Go to places where… people who are disadvantaged are employed, and examine those places online too. Because they might not be benefiting their target population like they say or at all. I think cooking is an example of a skill that can be very amenable to individual time, ability, and learned skill level constraints and I hope this thing turns out as good as it sounds.
I am so honored to have met Jacques Pepin and spend a few hours with him. It’s a memory. I’ll never forget. From Southern California with love always.💋♥️💋
Time passes so fast Jacques , I have been watching you a long time and do love your food . Your family as well in episodes on PBS . You have left a gift for all the young people of the world and I do hope they see it . God bless you and all your family ! Much love and hugggsss ! 🤗❣
I am honored to be a member of the Jacques Pepin Foundation, and to celebrate Chef Pepin's nearly 75 years in the culinary profession. A million thanks for for all you have done and are continuing to do in your 90th. year.
I am a home cook and have been such an advocate for the man who is never above the basics. Jacques acknowledges that it is a matter of taste and not an objective spectrum. I was introduced to James Beard's Onion Sandwich thanks to this man. I make it every week now. No thanks to the onions but I cried. Thank you.
This is such an amazing and much needed endeavor. My late sister became a very beloved cook in our family and community. She learned all she knew from watching and reading Julia Child and Jacques Pepin shows and books in the 1960s and beyond. Consequently I learned some skills by watching her, Julia and Jacques. She would have loved this and would have gone far in our local cuisine world if this organization was in existence back then. Bravo Jacques Pepin Foundation!
So blessed are you and so are we with thanks for so many years of teaching and that "je ne sais quoi" that Jacques and his family shares with us. THank you!!🎉
Listening to Jacques Pepin - it is a bit of ‘Un Peu du Chez Nous’ (I’m from Quebec) - The Love of Cooking was instilled by my Mother - but with my dietary restrictions I look for recipes that are easy to alter - otherwise I just watch/read - I found out that my brother also enjoys Jacques Pepin - One recipe that Jacques Pepin did was Bay Scallops with Belgian Endive’s - then when I went to the food store I kept finding them - I guess I was meant to make it -
The man, the myth, the legend! He’s the best!
Learning to cook gives people control over their lives in a way that is useful every day.
