Season 4 was really good, so many unexpected things happened like Barry going to prison or the thinker outplaying everyone. We even got Ralph for the first time which was awesome.
the only unexpected thing that happened was how horrible the writing gets after each season

I didn't like how Barry went to prison. How was he meant to have killed Devoe and take him miles from his home/work, and then why drag him up to his and Iris' home? How did he do it? Where was Devoe's specialised wheelchair?
EDIT: I did enjoy the prison sequence of episodes, those were great. I just questioned the execution of getting Barry in prison.

In the DC Comics, Eddie Thawne is actually Barry's biological brother, but was GIVEN at birth to another couple called the Thawnes, by a certain Dr. MALCOM GILMORE. Who told the Allens that he was stillborn.

This is probably the best ranking that I’ve seen so far. I agree with where you put everything even though Season 1 and Season 2 are interchangeable for me for top Season.
Season 1 and 2 are must watch. Season 3 is still a fun time to watch. Season 4 to 6(the first half of 6) are hit or miss. Season 7 to 9 are must drop.

I feel bad for Cicida. He started as a great villain,even though the rest of it was bad,until the story was giving him a satisfying conclusion by curing him and his sister's daughter,until that girl Cicida showed up. He deserved to be alive and have a happy ending.

They don't kill so they wouldn't do something like that, Iris stabbed him in self defence as a last resort. Also do you think Barry is a robot programmed with exactly what to do in a given moment? Its made clear throughout the show that Barry's emotional nature is his biggest "fault". He lost his composure, beat up and nearly killed the man who he thought paralysed his daughter for good. To think Barry would keep his cool and just lock him up in the pipeline isn't likely considering his character

Iris wasn’t a bad character till season 4
I feel they tried to put Iris into roles her character just didn't suit and on top of that forced Iris and Barry together too soon. Plus Grant and Danielle have a way better chemistry.

I really, REALLY wish The Flash ended at season 3. Savitar was the perfect final villain, but they just had to keep going.

@@georgegaugler The suit is kinda reasonable. Since Barry's very frist suit, anyone with half a brain couldn't be fooled by that suit about the "secret identity" thing. Pointed out by other characters, the skin, the jawlines were kinda familiar. And Star labs' dumbasses didn't think about fixing that. Also, the suit tissue makes it look like Michael Keaton's batman suit and that's fcking hilarious.
The characters? There are no damn interesting characters. Ralph is the character meant to be hated by his mistakes but is loved because he is the only one in the team that thinks straight, 1000 times better than Iris. That girl is the gaslighting personified. There's no evolution, every encounter between heroes and villains, speedsters and metas, people never go straight to the point, they always love to stop to talk. Seems like every occasion is so forced it makes me wanna puke, even the court arc where a literal pyromaniac that commits arson UNMASKED can ONLY go to jail if nerd Barry could testify. He fails testifying because for no damn good reason it was so hot in that room Barry sweated a drop on the FRAME of the smart glasses and not even the lens or the electrical part of the device (Your cellphone doesn't instantly die if a droplet of water falls on the cable entry). Result? The pyromaniac is out and what does he do to celebrate? Goes *UNMASKED TO ROB A BANK* WHERE COULD BE A LOT OF CAMERAS AND WITNESSES.
Also the villains. As I was talking about that bald pyromaniac guy, the samuroid and the "samuroid is Devoe" plot are wasted jokes, Killer Frost is totally based on being edgy as always, Mirror Master arc with the Top is nasty and no fight or pursue makes real sense (Considering Barry should end 95% of the villains in a sec in EVERY DAMN EPISODE if the writers weren't dumb) and Davoe is not the "Smartest Man Alive". He just has average intelligence, since he can slightly overcome Team Flash's stupidity

What i think is a good last episode is that cobalt blue has a plan for the villains
Savitar can go to infantino street and do the exact same thing as he did, which is kill iris in front of barry but instead of killing iris, barry was fast enough to stop savitar.
For zoom, the same thing can happen that he wants to use the magnetar, and wipe out the entire multiverse, killing all the speedster, like season 2, barry races him, but this time barry caught up with him and knock out zoom.
Godspeed can try and kill the rest if team flash and the other team flash people with power try and stop him but they cant.
Reverse flash can betray cobalt blue and become the avatar, collecting the speed from the rest of the villains, and barry and him can actually do a proper fight or can just make flash 1 v 4 the villians
What barry can do at the end, is he destroy the negative speed force once and for all.
This will show how much Barry has improved and how much faster he has become

My biggest issues with season 5 is firstly, Nora is suppose to be closer to Barry and Iris age but she acts like a teenager (they could’ve literally just said she was 16 and a lot of the issues with her would be solved) and then the time travel. The time travel in season 5 makes no sense. They destroy the dagger and it just disappears like 30 years in the future, giving Thawne a way to escape. When it should’ve rewritten the timeline and through that, Thawne would never have been captured
Exactly when i watching this first time i have same conclusion that if the dagger desapire in the past that Thrawne should be no capture in the future. Only solution is that new timeline wasn't made yet and it has sense because when Nora is vanishing Thrawne said that she lost her time and new timeline is creating.
Season 1 and 2 are a tie for me. They are just both amazing

Honestly, ending at the S1 cliffhanger is even more satisfying for me. We see Barry being an unsure guy learning to use his powers and how to make the right decisions.
And by the end, he makes the right decision, lets his mother die, and despite knowing how outclassed he is against the singularity, still says, "I have to try" and fearless goes for it. That's the moment he becomes The Flash.
Don't even need to know if he succeeds or not. His arc is complete.
I hope James Gunn uses him as the new DCEU Flash 🤞

I think seasons 3 and 5 were a great place to end the show. Season 5 had a great finale, and an emotional ending, plus Barry faces off Reverse Flash and it's clear that he will always be there to ruin Barry's life. Season 5 gave us a look at the future of the city and the show could have easily ended with the audiences wondering whether he'll survive crisis or not.
Season 8 can get 8/10 its not that bad to get a 6 cuz this is the only season where we saw Barry become "The Fastest Man Alive"

A huge problem with the later seasons is that they stopped with all the mystery and would reveal the big bad’s identity either immediately or a few episodes in.
Because most networks nowadays got into the bingewatching business. Where they dump all the exposition and reveal in the early episodes and make up the conflict as they go along.
S01… 10 years ago. Remember watching the episode where he reveals himself to Iris but then do the first time travel - it was mesmerizing.

My favorite season personally was season four, I loved Ralph dibny and Devoe was really cool with all those powers in one and the bus metas. Overall amazing season definitely a 1000/10 for me.

I too could be fairer, but don't think about it much, so really S4 and 5 were just decent so yeah, like to say it's all pretty good. You're right though, S4 is the last peak season and had the best moment of all Flash where he saves Iris and last great episode 4x15, when I make MV's I don't really use S5 much, and sometimes forget Cicada and find it hard to make MV's about S5. Basically S1-5 if you love Flash, that's the only ones worth watching yeah. For me if it ended with S5 or had the same showrunners it could've been objectively but I still think the best show so well yh.

See season 1 of reverse Flash is exactly how you do a perfect twist villain, you reveal the villain to the viewers, you have him constantly act normal around the main protagonist and give slight hints that he is the villain to the protagonist, even Invincible, a modern day show did this same exact tactic with Omni-Man and they did it just as perfect as Thwane
