Omg I didn’t realize at first the names of the shadows were on the bottom left, so I thought they were just some kind of unhinged Monty python style subtitles you wrote 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I've seen multiple non-influencers post swatches of these. You can't see anything special about these outside of studio lighting or ring light. In regular scenarios, these look very sheer, not pigmented at all, and the sparkle barely picks up. If you want eyeshadow that looks cool for an instagram selfie once or twice before they turn moldy, these are your heroes.
Yup! Patrick Ta won’t be getting any more of my money after my palette got moldy in a few months! I have beautiful sparkly shadows from brands I trust.
I’m a high end buying girl and STILL won’t purchase these. They’re just trying to take advantage of the customer by creating fomo and false exclusivity.
@@HINATA13845And it's purely to sell a brand name. You're essentially paying for what PT thinks he is in the beauty industry and I think those days are largely gone
Girl, you are a NUT!! Of course you bought them all!!!! 😄😄😄 I was saying that they should have been offered as an empty palette that holds two pans and you can choose two colors of your own.....
I’d love this, but from what I’ve seen (thank you Lipstick Lesbians) the shadows are baked in the compact, not in pans that are then put into the compact. Which added to the cost but also I don’t think these formulas could have been done in removable pans, so lose lose situation tbh!
I just want to thank you for all the ways you’ve shown us these shadows (and so many others). You give us all the information we need to know, plus some! You are fantastic and I am always looking to your channel for swatches and comparisons. Short story long, I appreciate what you do!!! 💕
No way I’d pay this price for any of these. I think they’re very dupable and the first brand that comes to mind is Moira. Just my opinion. You do you. 😊
@@StaciSchuck I’ve been a big LMB fan for years so I wasn’t trying to be mean. I love her reviews and was looking forward to her thoughts on the Patrick Ta but also appreciate that she doesn’t take makeup too seriously 👍
My absolute favorite creator. I love how you can hype up a product, but still deinfluence me while influence me to look at what I own and use my collection. I watched the whole video knowing damn well I will not be spending that much on myself for only 2 shadows, but it was still a great watch. Love looking at the beautiful swatchesss
Patrick Ta did us so dirty with that AMAZING cool taupe paired with a basic ass brown with no sparkle. I’d be spending almost $50 with tax for one shadow in that case. Horrifying.
I personally like the concept of duos for a perfectly curated look on-the-go, but I hope he comes out with that color in a single or you find a comparable color! Lauren swatched soo many comps so maybe that'll help.
If you by any chance have the Róen 11:11 palette the shade Hashtag is close to a dupe. Obviously a different formula but it’s practically the same shade and has tons of sparkle. It’s one of my favorite palettes. All of the shimmers in that palette are amazing.
I had a roen palette years ago and within a few months it got hard and unusable for me. I got a dud obviously because everyone loves them but I haven’t repurchased because of that. I’ll check out 11:11, thank you!!!
I actually want that duo BECAUSE of the more metallic brown. My signature/daily look is a metallic brown with a sparkly topper on top, so this is perfection for travel. Not every shade has to be stuffed with glitter to be beautiful!
Your taupe swatches would be a stunning palette 😍 thank you for a in-depth non price justification video… can definitely tell a lot of work has gone into this 💗
Such a thorough video! I have my Chantecaille and Bobbi Brown singles, so I’m out on these. I also have pretty much only worn a matte eye for the past couple months, so I really and truly do not need to buy any shimmer shades, no matter have beautiful they look in theory.
This video is phenomenal. Thank you for putting your eyelids, wrists, and fingers to the test with these! I appreciate all the lid swatches, arm swatches, and comparisons.
YAY! I thought of you as soon as I saw the Patrick Ta duos. Will I personally be buying them? Absolutely not. But will I be watching all 50-something minutes of this video? Hell yeah!
Thanks for your continued in-depth reviews. You are definitely my go-to reviewer, as I have a similar makeup style and you've never steered me wrong. I've been looking for a cooler toned brown shimmer, that doesn't break the bank and isn't in a bulky palette, for AGES. Looking at the brown duo that darker shade is definitely a satin, rather than a glittery shimmer. It's still pretty but not €42 pretty. I found a brown shimmer at Kiko Milano for €10 and the online swatch looks really promising (they also have a glorious lavendar with gold flip, but that's a different issue 😅). I have a store around the corner so I'm going to check it out in person later today. The shade is called Excellent Coffee, which I think is an awesome name 😆. Hoping it looks as good in person 🤞🏻
Haven’t finished the video yet but I think a fun metric for if a product is “worth it” would be if it was lost/destroyed in your collection, would you personally rebuy it. Would love to know your thoughts on these and also other (especially high end) products you review.
Hi Lauren. Thank you so much for all these long, detailed videos even though you've said things are pretty crazy on your end!! Thank you for deinfluencing me. Your swatches are absolutely top notch and really help me make an informed decision. The online swatches show them slightly blurry so you’re getting the best of the sparkle but honestly, the color choices are ones I already have. Taupe girlie here too. And that last palette is the one I would have gone for. Thanks for saving me $42 and inspiring me to go back into my own collection and pull out what I already own.

This was amazing, thank you :) You put a lot of work into this and I really appreciate it as I have been so torn because of the price point, and you helped me in making my decision. Thanks!
I feel pat McGrath missed out on doing duos of these cause especially the gritty old formula she had of the special shades is exactly like those right ?😊
Not even a Kylie Jenner fan but I got 2 of her eyeshadow pallets for £40 in total , including delivery. The bronze & mauve ones. Both have 20 colours so 40 colours in total and half have glitter on. Any colour you have in these you find in those. Never thought I'd recommend kylie but here we are. They r long lasting and in over a year they didn't get mold on them or anything. Better price and quality and quantity.
I have major dimension 1 & 2 and my rose gold palette had mold as well! It only took 3-4 months and I definitely stored it properly so I’m really hoping that issue has been resolved otherwise at $42 apiece people will absolutely riot lol
@ oh I know! when I emailed the company and told them how quickly it happened providing photos, etc they told me it was separating waxes lol I explained to them that I had actually formulated cosmetics and I know what separated waxes look like and they’re not fuzzy and green, but they just stopped responding!
As someone who's longed for those Chantecaille singles, I think the eye swatch comparison just made want a single even more 😂 The Patrick Ta looks nice too, but I loved how much smoother and yet still sparkly the Chantecaille shade laid down
I found you recently and notifications are already on! Even though I have no interest in picking up the Patrick Ta duos, I really appreciate your in-depth review! I'm more of a make-up content watcher than purchaser (mostly due to finances haha), so seeing all the colours compared to other companies' products was fascinating! As an Aussie, I was also so happy to see you shouting out Glaminatrix! I hope I can buy one of their palettes one day 💙💙
I literally was looking up reviews for these because of all the people talking about how expensive these were! I think they’re so beautiful! I definitely can’t afford them right now but I just love seeing the sparkles!!
Best video on these yet. Great job with the comparisons! Also, these do make sense for you because of your makeup preferences 👍 it will be worth it to some and not to others
I think these are perfectly pretty shadows but the price point in Canada is absolutely ludicrous. They are $60 each and $93 customs and taxes. 😮 So almost $400 for 10 shades of sparkly powder. I have a ridiculous makeup collection. I don't mind spending my hard earned money on beautiful things. But I would be ashamed if I were P.T. trying to justify charging $400 for 10 eyeshadows. We have lost our minds if that seems reasonable. Thank you for all you do Lauren. I so appreciate your info and demos even though Satan would be snowblowing his driveway before I would ever spend that kind of money.
I don’t think Patrick is thinking about Canada at all. Canada has Sephora so you can go get them in store. No one should be getting all the shades. No one is forcing people to make poor financial decisions.
@ the closest Sephora to me is almost 8 hours away, so no I can't purchase in store. And my comment was not encouraging anyone to purchase all the shades. My money is my own. I can spend it how I please. When we are behaving as if having to spend $300 on 10 shades of eyeshadow is reasonable, that's when I have a problem. Whether I want to purchase or not, for $60 on his website, or $57 on Sephora, the price is absurd.
I can relate I’m from Canada as well, so it super disheartening when something is absurdly priced in the U.S, I always think, you should come to Canada and buy that lol, if I could justify spending $60 on two eyeshadows, I’m probably not donating enough to charity lol, and as Lauren mentioned super shocks by colour pop or Moira singles, are so similar in look it’s very hard to justify that price point.
I mean in the UK a single Urban Decay moondust is £20 so 2 for £40 these duos are £37. A single of the Bobbi Brown sparkly shadow is £30. So his pricing isn't that crazy compared to others, it's just because he's so popular he gets talked about more. That being said I can't see myself buying these because of the price, stunning multichromes are cheaper per pan than those brands.
The lighter shade in the Do You Know Who I Am duo looks soooo good on you!! I really like Still At The Club but I feel like they cheated us a little with that second darker shade. If they released the first shade as a single I’d buy it immediately!!
Hey Lauren!! I have a similar passion for taupe eyeshadow too. I felt the exact same way as you about still at the club until I layered the lighter shade over the dark one and I COMPLETELY transformed it into perfection. I also bought do you know me and tried layering it and had the same incredible outcome 😊 you should totally try it ❤
Another dupe for the cool tone taupe shade ( beyond Pinto from Chantecaille) is one shade from Viseart Petits Fours in “Hesperides”. Really really close and you get 4 shades for $25!
I’m SO excited about the PT duos!!! I’ve got 3 on their way and will pick up the other 2 soon. You may have better luck with the mirror if you turn it horizontally.🤷♀️I really appreciated this video! Thx.😊
I don't either. Here in the UK a Bobbi Brown single shadow of her specially sparkly formula is £30 and these are £37. People are forgetting that singles and duos are always way more expensive than a palette.
@@disgruntledmoderate5331 oh they are definitely overpriced but people online are just going after Patrick Ta for his price and forgetting that his price is in line with or cheaper than others on the market. So to single him out like they have been is unfair.
The price is so crazy I can’t. Thanks for swatching though 😂 Edit: thanks for mentioning the elf ones! I actually bought some of those because the 6 dollar price point makes more sense for me. I don’t wear glitter eyeshadows all the time - spending 42 bucks for two shadows as someone who won’t be wearing it everyday seems excessive. A lot of my old palettes have these types of shimmers anyway! I just need to dig out my palettes and identify them.
These were an instant no for me because I don’t like chunky glitter but I wanted to see swatches first You came through. Still At The Club is it. I actually really like the darker one in the duo!
Listen people deep dive into shimmers but at the end of the day most of us go to our jobs or whatever and people can’t tell whether you have a Patrick ta shimmer or an urban decay shimmer. I love beauty and I love seeing the differences. But a shimmer is a shimmer. Just like you said there’s so many beautiful shimmer shades on the marker
Yeah, $42 is a no for me. Seems to be a disconnect between the brand & the consumers with this release. Patrick Ta thinks they're luxury, & many of us don't agree.
Still at the Club reminds me a lot of the sparkly shade in the Dior quint Tutu. The dior might be even more cool toned, so I mixed it a bit with a taupy shade in the quint Soft Cashmere, and it looks like the Patrick Ta to me.
Lauren thank you for the deep dive! Pink/orange duo reminds me of Fenty Mimosa Sunrise/Sangria Sunset duo. Sad no new palette. I have his other 3 plus last years Pink blush/eye. I have all Moondust & new Quad and Star so will stick with those.
I have a type and it’s taupe haha if I didn’t have the Charlotte Tilbury one I might be tempted by Patrick’s-that color was the only one I was into. But ugh LOVE seeing all those taupes swatched! Might be a fun video to see shadows by color instead of formula or single vs palettes! ❤️👏 thanks for the great video Lauren!!!
Have you tried the new Bobbi brown holiday eyeshadow duos from this year? I’d love to see a swatch comparison between the steel quartz shade in the luminous smoke duo compared to the sparkly shade in still at the club

NOTHING compares to Lauren's in depth eyeshadow swatches 🥰
Omg thank you for this! Would love to see the still at the club compared to some of the shades in the ND I need a nude palette 😊
This was incredibly helpful thank you so much!!!!!!
I love your nails there’s so pretty 💜
I love these! the cute and compact packaging of my dreams 😍 I can never use up a full palette...
Do you mind doing a video comparing these to your indie shadows bc I would be interested to see them compared to give me glow
That vibrant pink shadow looked so good on you!
Yeah, $42 is a no for me. Seems to be a disconnect between the brand & the consumers with this release. Patrick Ta thinks they're luxury, & many of us don't agree.
I think most of us know it is luxury.
True, but looks like the numbers don’t lie, they are all darn near sold out, so I’m guessing people didn’t care, I do tho
It’s trendy instagram influencer makeup. Luxury brands should not have to explain higher pric
Yeah mold doesn’t give luxury in my eyes
@@princessnjj I actually wondered if they are sold out due to all the influencers who showcase them 😂
Still at the Club reminds me a lot of the sparkly shade in the Dior quint Tutu. The dior might be even more cool toned, so I mixed it a bit with a taupy shade in the quint Soft Cashmere, and it looks like the Patrick Ta to me.
Thanks a lot for all the cmparetion. It's really helpful!!!
I honestly want these for highlighter and blush 🤭
Those pinks look so pretty with your skin tone.
These shadows do really well with a wet brush.
this was really well done esp the comparisons
I have a type and it’s taupe haha if I didn’t have the Charlotte Tilbury one I might be tempted by Patrick’s-that color was the only one I was into. But ugh LOVE seeing all those taupes swatched! Might be a fun video to see shadows by color instead of formula or single vs palettes! ❤️👏 thanks for the great video Lauren!!!
Amazing job Lauren! I wasn’t interested but this was fun to watch.
Have you tried the new Bobbi brown holiday eyeshadow duos from this year? I’d love to see a swatch comparison between the steel quartz shade in the luminous smoke duo compared to the sparkly shade in still at the club
