At least we got a good story unlike the previous ones. This was really down to earth. All about street racing with a twist of illegal activities from both sides.

As corny as the story was (Which isn't a bad thing I thought it was still entertaining) I gained a lot of respect for his character during that scene because he risked his ass and his dad's Camaro to save his sis and the player.
Motorcycles were planned to appear in the game as drivable vehicles, but they abandoned this concept so they could focus on the way the cars handle. There's unused motorcycle in the car lot hidden in the game's assets.
People who first time playing a NFS game and see Mercer drive BMW M3 GTR in Heat : Wow, Nice Car Mercer. People who play all NFS games and see Mercer steal BMW M3 GTR : Wait,That's my M3...Son of a..
I beat the whole game with the BMW M3 GTR (nfs mw) and got really confused at the end of the game when Mercer started making a run for it at the end with the exact identical car.
As far as we know, Shaw didn't got caught (or at least we don't see it) or died. So he could be in the upcoming NFS Unbound. Definitely the best cop actor since Cross.
so that means a racer repaired the gtr from carbon and got it impounded in heat and he never came back to the gtr after it got released since the m3 gtr was given to the player

The car was bought by Mercer and brought to an independent workshop/chop shop to be repaired. How Darius was the original owner? Go to NFSCarbon and observe right before the Canyon cutscene with cross begins. Darius will tell to the player that the police looks for him and things are bad and he advised the player to take his car and leave. The car? A BMW M3 GTR
Γιάννης Παναγιώτης Τζανάκος well, actually the car that Darius gave to the player was the blue Supra you see the protagonist escape in at the end of the race with Kenji, Wolf and Angie. But that makes me wonder, where did the M3 even come from. We escaped in a Supra with a bag full of tickets instead of money and wind up in Rockport in a M3 GTR😳
the designing of the characters despite of the kinda low quality actions and stuff are borderline amazing.they even made Shaw as the most irritating-looking visual on the whole HEAT to give his presence more impact in the story
The tone of the story was spot on for an NFS game and the characters (specially the antagonists) were pretty good, but I found the story too short and too "rushed" for it to be truly memorable. I really wanted to see more of Shaw. The ending was also very underwhelming. I wish Ghost had more time and/or resources to develop the next game so we can have a similar story but more fleshed out. Also, don´t know if y'all noticed but the keys in 28:48 weren't there in the previous shot LMAO, and even if they were it feels very cliche and forced for Mercer to just leave them there. Continuity problems like these ruin the immersion for me and are a symptom of everything I already pointed out.
Honestly the story just feels incomplete, like there’s supposed to be a lot more planned for this but was cut due to time constraints. Fortunately the gameplay is good enough to keep me coming back
I agree the story is too short. Still, it's a return to the Blackbox era of NFS. I see hints of Underground 2, Most Wanted 2005, Carbon, and Pro Street in here. I haven't been impressed with Criterion's NFS instalments.

The way how grip works in that game is unlike any other racing game I’ve played. Encourages racing lines instead of drifting where if you drift you do slow down even if you do get nitrous it’s only for emergencies. But you probably won’t get the fastest times by drifting.
Very, *very* different operations in that city, between Day and Night. It even gets called out, during the story mode, when Mercer asks two of his most loyal, to pull some daytime assistance, to deal with the Protags, and even daytime’s command is like “Hol’ up. Wait a minute.”
Heat has intense chases because of the healthbar Rivals has intense chases because of the ruthless cops,emp weapons and also healthbar Most Wanted and Carbon have intense chases because of the memorable pursuit soundtrack and the pursuit breakers.

If what you're saying is true and that's the case, then the real M3 GTR must have been repaired by Razor's "Trollers" crew and is now in his hands (it was delivered in the newest entry of the franchise - NFS UNBOUND - by YOU). @@hybridShinx Unpopular opinion: I loved the story of Payback more than Heat. Heat feels like a rushed story with a lot of loose ends that made no sense. The corrupted cops were impounding cars so they can make money off them but they DID impound them for illegal activities they were doing as well. Are the cops the good guys? Heck no. But I can't take side with the racers either. In other NFS games the police was just a feature and not the main story, which I think it should be kept that way. Even in MW2005 I don't think Cross was a bad guy. Also The Run definitely made more sense than this. The guy was simply racing across the US for money, its a simple story they literally didn't had too much to think about but it simply worked.

She definitely took a dark turn if she did kill him but it opens up a story for a new game, which I still would want to see but Payback interests me more in that regard. Arkwright seems like a stronger organization than The House ever was but we can't know for sure they we're evil. Their story definitely interests me more than Torres' story.

I do not know exactly why but this is a recurring glitch that happens in cutscenes, beginning of races and other instances. My guess is when they are loaded in they collide with the map or other objects that are rendered at the same time

Payback is what Fast and Furious 8 REALLY should have been! At least make Mercer and Shaw get killed off as payback for their hypocrisy against street racing.
If EA made of this game the new mw i wanted it like this: Year: 2019. Location: Fortune Valley. Plot: It has been 14 years since Razor got smoked and busted, during all this time, Razor and his crew escaped jail and are planning their revenge against the player. Doing so they met Darius and his Stacked Deck and defeated them. Both Razor and Darius share the same enemy so both of them ally each other because of a common foe. In the meantime, Cross, who spied them for a while now, informs the player and his crew (The seven outlaws) that Razor and Darius joined forces and they're hiding to Silver Rock. So the player and his crew (with the help of Mia and Rog) head there A.S.A.P. At their arrival they hear stories about suspect drivers seen in town recently and have also heard another story happened 2 years earlier. "The house has been defeated and the Collector is on the run". The player says that this story is true and Nikki (his wife) agrees. The crew goes to the Aerodrome 73 to meet Tyler Morgan, Jessica Miller, Sean Mcallister and Rav, telling them if they saw some suspect pilots in town. Ty says he saw someone he've never seen last day. Mia suspect it's either Razor or Darius then Tyler describes it, It was wearing a jacket and a hat and his car was an Aston Martin DB9. The player then interrups him saying it was Darius. Rav then says they have to cooperate. Jess and Mia agree and so the player and Tyler's crews became allies to each other to defeat the Blacklist and the Stacked Deck. With the Blacklist and the Stacked deck. Sonny informs Razor and Darius that the player and his crew found them and allied themselves with Tyler's crew and their allies. Razor and Darius like a challenge and then they decide to act. In the meantime the two crews after they have heard their foe's cry for war they start to move as well, racing multiple times till the last showdown. After Razor and Darius were defeated, Ronnie and kenji suggest that they surrender but Razor and Darius are not those tipical guys who give up after a race and then Kenji and Ronnie takes both of them down explaining the player, Tyler and their crews that they just sold them out. Razor and Darius tells Ronnie and Kenji that they'll pay for betraying them and both of them tells them "We'll see about that" and leaves them to the police. The player and the others were satysfied for how the job went and celebrate their victory. At the airfield Tyler tells them to call if they would need help, the player agrees and says the same to them, then they give each other their final goodbye and then they leave.
The M3 GTR has been passed around so many times, remained the fastest on the NFS universe that I'm not gonna be surprised if it can beat Futuristic cars.

I would also love to see a scene, when we pull up with M3 GTR to someone and he says it's his ride (which would mean that's the player from MW and Carbon).

@@kemalsimsek1420 I imagine, that some of the M3's we see in previous NFS titles (I mean Most wanted 2012, NFS2015, No Limits and Payback as the examples) are all copies of the original car meant to just look like the famous M3 GTR. In reality, they sound far different from the original car.
If what you're saying is true and that's the case, then the real M3 GTR must have been repaired by Razor's "Trollers" crew and is now in his hands (it was delivered in the newest entry of the franchise - NFS UNBOUND - by YOU).

@@hybridShinx Unpopular opinion: I loved the story of Payback more than Heat. Heat feels like a rushed story with a lot of loose ends that made no sense. The corrupted cops were impounding cars so they can make money off them but they DID impound them for illegal activities they were doing as well. Are the cops the good guys? Heck no. But I can't take side with the racers either. In other NFS games the police was just a feature and not the main story, which I think it should be kept that way. Even in MW2005 I don't think Cross was a bad guy. Also The Run definitely made more sense than this. The guy was simply racing across the US for money, its a simple story they literally didn't had too much to think about but it simply worked.

She definitely took a dark turn if she did kill him but it opens up a story for a new game, which I still would want to see but Payback interests me more in that regard. Arkwright seems like a stronger organization than The House ever was but we can't know for sure they we're evil. Their story definitely interests me more than Torres' story.

I do not know exactly why but this is a recurring glitch that happens in cutscenes, beginning of races and other instances. My guess is when they are loaded in they collide with the map or other objects that are rendered at the same time

Year: 2019.
Location: Fortune Valley.
Plot: It has been 14 years since Razor got smoked and busted, during all this time, Razor and his crew escaped jail and are planning their revenge against the player. Doing so they met Darius and his Stacked Deck and defeated them. Both Razor and Darius share the same enemy so both of them ally each other because of a common foe. In the meantime, Cross, who spied them for a while now, informs the player and his crew (The seven outlaws) that Razor and Darius joined forces and they're hiding to Silver Rock. So the player and his crew (with the help of Mia and Rog) head there A.S.A.P. At their arrival they hear stories about suspect drivers seen in town recently and have also heard another story happened 2 years earlier. "The house has been defeated and the Collector is on the run". The player says that this story is true and Nikki (his wife) agrees. The crew goes to the Aerodrome 73 to meet Tyler Morgan, Jessica Miller, Sean Mcallister and Rav, telling them if they saw some suspect pilots in town. Ty says he saw someone he've never seen last day. Mia suspect it's either Razor or Darius then Tyler describes it, It was wearing a jacket and a hat and his car was an Aston Martin DB9. The player then interrups him saying it was Darius. Rav then says they have to cooperate. Jess and Mia agree and so the player and Tyler's crews became allies to each other to defeat the Blacklist and the Stacked Deck. With the Blacklist and the Stacked deck. Sonny informs Razor and Darius that the player and his crew found them and allied themselves with Tyler's crew and their allies. Razor and Darius like a challenge and then they decide to act. In the meantime the two crews after they have heard their foe's cry for war they start to move as well, racing multiple times till the last showdown. After Razor and Darius were defeated, Ronnie and kenji suggest that they surrender but Razor and Darius are not those tipical guys who give up after a race and then Kenji and Ronnie takes both of them down explaining the player, Tyler and their crews that they just sold them out. Razor and Darius tells Ronnie and Kenji that they'll pay for betraying them and both of them tells them "We'll see about that" and leaves them to the police. The player and the others were satysfied for how the job went and celebrate their victory. At the airfield Tyler tells them to call if they would need help, the player agrees and says the same to them, then they give each other their final goodbye and then they leave.
