- After years of battling sleep apnea, patient Suzanne Hendrickson found relief with the new Inspire Device technology. We sat down with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery's Head and Neck Oncologists Drs. Brian Woo and Robert Julian to learn more about this new technology.
I can relate with her.
Hi Amber Lynn Carroll how much did they pay you to pitch this scam device?
Does it eliminate snoring as well?
I love my Inspire device. I sleep so much better now and my husband can sleep in the same room with me now.
Any side effects? I want to get it but terrified
@@jaseinseattle me too bud
Does medicaid cover inspire implant?
I’ve had my Inspire device for three years. Although it’s not perfect, I like it much better than a CPAP. Inspire allows me to sleep on my stomach and side. There have not been any side effects for me.
@@jaseinseattle the only side effecrt that I had early on after I got my remote was some slight sorness in my tongue as it got used to the stimulation. That was only for a couple of days. There are user settings on the rermote where you can adjust the amount of stimulation. Truthfully, the pain from the surgery was very minimal and I now have some of the best sleep of my adult life.
I have had this device for over a year now. It’s still not working properly. I have had two sleep studies and multiple doctors visits to adjust the voltage. I have requested two different times for a representative to be at the doctors visits. The representatives showed up and basically said the device is working properly and that the voltage was too high. After the device is activated it turns on after about 30 minutes. The system pulses 5-9 times and wakes me up and I have to pause it. I’m not using the device but have requested another representative call me and be at my next visit also. No one can explain the 5 pulses it supposed to monitor your breathing and adjust the movement of your tongue. I’ve asked for the new remote so I can see what is going on and so far no upgrade. This device was $60,000 dollars total from hospital. As of now not impressed , the doctor has added sleep medication to help also
My experience with Inspire was not good and I subsequently ended up with a $3500 bill for something that I can’t use. Additionally, I have a scar on my neck and my chest.
This thing sends out an intermittent pulse, kind of like a frog projecting its throat and tongue. It’s not continuous. It was disturbing enough to keep me from sleeping. At the higher settings they wanted me to work up to, it was even painful.
You seriously need to heed my comments and don’t listen to the doctors and the Inspire people, who are solely out to sell their product.
Your story is very rare in my research. There are different levels of pulse as I understand it. Why can't it be dialed in properly in your case? I'm so sleep deprived I'm willing to risk your outcome.
@@idcniles It can only be adjusted at the doctors office. They tried. I found the pulse uncomfortable, even painful at higher settings. It almost makes me wonder if my surgery was botched.
I was thinking about doing the procedure but I am just stay with the cpac
Lol copy and pasted on every inspire video
@@Noone9227this can't be so so you say it wasn't a good idea so you gonna say nobody should do it just because u had issues
Oh, boy, another commerical!
I have constructed sleep apnea. My cpap is not working to my therapy. There not helping with me with my equipment I have had nasal sectum surgery in Warner Robin's GA By Dr. Nancy Butler this did not help. I need help. I also have a pacemaker as well. Thanks
This is should not be a treatment
What's the basis of your claim?
It’s the scar that remains on the skin with the incision. I don’t want that.
Dude, seriously? A little scar, who cares as long as you can get a better night's sleep without using a CPAP machine.
