Oh my friend...it...was...painful. I lost count after 500. If I had to guess, I'd say between 550-600. I was almost done editing the whole video before i finally got it lol. I got rich selling them, though.
Even though Fenglope is second to the last, its still my favorite mount because of the verticality it provides plus it looks majestic too. As with Jetragon, I recently breeded one that solely has for mount passives (Eternal Engine, Swift, Runner, and Legend) god daym it was so fast and you never ran out of stamina.
Using fenglope's dash move was my main way of moving on the new island before learning i can break the anti air you can cover a lot of ground if you jump off a good angled slope
Instant like & sub! This is fabulously organized and edited, props to you my good sir! I hope you have more video projects in mind, I’d love to see more!
great video man, I was actually wondering about ground mounts and did not expect to see this kind of quality from a video with barely any views. You honestly deserve a lot more so keep trying! :D
I knew Fenglope wasent the fastest but i dident think it was that slow. That being said it gets a big boost after that most ppl have been using Direhowl in the earlygame and its inability to jump over even small rocks. To then move over to a Fenglope is like "YES FINALLY I DONT HAVE TO DISMOUNT FOR EVERY LEDGE HIGHER THEN 2 FEET"
@@Symoh1 To be honest I think the best choice is Pyrin because it has the most valuable type. (Not Pyrin Noct since having the fire element attacks is much more important than dark)
@@M2JoyBoy I can see that. And I'm sure others will make a case for a different pal being the best choice. Despite its weaknesses I'm standing by the electric good boy as my favorite in the group lol
I have to ask, where is Frostallion? Frostallion can switch between being a ground and flying mount, but that still means it can be a ground mount. And also, I think personal dash skills should be taken into account.
I agree about Frostallion that it is a decent ground mount but I see it more as a Flyer than can also run on the ground, so I plan to include it in the Flying mount comparison. As for the dash skills, I didn't include them because not every pal had/has exclusive skills and I was solely focused on their base speed and utility. But I do plan to include them when I make a follow up video eventually :)
gotta love our lil roadrunner Dazemu since you can get it early and get its saddle somewhat early as well at lvl22 which is quick to get too if one where to go in a catching spree making it a very good ground mount. also going beep beep when running on sand and dirt is fun
I haven't sat down to fully analyze them yet, but my initial impressions of most of the new mounts are pretty positive. They either have high speed or strong utility. Tarantriss definitely falls into the great utility category.
@@Symoh1 in the right conditions Tarantiss can "outspeed" even Jetragon with the grapple tech - but it's situational, and technically with a hook and glider you can do just the same thing without a mount (still hella fun though).
I agree Chillet is great for combat and useful even in the late game, but it's slow. So I don't think it's functional as a main ground mount if other options are available.
As a relatively new player (a few days) I’d love to see a video like this for the flyers in this game. I’m at LvL 18 with a nitewing and don’t know what I’d even upgrade to as a new/better flyer as I progress through the game.
Yup, I plan to make one after the new patch to see what else they release. For now, I would go with Vanwyrm (21), Helzephyr/Beacon (33+), ragnahawk/faleris (37+)... Helzephyr is slower but has great stamina. Faleris is the fastest non legendary.
hey! love your dedication, can i suggest a video to explain efficienci and producvtivy(focus early, mid, and end game), and please include size pal like glitchjourmuntine, somo tips to fix this
Hi! I'm actually working on a video right now that covers some of the things you mentioned. I should have it out later this week. As for Jormuntide, I would say design the base with their size in mind. I try to keep the pal beds close to the plantations with minimal obstacles. If you do a roof/ceiling, stack 3-4 pillars first to have lots of head room. Since the game is still in early access, we'll likely have lots of weird issues like this. Hopefully they'll fix it eventually.
Great vid, I just use a Pyrin Noct for dungeons with swift, legend, musclehead and Serenity. I'd use a non alpha frostallion noct but it gets stuck on some doors and pyrin just sprints through everything
No one mentioned shadowbeak, its a relatively forgotten pal. I bred swift onto my shadow beak and its faster than my jetragon when it isn’t flying. I also 4 starred it and used iv fruits. Thoughts?
Shadowbeak's a top-tier pal for combat. Its speed is 1200, so even with all the speed passives, it can't beat jetragon's base 3300. Nothing beats jetragon in raw speed, but your choice of shadowbeak is a great one for an overall mount. It's just not on this list coz I specifically wanted to look at the ground mounts. I plan to make a flying comparison video eventually.
Interesting. I haven't done that direct comparison myself yet, so i cant say for sure but jetragon doesn't lose a lot of speed even when grounded, so I would honestly be surprised if shadowbeak beats it with just a swift and 4 stars (not sure if it gets the 20% boost). Even if it does, that makes its top speed 1800, slightly faster than Necromus. And you see the difference in the video between a Jetragon and Necromus. Every pal on the leaderboard, including jetragon, is with base speed and no speed passives.
Yes. After trying out several things, I landed on Stamina. I wanted to remove the variance of me attempting to manage the stamina bar perfectly the entire time, so I let it deplete for everyone, then sprinted as soon as it recharged. Plus it balanced out the run speed and sprint speed.
IF YOU USE FENGLOPE'S SIGNATURE ATTACK WHEN HIS STAMINA IS RUNNING, HE WILL RUN VERY FAST AND RECOVER STAMINA IN AN INSTANT, SO YOU CAN BE BACK TO RUNNING IN A FEW SECONDS, AS MENTIONED, HE ALSO HAS AN EXTREMELY HIGH JUMP, SO YOU WON'T NEED A FLYER IN YOUR TEAM UNTIL THE ENDGAME, OTHER THAN THAT, HE IS ALSO VERY STRONG, ENTERS CAVES EASY, ALPHA VERY ACCESSIBLE RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME
@Symoh1 An early base running with the best starter pals is kinda what I'm thinking. Maybe a starter combat pal team to take on the first tower boss/alpha pals, too, if possible. Ty.
Thank you! Glad you liked it. I don't know enough about web3 gaming to have an input, honestly. And I can't remember at this point how many hours specifically, but the full video took me about 6 weeks to plan, set up, and edit 😁
Not bad. Very useful information for comparison! But how do I understand that some did not make it into the list (like chillet, shroomer, arsox, mammorest, grintale etc.) because they did not even make it into the top 5 by any categorys? Unless I missed something.
Honestly, for me, speed and utility were big factors. The ones you mentioned and many others are useful in their own ways, but they're slow and don't provide great utility like Kitsun.
With the right perks shadowbeak or any flying mount would be better in most situations. Personally I would still take fenglope the majority of the game over most of these options because the double jump is very valuable early-mid game until you can mount faleris, ragnahawk, or beakhawk who can get places quick with a couple speed perks. Also while fenglope isnt faster than alot of mounts that ablilty where he can run faster somewhat makes up for it.
Great points. Shadowbeak is one of my favorite pals too. And that's why I like this game so much. There are lots of options that cater to various playstyles and preferences.
If this video was categorised into early, mid and end then why kick out Elkthideer? Early game sprint can only last so long but Elkthideer has a built in skill you can use to make it sprint again even when it's out of stamina which you completely overlooked by saying its not worth looking at. In a straight race, deer wins.
I agree, but only if that race is in a flat open area with no obstacles and no turns. And that's not good enough. The reason I called it a disappointment is because I really like Eikthyrdeer, but that giant hit box is a deal breaker for me. Hopefully, they can fix that, and this becomes a solid early game pick.
I'm not sure that's entirely true. You could use the mounts stamina for sections that require a few more turns then use the skill as a kind of nitro booster when you get to a longer straight section. The race circuit you set up had some straight sections long enough to accommodate the boost distance and honestly, when you're using a mount to get from point A to point B in game, you're gonna take the most direct route, ie the straight one, to get there. Probably why once I unlocked the ability to use Nightwing I gave up on ground mounts that are just rides. I have Mossanda and Grizzbolt in my team and although to use their weapons you need to ride them, it's because those weapons are so good they are good mounts, not because I want to get from A to B faster.
Haha, if we're going for technicalities, then 116 is still correct because that is how many you need to upgrade the pal in question. But if the question is how many of one pal you need in total to get to 4 stars, then 117 is correct 😁
