Congratulations! Wonderful that you had such a great birth and at home. My first birth didn’t go as I had hoped. I am hoping for a home birth for my second. These kinds of positive stories are necessary so people know birth doesnt always have to be a scary, traumatic experience! Thanks for sharing.

It makes me so happy to hear experiences like this because I have had two very similar birth experiences to yours and I feel so grateful for that and wish that everyone could have that experience too. I know many are very sadly not so fortunate to have the experiences that we have had but, personally, I do resent when people same I’m “lucky” to have had the births I’ve had. Because a home birth takes a lot of work, a lot of planning and WHOLE LOT of confidence and I’m sorry but giving birth completely unmedicated out of a setting which society would deem to be “most safe” is not easy! You’ve gone against the grain and done something that really isn’t seen to be the norm anymore (very sadly). So absolute credit to you for having the confidence in yourself to do the most natural thing a women can do, in the most natural way you can 💖🙏🏻.

Love seeing how supportive you and Leon are of each other and that you both recognised the challenges you overcame and have celebrated your strength through pregnancy and the birth x

I also had a traumatic 1st birth followed by a wonderful homebirth. Braxton Hicks for 7 weeks so intense that the midwives were sat with me for hours at a time thinking I was in labour. Night I went into labour mlbu was closed delivery suite turning people away to other hospitals, only 1 midwife available with the juniper team but they luckily got me a 2nd midwife from the hospital in the end. I didn't find the comb very good for me but I did have a pool at home that I loved. I also shouted at them to 'just pull him out' hahaha
@@CarlyRowenayep! But the dream team that is Juniper were my absolute rocks throughout that third trimester and got me my beautiful home birth 💜 they've also been amazing in these last 3 weeks since he's been born too, actually love them 😅
It can go with way pregnancy bad or labour. No offence to Jax she’s a cutie. But because you had worries , miserable. I’m glad your labour went great xx Bowie is so damn cute it sounds Scottish idk why. Like when people say your a Bonnie wee lassi xx
