i got on the game first time in like 2 years yesterday, i already got chased by a dude loaded with max lvl esfs and shockwaves trying to kill me. vehicular warfare indeed
@@vakezanimation762 after the game, its just showed Fate was a cop who desired to be a racer and is now the top racer because he has no one to compete with anymore.
Dank Memes okay so zephyr is the racer and f8 is the cop in the story at the end zephyr crashes but he survives I think and f8 also crashes and gets terminated from vrt and becomes racer and takes zephyr spot
But if Zephyr mentions F8 before Zephyr's first crash: doesn't that mean that F8 couldn't have been the cop that busted Zephyr on his second wreck 🤔 Could this be wrong? Am I dumb? Is this a plot hole? It's very important we analyze this further; Need For Speed: Rivals is the greatest work of literature mankind has ever created.
I love the story its not the usual race to get some rep to race the biggest asshole in town.the story is darker than any other nfs game and the atmosphere is just beautiful.thats why i love this game
This goes far beyond the Need for Speed: In the beginning, F-8, our big-boy, badass, protagonist and Zephyr, the man with a P1, EMP, and a dream are both seemingly veteran drivers looking to carve their names in history. But it's not just the, well, Need for Speed, that'll put 'em at odds. But their beliefs. F-8 believes that fear commands respect, and force commands order. If both are tested by someone that questions their authority, then they're fucked. Even going as far as to call the people they protect "ungrateful". Zephyr believes that everyone has a limit. And the only way to find it, is to go past it. To defy fear and obedience. To him, racing is about challenging your fear, nerves and skill. If you aren't speeding, then you're not living. And that's exactly what he does, in video form. Where he "pushes" his limit in the fastest vehicles he could find. Inciting millions of other people with mean machines like his to post videos online, taking street racing to the national viral spotlight. This pisses off the District Attorney, and where F-8 asserts his beliefs. Even implying that the civilians straight-up _accuse_ them of intimidation, not just outward, but within their ranks as well. Zephyr, however, sees this as the people coming out of their shells. Breaking free and resisting authority, daring to go far not just for clout, but for freedom. This is where things go too damn far, Officer John McManis (the driver of the Carrera GT) severely injures himself trying to stop some racers (maybe he felt himself inferior to F-8). F-8 gets really pissed and wants to make the racers pay for nearly killing him (though it was more or less McManis' fault for taking a Carrera GT to war). Zephyr tells his side of the story. Using Officer McManis' injuries as an example of why the RCPD can't "keep up". Zephyr believes that the RCPD want revenge for a crime that was never committed, instead of the truth. Which makes them enemies. Following the "accident", the U.S. Department of Justice is called in to investigate a possible culture of intimidation within the RCPD. Everyone on the RCPD is sidelined until the investigation concludes, which pisses F-8 off even more. Meanwhile, the racers and Zephyr's celebration is short-lived, as the Federal Bureau of Investigation has called upon the Vehicle Response Team. The top interdiction unit of the United States of America, composed of ex-Special Forces (think Navy SEALs, Green Berets, Delta Force, 24 STS, ISA, 75th Rangers, etc.) and ex-street racers who have been bailed as soon as the FBI recruited them. Zephyr sees them as new enemies to face down. Meanwhile Internal Affairs expands their investigation into excessive force, and the RCPD chief suspends all patrols. F-8, now "properly" broken from all the bullshit he's seen, decides that if the police want to win, then they need to play by the racers' rules. So, him, along with an army of equally disgruntled cops take a few impounded rides and wage their own secret war against the racers. The VRT, to Zephyr, have done nothing more than create chaos than establish order, which isn't too good for everyone. Even civilians are getting caught up in the crossfire, imagine being a civilian/beat officer and your lover/best friend/family member dies getting caught up in a chase. Scary stuff. Zephyr then finds a new breed of racers have "joined" the fray, tearing shit up (literally). Led by F-8, the racers kick major ass. With F-8 taking nearly all of Zephyr's ratings for his aggressive driving. The FBI/VRT clearly sees these army of pissed-off rogue cops and decide to take them under their wing. Using the escalation of violence as an excuse to recruit these cops in their ranks. Which only serves to piss off the public (and Zephyr) even more. Speaking of pissing off Zephyr, he was able to deduce that these army of crazed racers are nothing more than road-raged cops looking for vengeance for McManis. And in turn, steals a decommissioned Koenigsegg Agera R unit and goes ham on the cops. F-8 passes the test and is recruited in the VRT. Locked and loaded with new tech, all thanks to taxpayer money, it's time to kick some ass for real. Civilians have been pissed, and commit civil unrest, but increased law enforcement has prevented any more riots. Meanwhile, Zephyr's message is getting through to the people. As he's become the "Robin Hood" of Redview County. The VRT ID's three of Zephyr's associates, who use encrypted radio to communicate with each other. However, they "ping" giving their location. The VRT chief tells F-8 to go take them down before the radios become useless. Zephyr, feeling "lost" decides to make an open manifesto. And created a map with a route where racers and cops can finally have the "ultimate" showdown. But he crashes into a roadblock. Thankfully, he was alive enough to start his car back up. However, Fate can be pretty damn fast. And that's what happened when F-8 was given the order to get Zephyr and end this war. It seemed as though Zephyr may be "dead" after that wreck. And the FBI kicks him off the VRT in order to clean up the mess F-8 left behind. In the end, Zephyr got what he wanted. And a few months later, F-8 rises as Redview County's newest top racer.
@@Choco_NutterThe news reporter did say that F-8 was seriously injured after colliding with Zephyr, maybe he (Zephyr) was conscious enough to drive away again? Maybe F-8 spun out and crashed? Or maybe F-8 was "hallucinating" Zephyr being in front of him, but didn't realize that the real Zephyr was at the Grand Tour race and got away?
Wanna know something? You're Zephyr when you're a racer. Because after the collision, you survived. Then, you found yourself out sitting hopeless, breathing lifeless. 'Til then you heard sirens. You turned on your engine, but unfortunately you got crashed by F-8. You're F-8 when you're a cop. You broke Zephyr's car when you turned your sirens on to intercept and detain. Then after you crashed, wrecked Zephyr's car, you got terminated for reckless actions. You became a racer, rose up on the leaderboard, makes an open challenge to all racers, and enjoyed you whole life.
yes exactly and it was the VRT who ordered F8 to take out Zephyr in the first place if you noticed all of the cop cut-scenes. The Police framed F8 actually that's why he was saying he is free unshackled. He would not kill Zephyr unless VRT command him to do so. The Police fired him and that's why he open challenges other racers and also saying this to the new junior cops who want to be enforcer in the Police squad
The monologues between the cut scenes are SO FRIKING GOOD, quotes like “I am not you. I am the life you are too scared to live. You are asleep. I am awake. I am the reality show, the catalyst, the 15 minutes you'll never have. You wanna know why I do this? I wanna know why you don't.” Literal goosebumps
Now I see... The police's world and the racer's world turn upside down. At the start, Police are good and use their strength in numbers and racers are treated bad and are all rivals and compete to be the best. As the story goes on, Things go too far. Officer John McMannis gets critically injured for pushing his limit. F-8 then gets angry and starts using impounded vehicles. He introduces himself as a racer and wreaks havoc from within. Zephyr sees this, and steals a cop car and paints it just to show that they aren't rivals anymore. The racers then become cop like. Uniting to destroy their former rivals, now their enemies. F-8 continues to wreak havoc, and discovers that it satisfies him. The police get permitted to use excessive force. The VRT then order F-8 to hunt down Zephyr and his associates. The final battle goes on, and then Zephyr draws his final breath, his final moment of freedom. F-8 crashes and then escapes. He then gets terminated from the force. From then on, He becomes a true racer, and everything goes back the way it was.
Giramosa GD “...hard to imagine anyone would survive a wreck like that.” “ They say speed kills, but if you aren’t speeding you aint living” Zephyr is very dead. He doesn’t pan, nor does he makes any sounds like when F-8 crashed. Zephyr died from a war of aggression, while his original intent was only to challenge, cops or racers. In the end he speeds off into the underworld, never regretting his way of life even when it killed him. I think this game would be much more appreciated if people notice those hints.
@@luxel3365 Zephyr does survive the crash, and even tries to startup his car again. What actually killed him, however, was the another supercar that crashed on whatever remained of him (Probably F-8). When Zephyr's car starts up it's possible to hear another car's engine rapidly approaching then a loud noise, which is cut off a second later.
@@michaelanderson1702 I feel like it's just transitional sound effect at the end of that. The siren doesn't sound like it's approaching closer. And that engine sound coming feels more like wind tbh. And can u even start the engine in one try after it was hit THAT hard, supercar-speed collision no less. But it's pretty interesting theory direction though. Zephyr WAS survived the initial crash with roadblock, but got 'excessive forced' by F-8, which would explain why police want to retire him and bridging the mildly disconnected cinematic at the end of both career. I used to think they retire F-8 after finding out he stole a confiscated car to intentionally wage war with racer, and/or he also wreck more havoc during that final chase than all Zephyr did, because just taking down a racer alone probably wouldn't have THAT much reason to let go someone literally given and succeed in the task of taking down the top racer in Redview. But this is also pretty legit theory.
What most people miss is that Zephyr did survive the crash then goes into hiding or whatever. The ending of the cops didn't mention anything about F-8 catching Zephyr and F-8 just crashes and is probably already terminated from the force since he got acquired by VRT. Since VRT is like a government secret team, they probably let him get away with all the havoc he does. After that, F-8 decided to become the next street racer and challenges other, taking Zephyr place. (It's also why it specifically mention that F-8 has taken the top spot instead of Zephyr meaning that Zephyr probably isn't racing anymore.)
They should have turned it upside down completely. Instead of Zephyr seemingly not racing anymore they should have made Zephyr to be recruited by law enforcement because of his driving skills and to make up for the property damage he's done.
Just rewatched again and I need to mention. Notice when Zephyr is dying, he states “the reality show and 15 mins you’ll ever have” part. HOWEVER, Fate took over THE REST of Zephyr’s words from the intro. It’s still Fate speaking, but he started with Zephyr’s “You are asleep, I am awake.” But it is important to notice that Fate’s tone is almost a lament. He is saying “Yes, I am finally truly awake and I am glad.” This contrasts with his opening line with “We are unbound, free, unshackled.” However, he was “asleep” then, even his tone was calmer, and he is in fact *not free* and *not living* by Zephyr’s standards. Then the ending keeps getting better, as Fate continues with “I am unshackled.” Not we. Is just him that is truly free. This is cool because Fate didn’t magically completely become Zephyr. Fate is still F-8 but more alive and unrestrained. He even admitted “I AM THE LIFE THAT I WAS TOO SCARED TO LIVE.” Meaning the opening dialogue was ACTUALLY a real conversation that Zephyr and F-8 had at some point in their rivalry. Or there would be no way Fate would state those exact words to pay tribute to Zephyr. Finally, of course, there is the bit where Fate takes over Zephyr’s legacy and issued a statement very similar to the original. But again, you can still clearly tell it’s Fate speaking. Like his voice is still more rigid like an ex-cop would sound. Compared to Zephyr’s natural gloriousness.
I'm pretty sure zephyr didn't die and actually went into hiding. If you finished his story (the racer story) he starts the car and drives off. And I also know in a later nfs game that a npc in a cutscene mentions an underground racer that was also linked to a street that was in nfs rivals. The same goes for the cop side. It is said that Zephyr is badly injured but not dead So that means that Zephyr is still alive and hiding somewhere
F8is the leader of. Vrt and he races aggressively and zeyphar is the leader of races and. Zzeyphar was winning but then zeyphar hit a road block then he died then f8 became the leader of racers
@@gokusolos8268 Actually, F-8 was just an ordinary patrol cop until McManis' accident, which made him gone "rogue" and ruthless against drivers. When he got suspended, he was approached by the VRT but he's not the chief. Maybe the Lieutenant of his own unit. But definitely, not the leader of the VRT.
This games story is so good, it gives enough information about the story but not too much, so u can make your own ending, your own good guy, your own bad guy.
@@frumpsterfire actually its the VRT who told F8 to take out Zephyr, also F8 was constantly provoked by Zephyr. So in doing so he took out Zephyr and the Police fired him from the service. So he took Zephyr place and became the ultimate Rival to challenge both Racers and Police. The final lines at the end of the Police cut scenes are actually F8 calling out to other junior police officers as well as challenging other Racers
Man I loved this game as kid but never finished it, bought it again a few weeks ago and was shocked by how deep the story was, just finished the cop career after the racer one and damm, just wow
Unregistered yeah. And the story continues. But this time the limits ARE OUT FROM THE REDVIEW COUNTY. The cops and racers rivalry continues. But a NEW ENEMY appears.
This has always been my favorite need for speed game. It's not just the game but the 2014 need for speed movie is also this game to some degree. If you watch the movie and play the game almost all the cars are the same and there are a lot of similarities.
What if Zephyr is actually in a coma after the accident, kinda like what happened to Tanner in Driver San Francisco, and the part where he started up his car was just all in his head.
I’m believing this to be the end of the game now. Zephyr wrecks, starts his engine but draws a final breath and passes out into a coma. F-8 is the cop that wrecked him into a coma and the police terminate F-8 so he takes Zephyr’s spot
the game is actually quite underrated, for its time, I mean the graphics still hold up to today and the story is one of the best we have in a racing game, it really makes you see both sides of the story
No, I think they know. They’re saying that Zephyr, the Racer, pushed too far in his fight against the cops, and that’s what got him injured and possibly killed.
I think after the crash he woke up startedhis car and drove off to the nearest place were he could get help and after he repaired his car and kept a low profile
came back to this game then finally analyzing the story. I conclude Zephyr was indeed killed or at least from what I heard between 17:48 and 17:56 , he is out; maybe fatally injured and at the hospital or jailed. At the end of zephyr's clip is a glass shattering sound cut off. It was a sensical transition to f-8's clip, when it began with also a glass shattering noise, with heavy breathing; possibly caused by the adrenaline of wanting to capture Zephyr. Although I prefer Zephyr to be still alive and moving. The sound cut off at 17:48 may refer to Zephyr losing his consciousness, since he's been speaking and hearing all the sirens and his engine starting up, but possibly went coma after another collision, hence, the glass shattering sound then suddenly cut off. (the idea is not mine, I've read it from the comments here; which for me, makes the best explanation for what is happening)
Neat. I actually tried stitching both parts together into one in audacity and it kinda works. And the way he gets hit _again_ after crashing into a roadblock is a certified NFS Rivals moment, ngl.
The only thing about NFS Heat story is this: "Dipshit, nice name" and "Phew! Nice ride! Maybe I impounded the wrong one!"... So basically just the memes.
It's a shame we likely wont get another nfs with this type of story again,, unless criterion actually says, fuck it, we're doing mw2012 again, but with rivals story style, and mw2012 visuals. Using abstract, dreamlike qualities interweaving with this sort of cop vs racer war, would show a different side of it. Hyper focus, to where reality is peeling away from yourself. You see the world in your own light. As a cop, it's a flash of blinding lights, screeching metal, ear ringing sirens, the loud yell of voices, and a visual of prison. The cells. Their own chains, caught around their ankles. This, represents being locked down to what they do. As their chases begin to cause adrenaline to surge, and they find the thrill of hunting down those who drive so quickly, they see they too love and relish the chance to drive way past the limit. And wish to be unbound, and let loose. As F-8 once said, after claiming the crown of zephyr, he is your opponent. Not your enemy. Your rival. For the racers, we see something else. Something, more open. The sound of burnouts and burning rubber on a valleyway drift circuit, visuals of fields, with clear skies and a burning sun. Freedom. The city streets and asphalt melting away into goo beneath their tires, sound fading out, like tuning a radio. The sole sounds of nature, being what remains in their ears. And yet, it is pierced. Chains, once again. But, not around their bodies and ankles. But around their tires and cars. Restricting that freedom they now have. To tear it away. The car begins to scream in pain, not through a voice, but from what it is. Metal. It hurts. It's truly hurts. pitch rising. Volume increases. And, when you feel like your eardrums are about to shatter, you see the light, of the one who hunts. The mask, of the opponent. The one who you challenge. The one who you teach. The face, of your rival.
I wish they actually make the movie about nfs rivals its would be so good its not a usual racing story its movie about 2 fractions, one trying to feel adrenaline and push they own limits and second one trying to stop them to keep peace on street
@@ralphlorenzperolino3054 boomer? I'm 20 years old my dude and anyone from a young individual to a grown adult will most likely say nfs mw has the best story
I like how Fate's pre-last speech (18:30) is an amalgomation of his and Zephyr's mentalities from the very beginning of the game (00:11 and 00:46), which makes me think that even if he _was_ kicked out of VRT, he just continued to do what he did. Just as a vigilante this time. In that impounded Enzo. Which is what _I_ am doing nowdays, since there's not much to do after reaching rank 61. Plus _patroling_ in an Enzo is just so unusual and _still_ throws off some newbie cops into thinking that i'm a racer. It even kinda makes sense gameplay-wise if you think of it like this: while higher ups would hate Fate for what he did, fellow patrolmen would prolly respect him and still assist him in his vigilante ways. Heck, maybe they'd provide him with the actual cop cars he used before or could use now (the Venom GT and variations of it and every other cop car that you unlock in post-game) through some illegal ways. I mean, Zephyr got his hads on the decomissioned Agera _somehow._ I might be looking into this too much, but then again, there are people out there that care _a whole awful lot_ about continuity IN A RACING FRANCHISE AS A WHOLE. The NFS Black Box era, specifically.
the last shot reveals that Zephyr miraculously survived the crash. Dumbfounded, he wakes up and shouts: “I'm a real reality show. The quarter of an hour you will never have ”. And then he adds: "It seems that speed kills, but speed makes you feel alive ...". After finishing his sentence, the shot is interrupted and Zephyr is heard starting the engine of his damaged car, before making his escape. However, Police Officer Fate knows he has escaped and will arrest him a few minutes later. With Zephyr out of the race, Fate takes his place behind the wheel of his Ferrari Enzo Ferrari, telling the other drivers that he is their rival.
@@angelthiel9051 1. In the end of NFS Rivals RCNN never mentioned that Zephyr was dead. 2. In another NFS game (I cant remember which one) said that a street racer went into hiding after crashing his car and comes out rarely to race. 3. In NFS Rivals. Zephyr never became a cop and took down racers, He stole an Agera and used it as a sort of "mask" to take down other cops and used it for other things. And in the end of the Grand Tour Zephyr crashes his McLaren P1, and after having a sort of "flashback" he turns on his car and escapes the cops.
Zephyr is dead guys btw. The racer ending is connected to Cop ending. So F-8 finished him off after he recited his values with difficulty before he dies. I mean when Fate appears he said “You are asleep. I am awake.” Refer to Zephyr being dead and Fate is now living for real. The Fate name is cool too. It’s the fate of the rivalry to change sides. Very cool story and I always loved it.
Summary : Zephyr, the racer that we are playing with crashes in his p1 right before the grand tour race ends because of a roadblock. F8 / fate gets terminated from being a cop and steals Zephyr’s cars and repairs the p1, this is also a reference to “you are asleep. I am awake”. It means that f8 is the “life you are too scared to live”. F8 is saying that you’re asleep (dead) and he is (awake) alive.
I'm still upset at zephyrs voice because during the one of the first trailers (a shortened version of the intro) he was voiced by sasuke, and he simply sounded better. Makes me wish they kept him for the whole thing
Good idea. Since the 2014 movie has rivalries, in the 2nd movie, it has to do with Tobey and Dino's rivalry after the events of the first movie, another character is introduced, and he will be the main antagonist, and he's a rogue cop who sends his allies to take Tobey and Dino down. Then they work together to take down the rogue cop and his allies for good.

my god, the last cutscene showing F8 transform from a cop to a pure blooded racer, from the aventador to the enzo, that whole flashback scene gave me chills. goddamnit, this game had a dark storyline if you understood it.
"you're the only asset we have with a shot at getting there in time. your assignment's simple. get to Zephyr. end it. end it now." this cutscene should have been like an intro to the final event. how i'd see it in a perfect world is the cutscene would play and as soon as it ends you'd get a time trial from a command post to the interceptor location, and it would be the hardest time trial in the game, with no medals, just a countdown until it's too late to stop Zephyr. then you'd get another cutscene where something like "get ready, he's closing in. this is all or nothing. good luck, officer." is said before the interceptor section starts where you'd be able to plan out your first move without the sirens so that it actually looks like a surprise attack, unlike the actual event where you'd just blitz down the highway at 200mph with the sirens on. then the chase would last a lot longer than any other interceptor because the guy is literally Zephyr, you have to feel some sort of accomplishment for busting him unlike the event in the actual game. then you'd get a clearer cutscene of what happened to both Zephyr and F-8 while still keeping some mystery. that's how i'd do the final event if i could make it my way. thoughts?
Man this is just dark , nfs rivals is supposed to be fun but..... This is just too dark , I mean it feels like both of them are already trying to kill each other 18:12 - best part
So like years later, man this stuff is deep, so f8 basically breaks after he got wronged by the department because he was fighting to stop the racers. So he played by the racers rules and is pretty much on a mission to break the racer community for taking away pretty much everything away from him.
To be honest. It's everyone's fault. Zephyr for pushing his limits to the point of death, F-8 for basically "giving" him (Zephyr) what he wants, the racers and cops for going full-on civil war mode, the VRT for giving the most aggressive and pissed-off cop the order to find Zephyr and take him down, and Officer John McManis for pushing his limits and nearly dying. The public had every right to be afraid. Moral of the story: Everyone has a limit. Don't push it.
And as the war continues, I like to think u play as F-8 in the end as he used to b the antagonist now he's the protagonist (as both cop and racer at the end) Zeph. survived miraculously but F-8 still got him. And took his place as a racer. Truly a rivalling story
How sad people tend to put spotlight over the old games after like several of new titles get released only to compare and feel great about themselves. I remember Rivals getting so hate at the time of its release when the game was an awesome release. After the getting all the hate when devs finally did something jaw dropping as NFS15 these “gamers” had to be bashful towards it as well. How fucking pathetic this industry is.
how fucking pathetic most wanted and underground peasants can be smh but the roots of NFS were racers and cops without tuning just you , the road , the other racers and cops
So can someone please point out anything in my understanding? So zephyr crashed and people thought he died but the revving if the engine says the didnt and he got away, and with the cop he got terminated from the force and became a racer?
UrAverageRider I think Zephyr is survive in final race in racer career but he getting bust by F8 in final mission in cop career. But in the end, we play as F8 in both faction after the career finished
Well, I assume that zephyr ends up being killed in his crash with Fate. Fate, the undercover officer, is critically wounded. Likely his car caught fire post impact, leaving him permanently scarred. As well, he enters a coma. During this coma, he is barraged by the events that rook place in the game. Recounting what occurred. His obsession with Zephyr. His drive to corrupt the racers from within. The exposure he got and leaked footage of his driving being of warfare. Zephyr taking an unused Koenigsegg CCX and using it to assault Fate's brothers in arms. He realizes that what's happening, his actions, were only making things worse. Turning a problem into civil war. The racers had a reason for being there. To keep order in Redview County. Balance. But the scales were being tipped too far. It was breaking. And when the officer awakens, his RPD badge is stricken and he is dishonorably discharged from the VRT, for excessive and possible murder. Fate is shattered. His Police identity, killed, as he killed Zephyr in cold blood. Or so he thinks. Zephyr, likely managed to leave his Zonda, and could have been stalking Fate after discharge. Training him. Until he completely snaps. The barrier is broken. And F-8 rises, to take the place of Zephyr and bring back order to the county.
RCPD Officers be like after seeing cross's cop corvette being brutally wrecked with the Rockport Police logo unto it: I've never heard of Rockport Police =/
Agreed. The counties should all recognize the M3GTR. MXX-HERO is famous. When it appears, it deserves the reverence it deserves. And criterion absolutely knows that. Just look at how they did mw2012's GTR cinematic. They...made an exploding sun, and...it became the...headlight...its just...wow...that shows just how much they recognize this car as being a legacy. Its raw power. And its engine is lost to time. But, if BMW schematics do exist, and they are salvageable, we WILL bring it back to life. We WILL bring the GTR to life once more. In all of its history. And all the roads will understand god's power.
Fate - 8 becomes a new leader racers while Zephyr is still alive ? I'm pretty sure that Zephyr was actually alive in that accident ... I mean come on , we didn't know what happened to him... And F - 8 steals his car , become a new leader and replace him...
Zephyr is alive but after the grand tour event(on racer campaign when Zephyr crashes on police roadblocks he survived but that not the end of story then(on cops campaign) there is the final event of the game where you need to bust Zephyr F-8 takedown Zephyr then he gets kicked out of VRT because of hes reckless actions he did with other races then he became a new leader and replace Zephyr place (Sorry for my bad English)
Headcanon incoming. The new top dog, F-8, is also the designation of a navy fighter, the Vought Crusader. This rogue cop represents the Christians that fought in the first crusades: those who were wronged, but their retribution goes too far.

Last time I played this game in 2013 on 360, I just played and that's all. But now when I play on PC with max graphics and I try to follow story, I understand this game, and I like it! Yeah I know its broken game, cops are annoying etc! But this game looks awesome in this frostbite engine, story is amazing and overall in my opinion it's nice game. If in this game would be some more opportunities like buy your own car and some more customization, cops be like in nfs 2015 and they fix those bugs when you drive too fast and game just froze for 3 secs but time is still going, then I thing this would be some amazing game! In both final cutscenes it never shows zephyr arrested and it never mentions him being arrested. I amagine they would have at least mentioned that in the cop one and in the racer one you can hear the car start again. So why do people keep saying he was arrested?
no he was not arrested nor he went to coma, in the racer cutscene you will notice he fled, and then in the cop cutscene you will notice that F8 hits his car and killed him...he breaths heavily and then died. And then you will hear the news saying about the accident. Zephyr was alive when you play as Racer but then he was killed by F8 when you play as Cop in Chapter 10. The cop final ending actually takes place after Zephry tried to flee
Yup and It seems as much. almost leaves it up to player-interpretation but I liked to think F-8 crashed into Zeph. actually killing him while he 🚔⛽🛣️ leaves almost seriously injured and yet terminated afterwards but replaces Zeph. As a racer in the end "F-8 will push me. I will push Him!" Damn that line more cold 🥶 (Edit: Zeph survived actually. Somehow 😩)
Theory I think that fate’s zero hour intercept mission took place during zephyr’s grand tour When fate was tryna take out zephyr zephyr was able to counter the last hit with an esf or shockwave That crashed fate and fate got terminated Zephyr completed grand tour however he crashed because of a roadblock Zephyr either went in hiding for a long time or went to another location And fate became the most wanted racer in redview
Racer Career: *Chapter 8&9* Honor Amongst Thieves/Over The Edge: Zephyr called on all of the racers to race around redview county to so called "protect our way of life from our true enemies" then gets chased by a bunch of VRT units and the Interceptor units planning to capture Zephyr at once while Zephyr and his racers marching through the streets and highways. This goes far beyond the Need for Speed:
In the beginning, F-8, our big-boy, badass, protagonist and Zephyr, the man with a P1, EMP, and a dream are both seemingly veteran drivers looking to carve their names in history.
And a few months later, F-8 rises as Redview County's newest top racer.
very nicely written, easily the best story ghost made.

Zephyr actually survives, F-8 never managed to catch him since we only see his car crashed on the railing and not Zephyr’s.
@@Choco_NutterThe news reporter did say that F-8 was seriously injured after colliding with Zephyr, maybe he (Zephyr) was conscious enough to drive away again? Maybe F-8 spun out and crashed? You're Zephyr when you're a racer. Because after the collision, you survived. Then, you found yourself out sitting hopeless, breathing lifeless. 'Til then you heard sirens. You turned on your engine, but unfortunately you got crashed by F-8.
You're F-8 when you're a cop. You broke Zephyr's car when you turned your sirens on to intercept and detain. Then after you crashed, wrecked Zephyr's car, you got terminated for reckless actions. You became a racer, rose up on the leaderboard, makes an open challenge to all racers, and enjoyed you whole life.

So this is the story of a cop who has gone rogue.
Except, zephyr doesnt draw his final breath... hear the sounds, he breathes, then... *supercar startup sound*
@@ayoutubeuser7613 Forgot to ping you. Read my comment above.

@@coolfxpro8067 Zephyr is not dead as seen in the Racer Ending. Instead, he wakes up from the collision and drives away from the county.
It is said that Zephyr is badly injured but not dead

came back to this game then finally analyzing the story.

Not sure about nfs heat but definately than nfs mw 2012 (I mean, can we even call that a storyline?)

I mean, Zephyr got his hads on the decomissioned Agera _somehow._

The best NFS intro in the NFS history
Fun fact: Zephyr voices in the Brazilian Portuguese Version is more deeper, because it's the same voice actor of Brazilian Aiden Pearce from WD1
I'm still upset at zephyrs voice because during the one of the first trailers (a shortened version of the intro) he was voiced by sasuke, and he simply sounded better. Makes me wish they kept him for the whole thing

Need for speed rivals would be a good movie.

"you're the only asset we have with a shot at getting there in time. your assignment's simple. get to Zephyr. end it. end it now."
this cutscene should have been like an intro to the final event.
how i'd see it in a perfect world is the cutscene would play and as soon as it ends you'd get a time trial from a command post to the interceptor location, and it would be the hardest time trial in the game, with no medals, just a countdown until it's too late to stop Zephyr. then you'd get another cutscene where something like "get ready, he's closing in. this is all or nothing. good luck, officer." is said before the interceptor section starts where you'd be able to plan out your first move without the sirens so that it actually looks like a surprise attack, unlike the actual event where you'd just blitz down the highway at 200mph with the sirens on. then the chase would last a lot longer than any other interceptor because the guy is literally Zephyr, you have to feel some sort of accomplishment for busting him unlike the event in the actual game. then you'd get a clearer cutscene of what happened to both Zephyr and F-8 while still keeping some mystery.
that's how i'd do the final event if i could make it my way.
thoughts?
Yeah that’s actually an epic way to go

A game with such style. I remembered every moment of it. Years later…it looks just as good…if not better!!!

Channel logo in the beginning is menacing. Hope bring it back.

Redwolf Gamer I don't know about the cop but zephry espaces probably
Correct
UrAverageRider I think Zephyr is survive in final race in racer career but he getting bust by F8 in final mission in cop career. But in the end, we play as F8 in both faction after the career finished
Zephyr escaped the crush . In the end Zephyr wins. And F-8 relised his true desire.
F-8 became the racer and took Zephyr's place.

While waiting nfs 2015 release, I thought I can just complete Rivals, and it takes just few hours.
I know this game is not that best is nfs community, but I respect EVERY nfs game, and I have played every nfs (but not nfs nitro).

As a racer in the end
"F-8 will push me. I will push Him!" Damn that line more cold 🥶

this is a whole-ass movie. This game isn't even a need for speed anymore. The stroy, the action, this is everything and beyond
Theory
I think that fate’s zero hour intercept mission took place during zephyr’s grand tour
When fate was tryna take out zephyr zephyr was able to counter the last hit with an esf or shockwave
That crashed fate and fate got terminated
Zephyr completed grand tour however he crashed because of a roadblock
Zephyr either went in hiding for a long time or went to another location
And fate became the most wanted racer in redview
Racer Career:
*Chapter 8&9*
Honor Amongst Thieves/Over The Edge:
Zephyr called on all of the racers to race around redview county to so called "protect our way of life from our true enemies" then gets chased by a bunch of VRT units and the Interceptor units planning to capture Zephyr at once while Zephyr and his racers marching through the streets and highways.
When Zephyr reaches the finish line, he immediately pulled his brakes out then crashes right into the roadblock and having him on a coma.
Then, he had a dream about him saying "I am the reality show, the 15 minutes you'll never have. They say speed kills. But if u aren't speeding......then you aren't living."
Then the dream suddenly interrupts when he hears his car starts and fled the scene before the cops came as u can hear some sirens at the background.
Cop Career:
*Chapter 9&10*
Zero Hours/Dark Waters:
The VRT then ordered F-8 to find and capture or takedown Zephyr at once before he continues being a danger to society of Redview.
F-8 then spots Zephyr fleeing across Sun Valley Run and chases after him for hours.
F-8 then made a hard T-Bone collision with Zephyr causing Zephyr to die from his heavy injuries while F-8 is still alive while sustain from his critical injuries
F-8 then gets taken to a hospital while the doctors tries to keep him alive as possible
F-8 woked up and saw the VRT standing right next to him, telling him that he is being fired from the force because the VRT soon finds out that he was the one who was causing all the havoc while using with his impounded Enzo.
F-8 then gets taken out of the hospital and soon changed his mind about becoming a racer thinking about going back to that old F-8's personality from before because he feels that its more fun rather than being an ordinary cop.
Then he decides to drive the impounded Enzo becoming the racer like he did before and starts making videos about him telling every opponents to race him, challenge him and even faster.
The End
