😂. Last show I saw locally was Foreigner with the wifey. Had a great time at a smaller venue 😍. They were tight and on point 🍻
Yes indeed 😍. It's simply on a different level for size, power, handling, and overall capability. I've truly come to love my upgraded XMaxx, but it's too different to compare to the K8s really. The lighter weight gives it the edge for larger scale skatepark action no question. Both are great trucks once dressed and upgraded properly. 😎💪👊👊
Hey, Rich, awesome video. I took advantage of the horizon sale and got a kraton 8s. I want castle creations xlx2 800kv. Should I go with another setup? I'm loving castle products
Thanks so much David 🤗. Huge Congrats on your new K8s!!! I can't steer you away from the Castle 800 XLX2 setup. It's insanely powerful with the right gearing and wheels. That said, there's cheaper options like Hobbystar 56112 840 and 980kv that are fantastic too paired with a Max5. The XLX2 has had several reported fires 👀. That's something to think about anyways. 😎💪👊👊
@@davidchennellsjr.6799 they're great mixed use tires. The belted HP's are much lighter than previous. I'm about to try the MX57's. They have much more aggressive tread and also weigh about 680g per wheel. Same size and rim as the HP Masher X's.
M2c should just make their own rollers just complete beef rollers ready for electronics and tires.
Agreed but then they’d also have to manufacture links and shocks and all that.
@gedrickwilson that's where they need to partner with Arrma, Losi, tekno, etc. But I'm in. I would buy one
EXB by M2C I’m buyin that all day long
Killer session! You handle that thing like a 3s on the ground and a 8s in the sky! Love it! Thanks for torturing the parts!

Bash on 🍻😎💪👊👊
Hey Bro, what esc are you running with your Leopard 58113 1050kv? @bashaz
Super fun time at the lake bro! Definitely make it happen again soon 🙂. You Definitely put in the work with the 8s rigs 👊🤜

What’s going on bro love the vid as usual and that truck to truck jump setup is an awesome idea. Be safe brother my little guy says hi.
Thanks so much Chris 😜. Yeah Ian's idea for the ramp was bold, but worked Killer 😱. Makeshift engineering to the max. Those alloy I-beams are strong with proper bracing. Tell your little guy I said hi 🤗 🍻😎💪👊👊

things an absolute beast
To answer your question...hell yea lol love the max 5 980 34/39 in my kraton. Thanks for the great videos Rich!
Oh snap, Rich is back!
Yeah I've been on a wrenching and maintenance hiatus 🤗. Also jacked my back pretty good. Getting better each day. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 thank you so much Mate! I'll definitely be checking this all out. You're a lifesaver, I really do appreciate it!!!
Thanks so much Nick 😜. Mitch and Avery are more than willing to take our suggestions for different upgrade options 😍. Their new CNC machines have literally opened the floodgates for steel goodies!!!

Great rig and beyond blast bash.
Do you have a complete build list?
Thanks Brother 🤗. I need to add a build list in my vid description. 🍻
Nice bash rich a Joy to watch your liking the stock tires over the proline ?

I usually stick with 80 weight M2C pistons and ZRS bladderless set-up. You can experiment with heavier of course, but I wouldn't go any lighter personally. 🤗

Where you get the motor Mount from? Nice setup.
Thanks Brother 🤗. That's the stock ARRMA 8s EXB mount with 56 series motor slide. M2C Racing also makes a fantastic 7075 T6 motor mount. 😎💪👊👊
Who come you dropped back to the 1100 over I think you had the 780 ? And is that why to are down to 30 tooth pinion? I am on 800 with 39/39 .
Very valuable test team member as well. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 cool . I also meant to ask what size can you prefer in those massive rigs ? Both seemed impressive runs to me. Looked like temps were ok as well . I’m wondering how my temps will go now we’re coming into summer here. Keep on with the awesome footage . Thanks.
I´m saving up my money since july to have 1.500 in December for my own kraton 8s exb, but I´m not quite sure yet which electrics I should buy... Do you have a list of your parts which I can simply copy and paste for my basket? :D
Thanks so much Zaraki 🤗. Deciding on electronics can be tough with so many solid options available. I'll try and add a parts list to the vid description. The biggest upgrade for the K8s EXB is an M2C chassis no question. It's a pretty tough rig out of the box. I'll link you to the M2C website. 🍻m2cracing.net/60-arrma-8s-kraton-exb

@@zarakikenpachi820 here's a link to RCJuice. They carry the Hobbystar brand. Rocket motors seem very similar and may come from the same manufacturer 🤔.
Harder basher gamer 😁
hey rich, how do u set your droop when using the rpm arms in the front? thanks
@@maxspl153 you'll probably be ok with 34/39. If necessary, you can run 8s Backflips instead of the heavier Copperhead 2's. I'd just run it and check temps. If you break 160F or notice any cogging, drop down to 32 or run smaller wheels 🍻
How did you solder the cup on your max5? Did you remove the gel/ glue stuff around it, what's underneath, 10awg wires?

What’s your favorite tire set up with this truck I just bought the rtr version gonna m2c it over time
I like the 8s Backflips overall. They're not too heavy and handle great. For bigger power, I also like the belted Duratrax Six Pack X's and Lockups X's. They can sometimes snap the stock dogbone pins, but that hasn't been an issue with the M2C overkill shafts. 😎💪👊👊
Thanks so much man I have the x maxx also and this thing stock is just beef I can’t believe the size on some of this stuff haha that’s what she said
Hey Rich. How come you never run the K8 on 10s or 12s?
I might sometime, but these rigs move killer on 8s with the right electronics, tuning, and gearing. I've learned there's only so much power you can get to the ground, and wasted power usually means blown tires and drivetrain problems.
brotha a question! if you put Hot racing caps you can remove the original red bladders?

Hey brother do the hot racing emulsion caps not fit on the exb shock bodies. Mine won't screw on? Or is it a fluke
The HR caps should spin right on 🤔. The EXB and RTR 8s use the same shock bodies and stock plastic caps. My guess is there's a slight variance in the thread tolerances. HR normally has tight quality control with their upgrades.

Why so low on shock wt. Stock is 55w. And. Did u put ear plugs on both sides of the center diff. Wen u said half 20mil & half plugs.

Jumping that everyone enjoys is so cool👍💢, I want to jump too, brother😎🚀🚀🍺🍺
Thanks so much Brother 😜. It's fun as heck!!!! Just have to take your time and build up your control and confidence. Rubber side down is the goal. Lot easier on the wallet too. 😎💪👊👊
For the center diff you have half and half, I'm guessing 2 ear plugs and the rest 20 million?
I've since switched to all Silicone ear plugs. It works great Brad. Just be certain to leave enough space for the planetary gear when closing up the diff. If it's not fully seated, the gears won't be properly meshed. I use Rite Aid brand premium soft. Probably closer to 1.5 plugs. 🍻
