    PRO TIP(s)
You can build on top of medieval medicine tables, regular furniture benches, the heater barrel, among other things. So you can build your gardens on top of a single bench, destroy the bench and build another garden underneath it. You can go 3 high before it seems they have AI pathing issues. You can stack HQ hot springs using the medicine table, you can place your lumber yard above your stone pit and they still function the same and can be pathed to by pals.
Work speed does not affect the rate at which ranch pals give items so just condense them as high as you can and youre done.
Breed a Sibelyx, the floating ice pal in the north region early for HQ cotton, these sell for 40 each and are great passive money. A maxed Mau or Mau Crst offers between 10 or 50 gold at intervals, no multi drops but a single drop from a base Sibelyx is 40G, almost the same amount as a maxed cat can drop SOMETIMES. Starring Sibelyx increases the cap she CAN drop by 1 + * level. Wooliepops I believe sell the cotton candy for 25G so not a bad pal either early.
Selling nails is very profitable as each 2 ore is 1 bar but 1 bar is 2 nails, so turning them into nails sells for 160G each
Tocotoco is one of if not the only pal that straight up drops gunpowder
Woolipops, Digtoise, Dumud, Grintale, Flambelle, Elphidran, Mammorest, Jormuntide Ignis all drop HQ pal oil so if you need some early game, woolipops and dumud are fairly easy to get to and hunt.
You can have a pal attack an NPC (setting to aggressive) like a merchant (preferably one thats close to their level) and it wont aggro the guards onto you so you can focus on capturing the merchant as guards can accidentally kill the merchants in the crossfire (a lot like real life)
You cant build inside towns, but you can build a hanging trap super early, build it actually close enough to a Black marketeer and then build a campfire. So long as you hit them once before they die, you can get easy gold and gold keys.
Using any of the gold tips above, you can buy munitions from Green Merchants for surprisingly cheap around 120-220 depending on choice. You can find lv 10~ merchants to capture using above tip at Duneshelter in the far north desert around 355,348 or on the beach of the Volcano in the southwest of the map around -480, -745. I recommend capturing the ones near the volcano at Fisherman's point fast travel because the red merchant sells HQ pal oil here for 160G iirc.
The green merchant in the fisherman village sells you a makeshift handgun so you can get a gun early without having to pray for handgun schematic RNG from the pal sanctuary chests.
The Red merchant at fishermans point sells lettuce and tomato which can be bought for 120 each to make salad. Salad, Pizza, Chikipi Saute are some work speed buffs and they all do 30%. Salads are the earliest you have access to this buff for 2 lettuce and tomato each opposed to waiting for lv 38 for lettuce or 32 for tomato. You can make Pizza using Berries, flour, 2 tomato, and 1 milk. which also gives the same buff plus a satiety buff (get hungry less)
The Red merchant in the Small settlement is lv 30 but can sell you eggs and milk for cakes so if you have a money farm and wanna dedicate more pal slots to a different task, this is an option although Starring a Chikipi or Cow to 2* using 20 dupes, they have a chance to drop 1 or 3 which would probably start making more value opposed to an ore/hq cotton farm since you buy milk and eggs for 50 but they only sell for 5.
On PC you can move any 1 item slot regardless of weight by opening the storage holding left click to drag it, but pushing tab closes it out and its still "attached" to your cursor. Run to another chest without it weighing you down and you can store it in another chest or into your own inventory so you can fast travel by Tab to open your inventory and then left clicking or letting go ot it onto an empty slot. (you can put it on a stackable item like wood and wood so long as it doesnt exceed that items cap)
Using the above tip you can duplicate eggs but only if you dont have instant hatch eggs on (setting your server to 0 incubation time) and it will be what seems to be an exact copy of that first egg (eggs are determined at spawn with breeding, so one egg no matter how many times this is done, will produce the what seems to be the same pal) so it will have the same gender, passives, etc. If you happen to breed an all Work Speed Anubis in an egg you duplicate this way, you can get multiple of that Anubis. (Anubis also is good for butchering as he has 100% Large soul drop rate)
Use a non food rot item to put into your feed boxs right slots, pals eat from left to right first and will generally put any food item in there first, followed by any fridge and then storage depending on pathing. Fill your feed box with honey or the cotton candy from wooliepops as they dont rot and you can force the AI to put food items into a fridge or storage.
Sorting item refreshes the food rot timer
Feed bags will also feed your character when hungry
All pals have a base 70 work speed which is affected % wise by passives, opinion that Artisan and Work Slave are must haves while the other work speed are optional as that will get you smaller returns. 80% gets you 126 Work speed, while Serious puts you at 140 and +lucky gets I believe 150. Any higher level work suitability generally does better as a lv 2 handiwork will craft faster then a lv 1 with artisan.
You can breed most of the highest level work suitability pals, by mid level 20s you can breed practically all the lv 4 work suits without having to capture their native version. Definitely look into breed chains
Digtoise is only a viable ore miner IF you have the headband (pal equip) and using him from your party. He does similar ore damage to anubis over all his hits but he drains way more food. Consult Rednu's video for results (digtoise is REALLY REALLY bad for ore miner as a base pal)
Condensing to max stars upgrades a pals work suits +1 level
Cooldowns for when a pal AI uses its moves and when you mount them and use their moves are tracked separately. Ride a pal into battle, blow all your CD, then dismount and they can use them again.
Opening your party menu and dropping your pal and picking them back up resets all their CD, so pal moves, and pal abilities are free.
Dont sleep on the Fire arrows and Poison arrows, it sucks having to carry a bow for each of them (theres a fire crossbow at the green merchant in fisherman village) but these are EASY applications of poison and fire dots which make pals much easier to catch then trying to get them their hp as low as possible. Just be careful as they still take dot damage in the sphere so if they die in the sphere and break out, they just die.
Spears are multi functional, you can mine ore and trees with them just as easy as a pick or ax. Regular spear does 50s to a tree, Refined does about 200~ and the Lily's spear from the Ancient tech side does almost 300, Combine this with crouching and you can reset your attack animation and farm much faster then with a regular pick or ax while not having to carry them. Spears weigh 15 (same as metal pick/ax), refined weigh 20 (probably the same as refined) but the lily spear weighs only 10.
Using Flopsie's necklace and carrying even one in your party makes farming items pretty easy as she will go get the items for you while you focus on killing things.
Hoocrates (like Socrates), Wixen, Kattress, Lyleen, Anubis, all have low chances of dropping varying levels of tech manuals.

Protip- dungeons are great for weapons and armor. Ice area gives pal armor (all variations) and rocket launcher. Volcano gives assault rifle. Dessert gives pump shotgun. This is especially good for mid-game before you’re able to craft said item or before you can defeat the boss that drops the legendary form.

Do the ice dungeons also drop rocket launcher ammo? If I can find the weapon thats awesome, but if I can't craft the rockets then it's useless until I'm high enough level to craft it, which means by that time I can craft the weapon too

    Pro tip:
Using the grapple hook with hangyu glider is the best movement you can use in the game, with starred up hangyu and ~250+ stamina you can easily travel the map in a minute or two without fast travel.
To get the best results, go to a slightly elevated location, maybe 2-3 ft above your grapple point, grapple and then cancel the grapple as late as possible. Immediately after cancelling, start your glide. With the way hangyu glides up, you want to constantly cancel your glide and restart it immediately to keep gaining altitude, so you can get farther by spending some time in free fall. I was able to get from the peak of the volcano fast travel point to the cinnamoth forest fast travel point in about 30 seconds with one pull of the grapple. Much faster than jetdragon

ProTip: If you're running out of space in your palbox (particularly during breeding) you can use viewing cages as extra storage as well as organization!
ProTip: Assign a vanwyrm cryst to your refrigerators and coolers and they will keep your food cold all day AND night because they don't sleep.
ProTip: Using vanwyrms for transporting goods allow them to vacuum your base during the night if you're finding they can't keep up during just the day.
ProTip: Rocket launchers are crappy damage but are GREAT for CCing especially on boss fights (you can also use palspheres as CC as well), which is very helpful on fights like Paladius and Necromus :)
ProTip: You can revive your pals quickly by putting your fainted pal to work in your base. Your transport pals will then rescue them by bringing them to a bed and they will be alive and well within a few seconds verses 10 min in the box

I find that it's a bad idea to use Pals for cooling if they can do anything else, because they will do anything but cool your food. It's great, for instance, in the beginning to run around with 5 Cattivas as they all give you +50 carry weight, meaning you'll get +250. This is huge early on when you only got 300 as standard, which is boosted to 550 with 5 Cattivas.

ProTip: You can cheese the Frostallion fight by standing on the cliffs above the frozen lake between his encounter and the Land of Absolute Zero Fast Travel point. -341, 509.
Use a Blazamut (Ignis blast, Power Shot, Fire ball) and 3 Kelpsea Ignis to boost Blazamuts power, and a flyer to get there quickly. Take a shot with rifle from the cliffs, then WAIT for Frostallion to get stuck on some of the rocks. Wait for when he stops attacking, then toss out your Blazamut, let him cook. Bring Blazamut back if Frostallion turns around to target him. You want Frostallion targeting you, not Blazamut. Bonus points for burning the Frostallion (~75 dmg per tick). You are able to start doing this as soon as you get the Legendary Spheres. When Frostallion is low, you have around 4% catch rate base, ~15% catch rate maxed out.
You are close enough, on the cliffs, that should Frostallion Teleport back to his "starting area" if the encounter resets, your damage will still be there. Just shoot him again with your rifle to start the encounter.
When Frostallion has about 700 HP left, don't let Blazamut use Fire ball, as it might burn Frostallion and his HP will drop to zero fast. Use the homing sphere launcher because some of the angles from the cliffs are hard to get line of sight.
You can use the cliff to dodge the Blizzard Spikes and Icicle missiles. Watch out for Icebergs, they can appear right under you. Dodge away.
Why Ignis blast, Power Shot, Fire ball? Ignis blast & Power Shot have short cooldowns and deal more DPS than most other attacks (as far as I know). One of them will hit pretty much every second.
10/10 Charlie. MOAR Charlie! Make Charlie the intro!

ProTip: Food that's in a production queue does not spoil. So build a couple cooking pots/fires to keep a backlog of food for yourself or your pals. Same goes for Mills and flour.
If your pals often refuse to work at certain stations, it's likely the side they want to work at is obstructed. Pals usually want to be Behind Crushers and Mills, and on production II lines, they want to be on the side opposite of the arms.
If you have no need for your 2nd/3rd base unlock (or you installed a mod for more) keep some wood, paladium, and stone on you and use it as a waypoint. Very useful for when you're farming those Pal Sanctuaries and you can deconstruct it from the map screen and get your resources back.

Protip: If you go to the Options menu in game and click Respawn while you're standing somewhere you want a free bag you will respawn and leave your items in the bag like you normally would when you get KO'd however if you return to the bag and don't remove all of the items from the bag the bag will stay there permanently. Not only will this be a huge "chest" for you to put items into, it will also have a blue beacon you can see from a great distance showing you where your base is and the absolute best part about this bag is it will freeze food timers so any food inside this bag will never go off (Get deleted).

Protip: if you play on the casual setting on the world map, then you don't have to build a base around sulfur or Quartz. You can just go to an area with 5 or 6 rocks of that type mine it all and click respawn and click your base. You won't drop all the sulfur and/or quartz you mined and you can just put in a box close to pal box at your base. That way you can focus two bases around ore/coal and one on breeding.

1 Rushoar + 4 Cattiva early game. 1 Digtouise + 4 Wumpo Botan lvl 19+ (through breeding). This is the way to go if you need quick ore, quartz etc. Early game quick ore is very valuable, because you can't afford to make a mining base yet. For quartz getting it with active mount skills is also optimal, because you don't need much so it is not worth getting a base for it.

    • @maxtomchris
      @maxtomchris 7 месяцев назад

@@saprone8885 Indeed. Early game ores however, I usually just use a direwolf mount for the speed and a party full of mining foremen (passive skill), go to the church that has a ton of ores behind it, set a chest next to the teleport statue and just put the ores in the chest before I'm over encumbered (usually 1 rock per, as I bring my weight to 600 before putting anything in other stats). Usually nets me over 120 ingots each time so it has me set until I can make a mining base.

Pro tip: All player-related passive abilities from pals stacks.
Get 5 Wumpos with Mine Foreman - and you can mine ore very fast, and carry a lot in one go.
Motivation leaders can help you craft things faster.
5 Vanguards give you +50% atk for insane damage.
    And so on.
When I return to the base to do something, I take five Wumpo's out of PalDeck. They all have "Mine Foreman", "Logging Foreman", "Motivation leader" and one of them with additional Artisan (I summon him to help craft something, for example).
Logging Foreman not very useful tho, since lategame tools can cut trees very fast, but it's pretty nice to have some Cattivas with this perk early on.

Protip: Benches create a buildable surface so you can stack them. You can stack 2 to make a railing or stack them slightly offset of each other to make a normal or spiral staircase.
Protip: You can also use this to place other items on top of the benches that can remain after the benches are destroyed.
For example, build 2 benches next to a metal chest then build a second chest on top of the benches and chest. When you remove the benches, you chest will stay stacked. You can use this for many objects in the game.

Carry Weight boosting Pals do stack buffs regardless of the Pal. For example, I had 2 Broncherry, 2 Kingpaca, and a Cativa (all base level) in my party and I had a carry weight increase of 450 total. So, if you had a party of 5 base level Cativa, you'll get a carry weight boost of 250. (edit: didn't realize this had been posted several times).
Another great tip is utilizing the multiple bases you can build at higher base levels. I only have 2 bases currently, my main and one for farming ore. Near the Chillet boss area, there is a nice little mining outcrop that can be reached by crossing a wooden bridge. It has a good number of large ore nodes that spawn there. I put down a Palbox at that area and build a small mining setup with some Digstoise and I just use the fast travel option between Palboxes to ferry all my mined ore to my main base. So, if you find a good spot with a lot of good resources you will need (especially in the later game) set up a Palbox and some sort of resource gathering/farming setup and let those bases gather everything for you. Then just utilize fast travel to hall all the resources back to your main base.
I guess some of the most minable resources you would need in late game would be ore, sulfur, and crystal so I guess you could build a main base near one of those resources and then two smaller "farming" bases near the other two resources so you always have a constant income of those needed resources.

  • @doctorbright1065

Pro Tip: After unlocking your third buildable base, you can set it down in places without a fast travel point to make one yourself, and deconstruct it from the map by mousing over it and holding [C] on PC. I've used this to quickly travel from base to the wildlife sanctuaries when i run out of legendary spheres or get too full on dropped Pal Metal Ingots from Astageon and Shadowbeak. you can also set it down to bring out multiple pals to combat a boss encounter with you outside the towers and sealed realms.

    Pro tips:
    - Breeding base location!! There's a spot at -185, -134, on the flat base-building area, that is partly in the desert, and partly in normal temp. This means you can hatch eggs in normal temp and in desert temp in the same base. It's also relatively easy to defend from raids.
    - To hatch something like a Huge Rocky Egg (anubis) at 100%, put it in the desert and put a cooler next to it. Don't listen to people saying put indoors with a >+2 kindled heater, that shit has never worked for me. Desert + cooler works every time. Use a dedicated cooling pal so they never get distracted. Foscicle or Jolthog Cryst
    - Build one extra breeding pen that's unused to store your cakes indefinitely as the timer doesn't decay
    - ALWAYS ALWAYS have 1-2 pal slots in your base for dedicated transportation pals, especially in mining bases. Too many items on the ground will prevent more drops, and on some servers the loot may even despawn. ANUBIS IS NOT A DEDICATED TRANSPORTER. Bro gets distracted by fucking everything.
    - Helzephyr is one of the best transporters because they only transport (so they don't get distracted), work through the night, and fly (so they get stuck on less). Vanywyrm, and vanwyrm cyst are also great assuming there's no kindling or cooling projects they could be distracted by
    - If you accidentally pick up a pal and don't want to change its work assignment do a dodge roll, and it drops the pal without affecting work assignments
    - Pal attacks get a 20% boost in damage when attacking with an element that matches their elemental types. So a blizzard spike that deals 1000 damage would deal 1200 damage if used from a penking or some other ice pal
    - Always have a Galeclaw in your party, it makes moving around your base/world super easy. 4-star the Galeclaw for faster movespeed, stam drain, and less drop over distance, which means you ZOOM baby
    - Work speed and suitability level affect how much time is added when cooling food. Tomatoes in a fridge with a no-passive jolthog cryst may expire in like 300 minutes, where a fridge with an artisan foxcicle will double that time to ~600 minutes.
    - Block tree spawns! Pals get stuck on trees all the time to keep a tree from regrowing chop it down and plop a wooden stool where it used to be. The tree will not regrow. This also helps pals with lumbering not get distracted. Other items work just as well, like mines, bear traps, and carpets. I suggest not using torches though, because this will distract kindling pals, who will prioritize lighting them every night over other jobs.

The desert area with suzaku, menasting, and dinossum lux is the easiest place to farm a lot of giga spheres for lv 30+ players. Just run around clearing out the numerous syndicate spawns, humans dont have an element so you cant use pals to increase drops, breed and use an orserk for maximim aoe at early levels

I don't know why you'd ever waste 920 gold on a single mega sphere when you can buy ammo and high quality Pal oil for much cheaper. And besides, by the time you can afford to do that, you are beyond the need for megas.

Protip: Mossanda is surprisingly good for base defense. It gains grenade launchers when you ride it. The grenades are fast, accurate, and while their damage is surprisingly low for a grenade, the splash is HUGE. Given that enemies come in single file, you basically just spam one area and they keep getting staggered.

Pro tip: do not fly diagonally for stamina conservation. You might expect the shortest line to be the most efficient, but you drain based on X and Y axis movement. If you're using a nightwing and struggling to get up mountains, fly up until you have very little stamina left, and then fly horizontally to find a ledge to rest on.

Protip: Food doesn't start its perish cycle until you remove it from the cooking pot. This one is obvious, but it comes in handy when you're just starting out with breeding and you want time to make lots of cake, you can have it going in the pot while you're collecting pals and setting up for your breeding project.
Protip: Speaking of breeding, if you use the monitoring stand to max out your work speed, any pals in breeding farms will not lose any sanity, so you could have a whole base full of breeding farms with work speed maxed out to speed up egg production.

Pro tip: a pals Cooling level does in fact affect how well a refrigerator or cooler box works, I believe it's 100 minutes every level, so a Frostalion (level 4) have 400min decay timer on food, while a Chillet (level 1) has a 100 minute timer :)

Pro tip: When riding a flying Pal at great height, Dismount and immediately re-mount to enter a fast vertical drop instead of hold the descend key/button. You take no damage whilst doing so. The higher the better.
Pro tip: You and a rideable pal have a seperate stamina meter. When swimming or gliding have your mount out. When your stamina is running low ride them until theirs depletes. Then repeat until you arrive at your destination. Its possible to reach the the sanctuaries with just a nightwing day 0.

    Easiest Frostallion cheese:
    1) Go to -352/531.
    2) Stack 5-10 campfires.
    3) Shoot Frost and quickly get up the clif (right above where you put the fires).
    4) She will follow you and just stand in the fires, throw your Pal down and wait.
    5) Incase the fight resets just go back shoot her and fly back to your spot up the clif.
    6) Wait for the right time to throw your sphere.
This takes about 4 minutes and works every time.

Pro Tip: Pals have different base speeds. A Nitewing with Swift is about as fast as a Beakon *without* Swift. I haven't tested other mounts for this yet, or researched in detail about percentages and stuff, but it's worth keeping in mind when choosing what mounts to put in your party/invest the time in breeding for optimal traits.

Little correction at 5:05: "Lv1" is the base level, 0 stars. so you get that +50% while riding that pal no matter what. sacrificing 4 pals gives you Lv2 (=1 star). same is true for any other bonuses in that doc.

Take advantage of the breeding farms. Cross-breed into new species for exp and to unlock more pals. There are spreadsheets to help you pick the parents for cross-breeding. Combine good abilities until you get pets with perfect combinations of abilities for various roles like working, grazing, combat, and mounts. Work speed doesn't make the grazers graze any faster. Condensing grazers makes them condense faster.
When you're working on breeding a bunch of a pal to get your perfect-ability pal to 4 stars, once you have all of the perfects you need, start breeding for other abilities towards your next project. For example, let's say I want a 4-star Gorirat with Musclehead, Ferocious, Burly Body, and Hard Skin. But after that, I want a Daedream with Musclehead, Ferocious, LUCKY, and BRAVE. Well, after I get a Gorirat that has all four of the abilities I want, I can stop trying to breed Gorirats that have those four abilities and I can start breeding Gorirats that have Musclehead, Ferocious, Lucky, and Brace. Then, when I condense my Gorirats into a single 4-star, I'll have a leftover Gorirat that has perfect DPS abilities that I can use as a parent to make my first Daedream. That'll give me a head start on my Daedream breeding project.
When you're trying to capture the level 50 legendary alphas, I noticed that the alphas are set-up well for elemental counters. The level 49 Blazamut isn't too hard to capture, because it's not a level 50 legend. Blazamut is fire, so you can use it to beat Frostallion, which is ice. Frostallion is ice, so you can use it to beat Jetragon, which is dragon. You can use Jetragon to beat Necromus, which is dark. You can use Necromus to beat Paladius, which is neutral.

Pro Tip: Frostallion and Noct have a higher damage bonus than other mounts, as they don't follow the same damage calculation. Therefore, 4x Gobfin + Frostallion is the best damage combination FOR THE PLAYER.
The calculation for Frostallion would be: (player's final damage after percentages) + (Frostallion's increase with elemental damage).
The calculation with Chillet and others would be: (player's final damage + Gobfin's percentage increase + mount's percentage increase).
    In practice, using simple numbers, Frostallion (100+30%) = 130 + (100+30%) = 260 + (elemental bonus if present).
For Chillet and similar mounts: (100+30%+100%) = 230 + (elemental bonus if present).
Remember that Frostallion converts your damage to ice and increases ice damage by %

Protip: This is related to using Orserk. Fast travel to Gobfin's Turf, set him aggressive mod and watch him wreak havoc. I got like 91 fluid in about 10 minutes. I also got a lucky out of it, which now makes two lucky Gobfin's. Just place him back in the sphere if you hear that lucky sound.
