Same here. I don't have time to just endlessly grind, so adjusting theses settings helped me out a lot! Sometimes I like to just relax, catch some pals and build stuff. Lets my brain rest, but gives me a sense of exploring as well.
Yeah I figured this out within a day or 2 and changed it to the lower settings, right now I'm stuck on trying to balance damage from/to pals and damage to/from players but unfortunately this is another video skipping over damage settings.
Definitely nice that you can see the stats in real time as you switch difficulty settings, to get an idea of the effect of a slider before using it. Personally give a small 50-60% boost to XP and gathering, reduce massive egg incubation time to 2 hours(1 hour if you make the egg comfortable), and remove drops on death(I'm already annoyed for getting killed, and there are thousands of resources to recraft gear, so it's a waste to run back).
Thanks for this! I'm a casual type player and not really big on survival games I just want to experience the pals and have fun building bases. If I knew these options existed I would've got the game so much sooner!!
Ummm... Nobody sane will wait for those things. Just play the game or don't. No reason to change these settings as there are sooo many things to see and do in this game that you never have to just "wait" for something to happen or stay in the production line pressing F 😂😂😂😂😂😂 whatever you are doing, you are doing it EXTREMELY wrong buddy.

This video helped me so much thank you i was struggling with farming world bosses for legendary schematics and found out that somehow damage to player had gotten turned up to 4x
Yeah I had to turn that down to 2.5z I want it to be a challenge not borderline impossible lol. I was dealing with the same thing I had to be like level 15 with 3 level 15 pals just to beat a level 10 grizzbolt 🤣 I gave it an honest try on default hard settings and like you said you just die repeatedly because 4x damage is insane. Make sure your damage output is okay too. If your dmg was on 4x then it probably slid over to hard before you went into custom settings. Player damage on default hard is dropped down to like .6 I changed it to 1 cuz I don’t agree with games doing that to increase the difficulty lol. I don’t mind a boss with a ton of health but I want my moneys worth out of those schematics lol.
The only reason I currently have my solo world on no drops is because I've fallen through the world multiple times. Even loaded into the game under the map several times.
Little tip for the player and pal hunger sliders: If you fill your feed bags with food that raises attack or defense you probably want those sliders set to 1 or higher to make sure the buffs stay active.
Played 20 hours on hard solo, but it just got too tedious constantly walking back after getting 1 shot by something random. i Played everything from all fromsoft games and nioh games, so i know what a harder game can be like, but at some points it just felt like a big waste of time, but putting damage from 4x to 2x and increasing some settings from 0,8 to 1 made it more balanced while still being able to easily die. a Normal+ or Hard Light i would say
I was looking for hosted dedicated server settings but this answered my questions about whether or not the game supported less than 1 as a decimal such as ".1"
I've recently changed it to no drops cause I couldn't get my stuff back after I've died which led me to restart all over again :/ but I'm slowly catching back up from before and I got an epic crossbow and I've gotten a work increase pendant again so both of those were neat
The pal appearance rate isn't for spawning. It's how many spawn in a herd. So if you have it at 3 you will have 3x as many wild pals. Along with bosses.
The Pal spawn setting can add a bit more difficulty because it also effects the boss spawns so setting to 2 you will have for example 2 legendaries to battle at the same time or four for the one battle.
Is that why even after making bow and arrow my damage to mammoth was just 1. I wasted so many arrow later came to know they were doing much damage just 1.
Each to his own but to me whats the challenge and anticipation? I wouldnt enjoy the ability to just fight until i die and try again without there being any risks involved.

Im usually the same way about death penalty. I like dying in games and if its too easy i ger bored. Strangly i play this on no penalty. I still die all the tine. i Iuse it to farm. Ill mine metal then kill myself and spawn back at home. Or coal or sulfur
I rented a server and all drop is on by default. At first we played local so everyone was going "man we need to change that" but i didnt and that was the right call. It adds a fun extra element to keep the extra loadout handy to go and attempt recovery.
Sometimes it glitches make sure to go back and switch it get in game log out and put it back to 0 mine is at 0 and all I do is hold down the bottom for like 3 second to hatch with all my eggs!.
This game must be hardcore, using a tier 4 gold assault rifle against the first raid boss on hard. Im doing 10 damage and she has like 380k hp 😂 so i put my damage multiplier up to x5 and im doing 18 damage at best?? Does this game not scale enemies/bosses down to how many players are present? How am i suppose to platinum the game as a solo 🤔 i try fight blazamut ryu solo, 500k+ hp my purple rpg does 125 damage on x5? I done like 60-100k damage against him in 10 minutes of solid fighting and i used over 300 rockets, 600 granade laucher rounds and 4k assualt rifle. Costs a bomb and takes agaes to get a tablet to summon it. My pals have ivs over 90 in all stats, theyve been fully upgrade, stats around 1.5k+ and theyre absolutely useless and hardly attack or do any worth while damage contribution before dying. I have no clue how i beat these end game bosses at this rate?

For the gatherble health multiplier you don’t get more stuff from it just disappear faster/slower you always get 120.

Unless it is set lower than 1. Then it gathers less but it is still that much faster. At least that is my understanding of it anyway

1.9 pal appearance rate will make sure you get extra mobs but not extra bosses. If you want duplicate bosses then set it to two.

Level up fast and you will never worry about raids. In fact, raids give you free material and easily xp.

On Xbox, I have to have no drops on death because the ground goes away all the time.

First check if your pc is clean, dust can heavily affect your performance.

I have my egg timer on zero but it still has a timer albeit a short one but still idk why that is

I'm here because my incubation time is 32 hours at 100% hatching speed😭 I think my world is on normal
From future me- YOU HAD YOUR WOLRD ON HARD MODE THIS WHOLE TIME💀 soo that's explains why I get one shot by everything and incubations take forever
