To be fair Djibril Cisse is 40 yo and he suffered two of the worst injuries in football history or any sport history it’s a miracle he even returned and still play at his age and after that. Haaland’s dad suffered same injury once and couldn’t return due to psychological trauma. Props to Cissé

@@guusvanleeuwen5717 Well, I actually think his PSV carreer was his peak. I, and a lot of other hungarians are dissappointed in him for going to Mahacsakala and later to the UAE just for the money, when he was pretty wanted by quite decent european clubs as well.

The quote from Morten Gamst Pedersen is one of the best things to come out of a footballers mouth, a man who obviously feels that being able to do what he loves the most is a true blessing should be an inspiration to youngsters. Good work Fella!!!
Its low-hanging fruit picking players in their late 30s who have decided to drop down rather than retire. Cisse, Pavlyuchenko and Pedersen all played at the top level until their early-mid 30s.
If you ever do this again, Kevin Großkreutz should be in there, since he plays 6th tier Tus Bövinghausen these days, which is pretty remarkable for a 32 year old World Cup winner.
There’s always a player part of every World Cup winners squad or runners up squad who were a bit shit. Marek Hamsik in Sweden’s top flight deserves an honorable mention although it’s only on a short-term deal. His team IFK Gothenburg is at the bottom half at the table with only 1 win in 7 games. We’re shocked about it here in Sweden!
One of my favorite players of all time and I would have loved to see the full potential of his talent is Hatem Ben Arfa. He could have been one of the greatest players ever.

It's a lot of fun when you get the chance to play with or against a pro footballer. On a coaching course in Australia I had to play a midfield small sided game against Durrante (Wellington Phoenix), Cristiano and Travis Dodd (both Adelaide United). It was 2 v 3 and I was part of the two. Me and my team-mate had a combined age of 100 vs 3 A- league players. I'm not sure it was fair but it was a good laugh.

Fun fact: Panathinaikos' team with Cisse is the only team that after having zero wins in the first three games, finished top of their Champions League group(higher than Mourinho's Inter). Cisse wasn't even the biggest name of the team. Gilberto Silva was. They had a suprisingly good team that year. But when your transfer rumours for panther of Cisse in attack included Falcao, Lewandowski and Govou. Video idea: Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team if all eligible player decided to play for them. I know it would be a bit controversial, but nevertheless 😀
Ahmed Musa's problem is age. He's not actually 28 as most african footballers us footballer age to stay long in professional footballer. I know this coz I trained with Musa for some time at Liverpool Na'íbawa kano when he came from Jos to Kano for the first time for trial at Kano Pillars FC in 2009, and then he was older than me as I know. DAY 7
The Story of South Africa's Post Apartheid 1996 AFCON winning National Football Team
Hernan Barcos deserves a video of his own because he has 4 national team caps where he played alongside Messi and also played for Sporting CP 29 times in 2 seasons & played in china ended up in Bangladesh. currently playing in Peru
I don't know that anyone will watch this comment or not but if anyone sees it, I would appreciate a upvote to push this comment higher so we can actually see a video about Hernan Barcos
I'm glad you discovered the hidden Gem that is African football
7 leagues that might be created/merged in the future
Iberian League (Spain + Portugal)
Scandinavian League (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland)
Balt League (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania)
Alp League (Switzerland + Austria)
Catalonia League (if they will go independent)
Greater Premier League (with Rangers, Celtic, and other Scottish clubs in Championship, League One, League Two)
Balkan League (well at some point when people will forget about all those wars after Yugoslavia split)
this video is just a blast of early 2000s peak premier league
If you make this video 3 years ago, you would find Michael Essien in Persib Bandung, Indonesian League.
