Funniest thing is, they lose their sanity the fastest and even with all positive trait you will catch them slacking every few minutes. 😂 gotta love having depresso in your base just as a laugh.
@@TropsPlays I wouldn't mind seeing further testing on transporting as well, for fun if nothing else. Particularly, I'd like to see how a Mimog stacks against the level 1s with it's insane speed
Amazing video Trops. Hats off to how much work went into setting up the test bench almost 50 times. As you showcased with the Alpha test "Reach" makes up a huge difference when it comes to transporting short distances. I put a chest by every production bench so my knocklem can just sit there and spin on the spot to unload whatever is being produced. as far as your travel distance tests, i think carrying speed would normalize on a longer run between origin and chest. Something like the edge of the base to the palbox would probably stratify pals closer to their DB value as reach would account for less of the total travel distance. the last piece to consider is passives. For the WS3 Transporters Vanwyrm is only behind Faleris by 3 seconds but being that it is a dark pal it wont need to run the Nocturnal passive and instead can pick up 10% extra movement speed from Nimble. In short runs like these it might not make up the difference in reach, but it is going to cut down on the already slim margin. the WS1 results reinforce my choice of Celray as my starter transporter. You can catch them super early and given that they also have Watering they seem like the natural pair to Tanzee to stabilize food production during the first ~20 levels.
Thanks man. It wasn't that bad, could have been worse. I also have chests at every production so the transporting is super fast, I didn't want to do the test line too long as it would be very boring to watch so I thought this was a sweet spot. I think everyone uses chests near the productions so I didn't think it would be useful to have the chest far away as it wouldn't be realistic to a base design. I only did no passives to keep it fair and I wasn't getting the best passives on all the pals as that would of been insanely time consuming. Yeah Celaray is amazing at the start, 1 of my favourites by far.
@@TropsPlays I only alt tabbed to the video to see which pal won, I'm at work so I can't be watching anything, I left it in the background while working!
Bonus points to Birb as if you are stacking farms 4 high then Falaris can just fly over the top of them where other pals seem to get stuck on the sides/back at times when needing to deposit. Swapped transporting pals to Birb and no more pathing issues!
@TropsPlays just tried adding walls on the corners and back of the stacks and sure enough it makes the pathing better! More bonus points for birb:they can still fly over the walls XD
One thing I noticed in my own transport testing is how hit boxes affect transport. If the hit box for the items, and storage both touch the pal at the same time it makes the transport task complete instantly, and it resets the pals task availability instantly too. So a mine, plantation, or furnace with a box right next to it will be able to handle thousands of items within a few minutes no matter what pal does it. Another thing to note is that pals can pick up items regardless of obstacles. Even the random things under your bases foundations can be picked up, as long as a box with the corresponding item type is open for then to store it in.
If Knocklem and Faleris are the king and queen, then Vanwyrm is the prince. Much easier to obtain, shows considerably earlier (Level 12), and doesn't sleep because of Dark-typing. This bird is out of the sphere amazing with no passives required. It's so good it can be put in endgame bases, while Faleris and Knocklem you'll probably want at least Nocturnal on. Much more effort to get nocturnal for such a small speed gain.
Great video mate, we need more hard data like this. Quick side note, the temporal distortions you can see in these clips, particularly with the Pengullet, where there is an afterimage of movement, can be fixed by disabling DLSS.
This is so awesome and helpful btw! Would you pleade consider doing a video about this with every base skill, like for planting and watering? This video was informative, but it was also incredibly fun to see how much care and effort the devs put into giving each species personality beyond their skill levels and I'd love to see even more of that!
Yes, I've just done Kindling (comes out tomorrow), unfortunately, though I could only record every kindling pal for 10 minutes instead of 30 minutes due to having no more storage space left when I got to around 16 pals. After the update, I will be doing all the work suitability skills.
This is the kind of content I wanna see on me feed. Good job. You deserve the like. Subscribe. And comment! I see your hard work. Hope it keeps going places!
Awesome research material Also, the inconsistency with the transport speed in the database to the "real life" results might be due to the pals having different turning speeds and other small delays in the animations Keep up the good work
Yes, with the different movement speed, transporting speed, and all the other things that make them different. This is why I needed to test it because just reading the data we would neve know.
@@TropsPlays but you havent factored in how many items an Pal can carry at the same Time. Wumpo can carry up to 10 Items at once while Vanwyrm can only carry 6. Means that Wumpo have to run the same path 3 times for 30 items while Vanwyrm has to fly 5 Times.
@zordiark9673 Yes, I did. That's why there is a short test for rance, then the stacked chests. Kncoklem best for stacks, fal for rance. With the new manual, things gal is the best. You just have to increase his kindling to level 5
This is incredible. I've definitely learned that you can really optimizze a base by the selection of Pals. Even wuen the suitabilities are the same level the pals all work at different rates.
I love the aesthetics of some of the pals, but now that explains why in some tiers the resources take forever to be moved seeing how slow Cattiva and Depresso are, lol, on my fifth playthrough of the game and its always fun to see the speed growth of a base and how different the pals are inside it, seeing that they even carry at different speeds is incredibly eye opening, thank you for this! Hah, I really should just use Celeray for the first tier, that was a good pace and good to see Leezpunks speed as well. Wish I had known this like 9 months ago haha, I quite like using Quiverns in the base because of how cute they look, good to see that choice isn't much slower then the winner. What is even funnier here is the t4 Faleris is faster then the T5 Wumpo
@@TropsPlays Yeah I had no idea at all before the creation of this video even playing the game as many times as I have over the past 10ish months. Seeing it in action seems to be a lot more important then just looking directly at stats
@Goremize yes I totally agree, and the videos don't lie. The stats on a sheet can be faulty as the game changed. What are your hours played? I'm round 700 hours
@@Goremize there's always time and it's no competition, I just wanted to get an idea that's all, 300hours is still a lot for Palworld, you defo know some stuff.
Because pals have dramatically different reaches, it would be rigorous to compare at least 3 different lengths. Both stacked and unstacked. So you could find the cross over points on when to use what pal
You should place a chest next to every production you have to minimise transporting time. I did think of this, but the problem is that when it's too far away, the video would be very boring
The greater the distance would just favour the quickest already, as the slower ones will just take longer and the faster ones will beat them even faster. You still put your chests next to your wood/ore/stone mines ect, and this shows that out of every pal, one is the best with stacks. As for the ranch, this again shows no matter the distance the bird will win. An Alpha Knocklem is able to pick up and store almost without moving the most out of items dropped next to a chest. For stacked, as evidenced in this video the top 2 would still be the 1st and 2nd fastest even if it was across the entire base. And for unstacked it would be close to the same, with the birds all winning and Knocklem still being top tier when walking across the entire base.
Very good experiment. I however would have liked to see some tests with the top 3-4 against different lengths and heights. As alot of these bigger pals get stuck often, but also can cheese things like 3rd floors with their height, or stairs, whereas other pals have to use the stairs to get height etc.
5:43 Look up their run speeds sparkit has a sprint speed of 500 penglit 600 sure sparkit is faster when transporting but not when running to the object to transport.
You are correct. There run speed is different to transporting speed, that's why I created this video to see which 1 is better than the others as you can't tell by reading the data.
id love to see a follow up to this test now that the Applied Technique books are a thing. Take the winners of each catergory, use books to make them ALL lvl 5, and test from there. id also greatly appreciate a test with a single wall in between the chest and the items, to see how much path finding might screw over larger pals
Vanwyrm are amazing for transporting. You really don't need anything else, because bulk transporting thousands of items is solved by a nearby chest and/or the grappling gun. Especially for farms, where you can just build several cooking stations, leave the stuff in there and not worry about rot timers, if you don't turn them off entirely.
This is an excellent analysis. Thank you for helping us make more informed decisions. Early game Transporter and Waterer: Celeray Late game Transporter: Faleris Even though Knocklem can carry up to 80 items in a stack, how often do you see 80 items stack into one pile? You don't get that much when harvesting crop plots. Now if there were some way to make those piles of individual items collapse into a single pile, then Knocklem would take the absolute lead.
If they are left on the ground for too long, they do pile up, but it takes hours, so we don't see it happening. With the new manual things we can name make faleris lvl 5 kindling
@@TropsPlays well nobody has to, im just replying to the guy b4 me about the 80 stacks thing, not everyone is a hardcore farmer, some are more miners, and yeah, they gonna stack up a lot overtime, especially with built base pals
I remember ages ago, the rule of thumb was "whatever you use, don't use a bird", since they were much more prone to pathing anomalies and getting stuck in walls and such. It seems that they're more stable here, but, I'd still be cautious about them while you're away. That said, nocturnal pals are also worth noting, since they can clear out stacks overnight. It's easy enough to breed it into pals these days, but one less step is always nice.
yes I did a test with nocturnal vs lucky and nocturnal won by quite a lot. bird have improved a lot since then, it's the big fellas that are annoying now.
I am very thankful for this video, was curious as to who was the best. Would you be interested in testing the new foods like the French fries to see how much better they are for sanity drain? IE do they help your pals to lose 20% less SAN or whatever number. Also been very curious about the wave emitters that lessen SAN drain at your base and increase work speed. Was wanting to test them myself, but would rather watch a detailed video from someone who has proven to be thorough!
Your welcome, I'm currently doing all the electrical pals, testing new base passives and using techniqueI to increase work suitabilities, hopefully it's finished today.
This was an interesting watch. Especially with how much slower some of the Pals go when holding items. Some are understandable but others it's like they're putting way too much care with what they're holding. Rather surprising how some of the floating pals didn't do better, but I guess their steady pace is no match for the quickness of unburden pals
I'm glad you like it, I feel like doing these tests we all get to learn something new. I'm redoing this as there's new pals and I will do doing it at a further range to increase accuracy
Very cool video, thanks for the comparisons! ❤ Can totally understand why multiple distances weren't tested for time reasons, but it would be super interesting to see more applicable tests. Specifically, most pals will be either carrying mats 5 feet to a super close chest (in which case turn speed, reach, and movement delay would be more important, or they're carrying stuff halfway across the base to a main storage area, in which case run/carry speed would be the deciding factor. Having multiple data points to compare to would allow us to extrapolate a pattern to help with judging various base setups, though of course it seems falaris and knocklem are the top ones to shoot for endgame bases. Thanks for the informative video!
Seeing the Relaxaurus and Croajiro compete, speed vs reach. Makes me think that there should be varying distances to test transport speed. Relaxaurus has a longer reach, which gives it an advantage when the distance is short. Croajiro has faster moving speed while transporting so it will have an advantage when the distance is longer. I suspect Pals like Croajiro will perform better when the distances are increased.
As for the data, its probably correct. Thing is, transport speed is, once they pick up an item. While depresso drags things very slowly behind him, celeray is a lot quicker. But, theres also run speed! When a pal is empty and on the way to the item it has to pick up, transport speed doesnt matter but their run speed! Pengullet runs faster than sparkit and petalia runs slower than celeray, leading to these results. Meaning, to actually calculate teansport speed, its basicly run speed plus transport speed/2.... but not exactly in a real transport situstion either. Multiple containers. Multiple places to pick up goods, leading to uneven pathways between spent transporting and spent running. To offset that, I have many chests relativly close to the production goods and basicly the delay is the pals running between the diffrent goods. Transport speed is nearly irrelevant in a logisticly well planned base.
Yeah, I have all my chests next to productions, so when they transport, they don't even move. It's hard to do to please everyone as some people want it to be far so the pals run around making it realistic for vases that aren't set up correctly. Other want it super close. So I did in-between
The data can already be found in Palworld database, under Movement section, Transport Speed. But the real issue is transport has a lot of other factors involved. 1. Item priority - They move food that can spoil first. Stone and wood come in dead last. 2. Stack size - They can move up to 2/5/10/20/40 items per trip per point in transport. But not all items are generated in such stack sizes. 3. Run speed - They need to use Run speed to move to the items before they use Transport speed. So your base layout will greatly affect their efficiency. 4. AI - You cannot control what they transport next. They will move one stack here, then run over to the opposite side of the base to move another stack. Then go back. 5. Passives - You want movement speed passives and Nocturnal. Not having to go to sleep vastly improves their work output.
Yes, the information is already on the database, but they don't tell you which is best because it shows movement speed and then transporting speed. When you have a pal with fast transporting speed but slow movement against a pal with fast movement and slow transporting speed there is no way to know who's the fastest, which is why I created this in the 1st place. They do indeed have machanics in the game, which doesn't allow you to choose what they pick up but its still important to know which is best for bulk and rance. With more bases coming to the game we can create a new design which will allow us to choose and be more effiencent. Stack size doesn't apply to the rance, so it's all about speed. For production lines, ores, and farms, everyone will just use knocklem.
Your testing apparatus favors long reach since pickups and dropoffs are near instant, meaning the pals with better reach spend less time in a walking animation. If you had a longer walk in between the items and the drop-off, pals with longer reach would still have an advantage, but it wouldn't be so stark.
Nice tests, you should take it up a notch. There is now items that raise the work suitability, so for example you could make Anubis, Knocklem, Faleris, and a small Pal like Cattica compete against each other all with a transporting skill of 5
There is transport speed and there is running speed. Transport is only applied while transporting and run is getting to the item to be transported. TO Tdlr the winners Falris: 500 Transport and 1,000 Run speed makes it the fastest transporter by far. Knocklem 400 Transport and 550 Run speed, however with the higher transport level it picks up twice as much as falris. Anubis as an example is 480 Transport and 800 Run speed but base transport of 2, knocklem lifts 4 times more and Falris lifts twice as much.
Yeah, I know, but reading data and seeing it in action are 2 different things. We can now increase the fall to level 5 kindling, making it all round the best
Mad props for this depth of testing, was curious with these stats myself & came across your video. Curious question in regards to the lvl 1, why haven't you tested Mimog? From what the data base says he has 450 base speed in comparison to Celaray's 350? Ngl that lil guy is deceptively fast in the wild, would think he'd be best for transporting in base for a lvl 1 although he's a pain to catch.
Hello! I loved this video and will be using the information from it in my new base. However, I wanted to know if you would consider doing an updated guide, please, with some of the newer mons. Mimog was given a level one transport and he moves FAST. Unreasonably fast. He speeds up based on how far away his task is, too, which makes me wonder if it would be a contender for some of the other pals. I would love to see movement speed comparisons as well, now that the level of skills can be upgraded up to 5 on any pal. Thank you!
Yes, I'm currently doing electrical work suitability right now, but I will be recreating them all. I'm using the new Technique and the result are so surprising, you will love my next video
I kinda guessed Vanwyrm and Faleris to do well as their non-transport speeds are also really good. I didn't expect Quivern to be better than Vanwyrm. My boy has yet another use-case >8)
@Sottoth the only problem is getting the books as it's a 1% chance from the big oil rig chest and a 0.1 from all the other chests, which is a joke. You can download mods to get these easily, which I would recommend as I've looted at about 5k chests and only got 3, which took about 25/30 hours. I've been farming these since release, and I'm still nowhere near done.
@@TropsPlays Yeah, I've just watched your other video about the books, they really seem like a pain to get, but i personally don't like to change the settings nor download mods to get them easier. I respect those who do tho, to each their own and im no one to judge
@Sottoth yeah, i totally understand, I don't it, too. As a content creator, though, you see everyone's perspectives, so I like to include everything so everyone is happy. If I use a mod, it is only for these book as I need to test every pal in the game, so I really need them and fast. I'm ill because I've been spending 10 hours minimum a day just grinding, staying up late at night.
Would love to see where Mimog stacks up in this ranking. his out of transport speed gets him to items really fast and if he can get the items faster it may give him a leg up when it comes to transporting.
This is very great and helpful information. So appreciated for your time and effort testing and providing demonstrations What’s important for me are the fastest grounded transporters because I like to build my bases upward and would prefer Pals that can fit in floors that are one wall high and are nocturnal. Just about every flying Pal doesn’t fit, making me use 2-3 walls or Anubis. Do you know which top 3 Pals would best fit what I’m looking for? Thank you so much! 🙏 ❤
I will help you out with this later as I'm busy right now and don't have access to my computer, which actually has all the time they finished saved in order. I'm guessing it's Anubis as he's so fast.
im not sure now much of a difference it would make, but I wonder what the impact of the pals Speed IVs would be. you tested at level one, so perhaps none, but perhaps a level 60 max IV test would have eleminated that. I also wonder about the distance messured. some pals like faleris seem to hover for a bit once they turn around. I imagine that at longer distances, they might improve, as they would have more time to utilize the pals speed stat rsther than going from one animation of turning around to another. Super valuble info though
I will be testing this again. If you would like to see anything let me know and I will consider it. For example. Have the food far away or close. Have them pick up more items so the test is longer. Include ... ... passive skills
Great vid!!! I always wondered if choosing Faleris among the lv3 transporter as my main transporter are the right choices? Do you think a Legend/Swift/Runner/Nimble Vanwyrm will better than a Legend/Swift/Runner/Nocturnal Faleris?
That's a very good question, which I don't have the answer to YET! I will be doing every suitability test after the new update, which will include the new pals. I will test all the nocturnal pals vs. the best pals at the end to see which is better for people who don't sleep at night. If I had to guess, it would be Vanwrym would be better than Faleris but make your chests are nearby.
That's a smart move, I find my 1 orserk enough as the power never goes out. I play on 0.1 day speed and 5 nights, so I don't use nocturnal, but that passive is amazing for servers.
@@TropsPlays I play 0,2 day and 0,5 night. So Nocturnal Pals are a big plus in my game :D But amazing video, I definitely learned something new, for when I start my next game :D Are you gonna make more videos like this? Like who is the fastest level 1, 2, 3 planter, waters, smelters/cookers and so on?
@danishdude2191 Yes with 0.5, they would be very important. Thanks, man. I'm glad to hear it. Shhh, don't tell everyone, haha. I picked transport because it's a hidden mechanic when they actually pick the item up. Now you mention it, I am wondering if they actually do have different times. I will test lvl 1 kindling now just to see if the times are actually different.
@danishdude2191 I just tested kindling with foxspark and rooby, but only on 5 charcoal, and there was a difference by 2frames, which is unnoticeable by the eye. Will be doing more testing tomorrow. Thank you for the idea. I hope there are actually differences, but no one actually knew. It would be funny
@@TropsPlays That's actually is a big discovery and not something other youtubers have been around yet. The size, turn- and movespeed of the pals can also be a factor for these I think. If you have a farm/smelter or you have maybe 4 close to each other, you might not notice the difference, but if you set 4 a little further away from each other. Then suddenly many more factors plays in for which pals might be the best for each job early on. And if you have a lot to smelt/cook, then it really does matter to be efficient. Jormuntide Ignis, will properly be the best choice in the endgame for kindling as he is the only level 4 right now. But what is the best/most optimal choices from early to mid game? That is interesting I think :)
Now with the books on increasing work levels, which do you think is preferable? Maybe one that's already Dark element to work during the night? and all the movement passives? Legend, nimble, Swift, and Runner?
I will be testing them all again and the books are rare so just save them up until I finish all he testing as you don't want to waste them but yeah I think all the best pals will be dark types.
i still believe the test is missing the notion of Pathing which makes any flying pal ahead in Real base environment , props to helzephyr with darktype who can have max speed passives and still work during the night :) (+ he looks cool and isnt massive)
@TheCbugg I didn't take it as an insult, I mean I just have a lot of work to do as there was lots of content without any speech, I would like to talk more and be more enthusiastic, that's all, glad you like it.
Here's a question: What about passives? Would Serious, Work Slave, Artisan and Remarkable Craftsmanship work best for transport Pals, Or Swift, Nimble, Runner and Legendary work best? Or a mixture of both the best out of each category of Speed or Work?
in case of Vanwyrm must be its size and distance at which it picks up items. It's a big pall. I find that pal awesome in many ways except speed. Actually my main for fights.
I know you categorized Pals from Ranch and stacked but how do you apply that in game? I'm not a great base builder so is there a way to assign only a Pal to transporting Ranch items specifically? Don't they all run around the base to transport everything they can?
Unfortunately, they do just run around, you have no control over it. Some people increase there total number of bases and just have a base full of rance pals. This would help them a lot I just use 1 of each. I do believe we can increase any pals work-suitability skills now, if we can it's game changing.
I did the best for each level with rimestampsnso you can just quickly see the best, but you're right. I should include a tier list. I will when I redo all the work suitability skills.
What about a maxed Depresso using his partner skill? I know he'd have to be in the party and not the base, but maybe could be good for a fast clear up?
great video a couple things i do wonder though does movement speed matter in how fast they could transport an item and if so would the result be the same across the board or would some placements shift due to their movement speed I also am interested in how the test wold look with further distance for storage as the alpha only needed a step to put them away which defeats the point of how fast they are I understand there are multiple variables but these are just the ones I was wondering from watching the video
All pals have different transporting speeds. The test would be different if the storage was place further away but everyone should be placing there chests right next to the production as this will reduce transporting time. I'm also going to redo this test as we have more pals from feybreakcand we even have applied work suitability pals so every handling pal can become level 5 handling
Best transport all is rank 5 felaris with 3 movement speed buffs. knock is good but his problem is that he is too slow for short distances he wins but if you want good transport around the base use a felaris with nocturnal and 3 movement speed buffs. The best is legend, vampiric, swift and runner.
The thing with Faleris and Knocklem is that they are too big. I’m looking for the best transporter that can go through buildings. I’m guessing Anubis is the one?
So what passives would you want if you want to do it the best? I would think some movement speed but I could never tell if that effected speed in general or only when you ride some pals
When you say each base should have 1 transporter for ranches, and 1 for stacked items, I don't understand. Is it actually possible to delegate them to pick up specific items?
sometimes pals just start jittering on a place and all stacked items and items in the production buildings immediately gets transported to the storages
honestly think these should have been further apart. with them being so close and some pals having more reach, its not showing their speed, since they are just picking something up turning around and putting it down, knocklem hardly had to move to deposit
One thing about Lovander and Vanwyrm is they are also nocturnal, and can catchup at night if they fall behind. Also, what about Mimog? Yeah they are just level one, but boy are they fast.
I am only 7 minutes into this video, but might transport speed not be the speed while transporting and some might be quicker without transporting anything hence the difference between them? Some of them run really quick without carrying anything
Yes, they all have individual carry weight speeds which isn't looked upon, that why I made this video. I think you're right with what you said, so on paper 1 is better, but in reality, it's not.
@rincerta I'm actually doing the whole test again but with a rance and testing nocturnal pals vs Nimble pals to see the differences at the end also with the other best passives. I'm breeding them as we speak
Now if only we could actually assign them specific transporting roles But that would mean improving the game instead of making new islands they can make trailers out of
No evidence so you'd need to test to back this up, but some of the differences could be caused by work speed? It's negligible but with such a close test as this (especially in cases with exact same transport speed), if could be that lower work speed is the pause happening when they deposit the good, and with 5 trips the slightly longer delay with a lower work speed would add up. Another (maybe negligible) difference is unit size, as a smaller unit likely needs to move more of whatever their unit of measurement is-- though I'd guess this is specifically coded around and not something to worry about
I will be doing this test again, I will also do the test for longer, which would make the resting time more accurate. How far would you suggest the race be?
@TropsPlays I don't have a solid idea, may be better off just reviewing footage frame by frame to see if there's a delay gap between the ones with less work speed
@BlankTFT to test the work speed, I just have to use the same pal. 1 with 0 passives and the other with max work speed passives, then I'd easily tell. I will put this in when I test it thank you
LOL... I give Depresso mad props. He was given a task and said, "alright, I'll do it but you can't make me do it fast".
I know so many work colleagues like depresso haha

Left this video in the background because it was just really relaxing to listen to
I'm glad you liked the video/audio, so I take it you didn't watch it? (either way, I appreciate the support)
@@TropsPlays I only alt tabbed to the video to see which pal won, I'm at work so I can't be watching anything, I left it in the background while working!
@@Mazery watch out, boss is about.
Appreciate it, thank you
This is very well planned and must have taken a lot of time to do!
Amazing video, Trops
Thank you, it did take quite some time but the results are worth it
Bonus points to Birb as if you are stacking farms 4 high then Falaris can just fly over the top of them where other pals seem to get stuck on the sides/back at times when needing to deposit. Swapped transporting pals to Birb and no more pathing issues!
For stacked farms, you can just place a wall on the back, and they don't get stuck. it works for me anyway.
But yeah, birds rock
@TropsPlays just tried adding walls on the corners and back of the stacks and sure enough it makes the pathing better!
More bonus points for birb:they can still fly over the walls XD
@@TheTrueKingofScotland ohh nice man!
you truly do the best palworld guides there are!
you're too kind
One thing I noticed in my own transport testing is how hit boxes affect transport. If the hit box for the items, and storage both touch the pal at the same time it makes the transport task complete instantly, and it resets the pals task availability instantly too. So a mine, plantation, or furnace with a box right next to it will be able to handle thousands of items within a few minutes no matter what pal does it.
Another thing to note is that pals can pick up items regardless of obstacles. Even the random things under your bases foundations can be picked up, as long as a box with the corresponding item type is open for then to store it in.
Ohh brilliant
If Knocklem and Faleris are the king and queen, then Vanwyrm is the prince. Much easier to obtain, shows considerably earlier (Level 12), and doesn't sleep because of Dark-typing. This bird is out of the sphere amazing with no passives required. It's so good it can be put in endgame bases, while Faleris and Knocklem you'll probably want at least Nocturnal on. Much more effort to get nocturnal for such a small speed gain.
With the new manuals we can increase Vanwyrm to level 5 kindling, more testing coming soon!
Dude I admire you're committed to that. This must of taken a long time to do.
Yeah kinda but it's okay, knowing the information was worth it
Great video mate, we need more hard data like this.
Quick side note, the temporal distortions you can see in these clips, particularly with the Pengullet, where there is an afterimage of movement, can be fixed by disabling DLSS.
Ohh ty lol, that never used to happen. Then, an update came out a while ago, I thought it was just in the game now, haha
Wow, this is actually really good testing. You earned the like and sub for the work you put in.
Good job!
Merci! I am currently doing kindling, I won't be adding in hunger timers as that's a whole video in itself
Awesome vid, Trops! I'll make sure to rewatch this vid when I start another Palworld run! :D
Thanks man, starting fresh is so much fun, I should do a letsplay
Nice. Love that you did a proper test
You're welcome, I will be doing this test again in the future as we have more pals.
The best video to watch while you have breakfast,
learning something new about our lovely pals while you eat
Thank, I don't plan on stopping there still so much to learn and test, especially with the new update coming.
This is the kind of content I wanna see on me feed. Good job. You deserve the like. Subscribe. And comment! I see your hard work. Hope it keeps going places!
Appreciate the support!
Awesome research material
Also, the inconsistency with the transport speed in the database to the "real life" results might be due to the pals having different turning speeds and other small delays in the animations
Keep up the good work
Yes, with the different movement speed, transporting speed, and all the other things that make them different.
This is why I needed to test it because just reading the data we would neve know.
I was assuming it was transport range.
Yeah I can't wait to test them all, I'm just a little tired atm as I've been grinding the game for 11 hours for the past 3 days
Yeah, it was a shock to me also, I'm glad you like the video, and I knew not many players would know about the slow movement when carrying items.
@@TropsPlays Oh you are more then double me, only at 300 hours so far :)
@@Goremize there's always time and it's no competition, I just wanted to get an idea that's all, 300hours is still a lot for Palworld, you defo know some stuff.
Knocklem is the best! He also wakes you up and your base pals as he smashes the damn ground all the time 😮💨
I've actually never used him until now. I can't wait to hear him smash
Warsect does much the same lmao
@cryolitegem ohh no, I've never really used him either. Dam, I need to use more pals
I like using the little dog mimic. him using his max speed to get to the actual item is fun to watch. Even if he slows down when moving the item.
Lol, I can imagine 4 of them just speeding all over the place
I will be redoing this with multiple tests for the best pals.
Need i say that Mimog is insane for transporting. Hes the new transporting goat for this game
I will be testing every work suitability again, I've heard he's slow when transporting, though
@TropsPlays he is really fast. He literally zips across my base. Even faster than anubis
@oceanicstars8710 lol
5:43
Look up their run speeds sparkit has a sprint speed of 500 penglit 600 sure sparkit is faster when transporting but not when running to the object to transport.
I'm finishing up the Watering pals tests right now.
I will do this again don't worry
Vanwyrm are amazing for transporting. You really don't need anything else, because bulk transporting thousands of items is solved by a nearby chest and/or the grappling gun. Especially for farms, where you can just build several cooking stations, leave the stuff in there and not worry about rot timers, if you don't turn them off entirely.
Yeah a lot of people don't place cheap right next to there work station for some reason.
I really love this kind of content. I am a data nerd
Then you'll love my next video as I test every kindling pal, so subscribe and ring the bell so you won't miss it.
@@TropsPlays You got it!
This is an excellent analysis. Thank you for helping us make more informed decisions.
Early game Transporter and Waterer: Celeray
Late game Transporter: Faleris
Even though Knocklem can carry up to 80 items in a stack, how often do you see 80 items stack into one pile? You don't get that much when harvesting crop plots.
Now if there were some way to make those piles of individual items collapse into a single pile, then Knocklem would take the absolute lead.
If they are left on the ground for too long, they do pile up, but it takes hours, so we don't see it happening.
With the new manual things we can name make faleris lvl 5 kindling
80 stacks??
Do u have any idea how fast my ore, wood, and other deposits reached 9999? 😂
@@Adam-bc1un I'm not going to watch 9999 item get deposited, no1 wants to watch that.
That's a very good idea and I will be diving into the foods and san at a later date.
Fantastic video! Thanks for the effort!
Your welcome, I'm currently doing all the electrical pals, testing new base passives and using techniqueI to increase work suitabilities, hopefully it's finished today.
@@TropsPlays Looking forward to it!
@@Zarrus you'll be amazed when you see who the true best electricity base working pal is
Depresso and relaxaurus are mood. They both win in my heart
They sure do
This was an interesting watch.
Can totally understand why multiple distances weren't tested for time reasons, but it would be super interesting to see more applicable tests.
I will do being this again at some poi t with all the work suitabilities as of the new update.
@TropsPlays heck yes hype! 😍
Thanks for the tests.
My pleasure
Seeing the Relaxaurus and Croajiro compete, speed vs reach.
Makes me think that there should be varying distances to test transport speed.
Relaxaurus has a longer reach, which gives it an advantage when the distance is short.
Croajiro has faster moving speed while transporting so it will have an advantage when the distance is longer.
I suspect Pals like Croajiro will perform better when the distances are increased.
Yes I will be doing this again, I've just finished doing electrical generating pals, video is out later
Who's your favourite transporting Pal?
Helz just for the looks
Lovander! I love seeing this pal walking around so energetically and happily.
Helz all the way, love my dark birb
@celiovicenteribeirofilho9740 who doesn't love lovander haha
@@viniciusdragaoazul hell yeah!
Yeah, I know, but realistically, everyone should have chests right next to the productions
@TropsPlays I suppose that's true.
Nice tests, you should take it up a notch. There is now items that raise the work suitability, so for example you could make Anubis, Knocklem, Faleris, and a small Pal like Cattica compete against each other all with a transporting skill of 5
I just did that for my last video, you should give it a watch
Depresso is the occasional spirit animal of us all
This was very helpful! Thank you!
You're welcome
Depresso somehow is the best Pal. Its Paldex entry says it's a very kind Pal in spite of its looks.
He's one of the favourites for sure
Curious. Was there a raid in the middle of the experiment.
Rando NPC: Neat experiment. It would be a shame if someone were to raid
Actually, no, but I'm in a low-level area, so they would all get 1 shotted. Maybe I will get raided next time
There is transport speed and there is running speed. Transport is only applied while transporting and run is getting to the item to be transported.
TO Tdlr the winners
Falris: 500 Transport and 1,000 Run speed makes it the fastest transporter by far.
Mimog wasn't a transporting Pal when I created the video, this will be getting updated
Thanks mate, coming back to Palworld 'cause of update. Gonna restart!
Welcome back. I hope you enjoy all my videos to help you on your Palworld journey!
I kinda guessed Vanwyrm and Faleris to do well as their non-transport speeds are also really good.
I didn't expect Quivern to be better than Vanwyrm. My boy has yet another use-case >8)
Yeah Quivern surprisingly quick
Good video, great experiment, but i'll still keep my Flambelle because she looks so cute carrying items bigger than her
With the books, they are all good, which is what I love about them as we can use anything now.
@TropsPlays yeah im loving the uptade, im no longer forced to have the tier 4 pals for the jobs
@Sottoth yeah, i totally understand, I don't it, too.
Nice to see but I'll mention that both Faleris and Knocklem count as large pals so your base would have to take that into account when building.
Very true, luckily I can even use alphas as my base is all outside.
Would love to see where Mimog stacks up in this ranking. his out of transport speed gets him to items really fast and if he can get the items faster it may give him a leg up when it comes to transporting.
I will be doing this again
This is very great and helpful information. So appreciated for your time and effort testing and providing demonstrations
What’s important for me are the fastest grounded transporters because I like to build my bases upward and would prefer Pals that can fit in floors that are one wall high and are nocturnal.
I'm guessing it's Anubis as he's so fast.
the lucky sound got me
Lmao
im not sure now much of a difference it would make, but I wonder what the impact of the pals Speed IVs would be. you tested at level one, so perhaps none, but perhaps a level 60 max IV test would have eleminated that.
Holy, this makes so much sense why i used vanwyrm so much, but knowing celeray is good for early game makes me wanna try another save lol
I will be doing this again as there even more transporting pals now
I normally use Helzephyr Lux as my transporters, as it is nocturnal and can also help Orserk making electricity, when not carrying items :P
That's a smart move, I find my 1 orserk enough as the power never goes out.
I play on 0.1 day speed and 5 nights, so I don't use nocturnal, but that passive is amazing for servers.
@@TropsPlays I play 0,2 day and 0,5 night. So Nocturnal Pals are a big plus in my game :D
But amazing video, I definitely learned something new, for when I start my next game :D
Are you gonna make more videos like this?
Well I guess we know who's on clean up duty now.
The rare at the end made my blood pressure increase lol
Lmao
i still believe the test is missing the notion of Pathing which makes any flying pal ahead in Real base environment , props to helzephyr with darktype who can have max speed passives and still work during the night :) (+ he looks cool and isnt massive)
Indeed, I could add this in by creating obstacles

Movement
My man you should be a commentator for golf or tennis.
I have a lot of work to do. That was my 1st time making a video like this
@ Good job, I enjoyed it. Edit: after thinking about it a minute, I realize you took that as an insult. Not at all, your I liked your commentary.
For transporting pals, all 4 passives want to be the best movement
Breed speed knocklem seems to be itneresting, and considering how common big ones are too, we could make real transporting mosnter out of this.
Yes indeed
in the name of science, thank you XD
In the name of Trops, Thank you
in case of Vanwyrm must be its size and distance at which it picks up items. It's a big pall. I find that pal awesome in many ways except speed. Actually my main for fights.
Yh he used to be my favourite at 1 point
I know you categorized Pals from Ranch and stacked but how do you apply that in game? I'm not a great base builder so is there a way to assign only a Pal to transporting Ranch items specifically? Don't they all run around the base to transport everything they can?
Unfortunately, they do just run around, you have no control over it.
Some people increase there total number of bases and just have a base full of rance pals.
This would help them a lot
I just use 1 of each.
I do believe we can increase any pals work-suitability skills now, if we can it's game changing.
You should make a ranked list of them all with their times and level.
I did the best for each level with rimestampsnso you can just quickly see the best, but you're right. I should include a tier list.
I will when I redo all the work suitability skills.
@@TropsPlays honestly it was a good video. Timestamps were a great addition as well, just needed a wrap up recap at the end.
What about a maxed Depresso using his partner skill? I know he'd have to be in the party and not the base, but maybe could be good for a fast clear up?
Good idea I didn't think of that
great video a couple things i do wonder though
does movement speed matter in how fast they could transport an item and if so would the result be the same across the board or would some placements shift due to their movement speed
I also am interested in how the test wold look with further distance for storage as the alpha only needed a step to put them away which defeats the point of how fast they are
I understand there are multiple variables but these are just the ones I was wondering from watching the video
I will be doing all the tests again with different ranges
The thing with Faleris and Knocklem is that they are too big. I’m looking for the best transporter that can go through buildings. I’m guessing Anubis is the one?
Yeah, anubis is really good. Since the new feybreak update, a lot has changed with the game.
I will be retesting this very soon!
@@TropsPlaysthanks so much!
So what passives would you want if you want to do it the best? I would think some movement speed but I could never tell if that effected speed in general or only when you ride some pals
All movement passives
Have you tested/do you plan to test new transport pals like Tarantriss and Nyafia?
I plan on doing all them again, currently doing electric pals and testing out best passives.
Should be live tomorrow
When you say each base should have 1 transporter for ranches, and 1 for stacked items, I don't understand. Is it actually possible to delegate them to pick up specific items?
No, but if you have 1 of each, it's more effiencent than having 2 knocklems or 2 ragnahawks
sometimes pals just start jittering on a place and all stacked items and items in the production buildings immediately gets transported to the storages
Yeah, they bug out sometimes, nothing we can do about it.
honestly think these should have been further apart. with them being so close and some pals having more reach, its not showing their speed, since they are just picking something up turning around and putting it down, knocklem hardly had to move to deposit
I'm doing this again but with 3 ranges (short, medium, long)
drag speed is a modifier only covered in the wiki
Yeah I've seen it, still needed testing as with all the data we still don't know who's best
my boi Quivern at 15 sec, that's why i love that big fluffy dragon, also Incinaram still doesn't have a carry animation?
Yeah, quiverns really fast, tbh and I'm mot sure about Incineram, I don't use Incineram
@@TropsPlays incineram's decent for transport but best for mining
@venomousbook I have no idea until I complete all the tests for every skill.
@@TropsPlays i'll have to watch that one, incinaram should be good at that one, but there are better miners too
@venomousbook I know astergon is the best miner as i've compared him to blazamut already. Astergon is better because he gets a free nocturnal passive.
One thing about Lovander and Vanwyrm is they are also nocturnal, and can catchup at night if they fall behind. Also, what about Mimog? Yeah they are just level one, but boy are they fast.
Yeah, I know, I will be redoing this soon, mimog only obtained transporting in the feybreak update.
depresso is the best 💚💚
I use him when I start a new game, just to see him mining
well I know where my transport training manuals are going
I am only 7 minutes into this video, but might transport speed not be the speed while transporting and some might be quicker without transporting anything hence the difference between them? Some of them run really quick without carrying anything
Yes, they all have individual carry weight speeds which isn't looked upon, that why I made this video.
I think you're right with what you said, so on paper 1 is better, but in reality, it's not.
He sounds like the guy that makes the denim glasses.
🤣
@TropsPlays Do you also make denim glasses?
@@lancobear3544 no lmao
Should test vanwrym maxed with legend swift runner nimble vs faleris maxed with legend swift runner nocturnal for best ranch pal
Oki Iwill add this when I do it again
I will create a shorts video just for you, so because it's for rance, I will place down a rance and put a chest right outside
Also helz lux and worse for those at night the dark being awake versus not means nocturnal versus nimble.
@@TropsPlays thank you 🙏
@rincerta I'm actually doing the whole test again but with a rance and testing nocturnal pals vs Nimble pals to see the differences at the end also with the other best passives.
I'm breeding them as we speak
Did they change selene because i remember her standing in one place with items appearing and disappearing without moving?
That would of been a bug
With the new suitability books I wonder which is the best now.
I'm going to have to test them all haha
Now if only we could actually assign them specific transporting roles
But that would mean improving the game instead of making new islands they can make trailers out of
Yes in still waiting for this but it doesn't matter as you will see why iin a future video
I will put this in when I test it thank you
13:14 you caught that lucky right?
No, the video was more important to me. Besides, I have the best skill fruits/pals, so a lucky pal doesn't mean much to me
