I think this game is the reason cops were toned down. Despite having infinite repairs with no cool down the cops still had a high chance of busting you.
That’s what makes it fun

All the while putting a 1.873.487 SP at risk being taken away by MAX level cops.
Playing as a cop in this game was simultaneously the easiest and most fun thing I've ever thing I've ever done in a NFS game.
Playing as a Driver also very challenging in Rivals.
Rivals was probably one of the if not the most intense need for speed games Fr and I liked it
Rivals was one of my only NFS experiences. I just bought Heat during this year’s Cyber Monday sale, and after I got into my first few police chases at night, those heart-pumping moments began pouring back into me. I have never had such a high BPM from playing a game in years.

NFS with health bars while on a chase is something that will truly pump adrenaline in the highest intensity. Like 0 hp = bust
1:35 The effect of the screen wiggling with turbo activation was pretty crazy. I really liked it. If EA implemented this effect at just the beginning of the turbo, it would be perfect.

i bet the cops get paid at least 100k+ a year to forcefully put their npc life at risk just to get stressed out as soon as you hear "Vehicle Damage Critical."

Or u could try to make a u turn shock wave him and then turbo away that’s what I do and I finish them under 30 secs but this technique works well too

Dude i love this game. Its somehow much more intense than unbound and stays fun for hours at a time. Wish NFS would take notes from its older games.
Big nostalgia, still remember playing this NFS when I was 5-7 years old. My fav one is Rivals, Undercover and Pro Street.

As a fellow rivals player, I personally think that in the cop career, the Lamborghini Aventador is the best performing car outside of DLC mainly because it has the best acceleration out of all the cars.

A great tip for this game I wish I knew years ago. Idk why it works like this but if you tap and hold the brake for a second or two WHILE HOLDING the gas down, it helps so much with turning in faster cars in this game and makes controlling a drift way easier. Just the games mechanics that take a bit to get used to

Bought the nfs bundle and finally got into a nfs mood and this was my first time playing rivals. Was reading a lot of people hated it back then but ive been enjoying it a lot. Has a couple of bugs and crashing but when it runs good omg its intense lol

Me and ny friends still run this game on the regular 3 v 3 no abilities apart from spikes, road block and choppers for cops and turbo boost and jammer for racers. We also pick cars that have similar or just a tiny bit faster for the cops.
Gas stations are limited to 3 uses and cops are not aloud to open the map to locate players or set way points to them.
Cops spawn on the map 1st and then racers so they can spawn miles away from them.
The objective is to finish 5 races and hit heat 10 then escape back inside and racers win a point. Cops is just to bust all racers. If even a single racer gets away racer team still gets the point
Games intense and chases are looong and crazy with these rule sets in a private match
1st to 5 points.
Braking the gass station rules means ya gotta stop your car for 20 seconds
(naturally this has you a massive chance of being busted, Or not if you got away)

The issue i had played NFS Rivals online on PC was every 30 mins to 1 hour i was being sorted into a random server with online free play for no apparent reason. After 3 4 hours i was like thats it. I cant play this anymore right now..

this is basically the NFS 2015 experience, the game is online only but you cant play online for 30 minutes without getting disconnected
This game has singleplayer.
You can play offline unlike 2015.

Both games are pretty solid, hot pursuit is less open world focused and more scripted but rivals car list is a bit lacking especially considering some cars are solely locked behind the police or dlc. I think it really depends what your looking for. Hope I helped!
