Founded in 2016 by the Pépin family, the Jacques Pépin Foundation strives to enrich lives and strengthen communities through the power of culinary education. Through our efforts to raise awareness about the importance of food and cooking in our daily lives -- including this RUclips channel! -- we hope to inspire future generations of food lovers to discover their own “Happy Cooking” for improved health and well-being.
The JPF also partners with Community Kitchens across the country that provide hands-on culinary training and mentorship to people facing barriers to employment. With our network of grantees and workforce development partners nationwide, we are reaching at-risk youth, veterans, citizens returning from incarceration, and more. Together, we are opening doors to new opportunities and helping to create a more inclusive and equitable society.

Cooking egg for "ten minutes" is not a precise expression. I use a water boiler at the side and start off with the boiling water over the eggs (no they wont crack if you have the airhole done) Eggs at room temperarure is also a good start, then you have all the constants right. There are so many different stoves and temperatures involved otherwise.
A little recommendation. You can use the egg slicer with firm mushrooms aswell, the stem upwards!

Please tell us what pot does Chef Jacques use in this video (Easy Lentil & Sausage Stew) and the majority of his Cooking at Home series? I really like the size and shape of that pot!
Too much work. Octopus is easier.
I cooked this using Calabrese sausage my local market makes and the stew was a home run. I added kale to the stew in the last 10 minutes of cooking because I had some. Very delicious and will definitely be making this again.
Love watching all your videos, but seems you are touching raw chicken, then cutting things right on top of your wooden board without cleaning and this can spread bacteria. Do you wash your hands between mixing the items?

Weird story, I love lobster but had a mishap last summer. Me and mom got some lobster in Cutler Maine, our usual place, ate some that night and the rest I broke up for lobster salad. The shells pricked my skin and two fingers got infected. In November the middle finger of my left hand was amputated, the bone was eaten away by the infection. I will probably use chain mail gloves from now on, what a freak thing!
I love JP, but this video didn't teach me anything about cooking a lobster... which is the most important part.

I know we call it broiling rather than grilling, but I totally understand his instructions. I haven’t broiled (grilled) whole lobster but I have for tails. They’re amazing and I kinda prefer it over boiled.
I watched it because it’s Jacques but there’s about 0% I would ever even try to prepare a lobster for two reasons,I have a seafood allergy, but more importantly the lobster is a creepy lookin thing.

Lentils are one of the best easy meals to make. They are delicious and nutritious, and cook quickly. A good lentil soup is satisfying even without any meat in it, but even better with, of course.
